My stay was initially quite pleasant. The front-line staff were consistently warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout. When a small issue arose with our travel photos, the hotel promptly communicated and resolved it, which I appreciated. I thought I was going to have a wonderful experience, but it was completely ruined by one utterly unprofessional staff member, plummeting my satisfaction!
While riding the shuttle bus, we politely asked the shuttle driver about the hotel's attractions and photo spots. The driver was halfway through explaining when another person nearby suddenly interjected and answered for him! Her attitude was extremely rude, cold, and dismissive. She was sarcastic the entire time, even accusing us of not speaking clearly. We were just asking basic, straightforward questions about attractions, and I truly don't understand how we could have possibly expressed ourselves more 'clearly'. When we politely asked about photo spots, she flat-out said there weren't any, and was incredibly impatient. Yet, later we saw clear signs for photo spots all over the hotel. We got zero useful information, only a belly full of frustration and anger!
Afterward, the hotel told us this person was a 'secondary employee' and wasn't on duty, which is why she wasn't wearing an ID badge. I completely reject this flimsy explanation! Why was she wearing a uniform, riding a guest shuttle, and casually interjecting to address guests if she wasn't on duty? It's one thing to be unfamiliar with hotel operations and lack service awareness, but she didn't even have basic human decency. She seemed to be working with a chip on her shoulder, acting condescendingly, as if we, the guests, were accommodating her bad mood!
In stark contrast, all the other shuttle drivers were kind, friendly, patient, and enthusiastic, creating an incredibly jarring difference! The hotel's reputation, carefully built by its front-line staff, was completely destroyed by this 'secondary employee' who showed no rules, no professionalism, and no respect. The hotel merely offered a casual explanation of her identity without any indication of intending to improve. Such tolerance for employee misconduct is truly disheartening. I will never recommend this hotel, nor will I ever stay here again!

This is a really comfortable hotel. Every time I visit Haikou, I make sure to stay here for a night. The main reason is their amazing 830-meter deep hot spring directly in the rooms – a soak there just melts away all the fatigue. The rooms are spacious and bright. Plus, the hotel is very close to the Qilou Old Street, just a short taxi ride (minimum fare). There's even an airport shuttle nearby. It's truly great.

Our first family room had a damp smell, but the front desk manager kindly helped us switch to another family room facing the sea. The service was attentive, and the room was clean. Breakfast had a decent variety, and the environment was pleasant. The water park wasn't open yet, and the ocean park didn't have much to do besides taking photos. It was off-season, so there weren't many people. The kids' world is still under construction. There's a food street near the hotel, making dining quite convenient. The hotel also offers a paid mini-train ride that takes you around the hotel for 40 minutes at 15 yuan per ride, which is worth it. There's Twin Beach near the Hilton, which is great for watching the sunset. If the island's facilities improve further, I would definitely visit again.

My stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the facilities were complete and worked well. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and was well-balanced, a true delight for the taste buds. Our housekeeper, Julia, was friendly and responded to our requests quickly and efficiently. Consumables and any other items we needed in the room were replenished as requested. Her service was truly professional.

I originally chose this hotel because it was 'about to become a Fairmont,' and even though the sign outside no longer says that, my overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The hardware was particularly surprising: the hotel extensively uses carpeting, both in the rooms and public areas. Knowing that maintaining carpets in a high-humidity, high-salinity coastal area is extremely difficult (most seaside hotels opt for wood or tile floors – I still remember the indescribable smell at The Royal Begonia, a Luxury Collection Resort, Sanya), the carpet condition in my room this stay was excellent. It's clear they put a lot of effort into maintenance, especially for a hotel that's already nearly 20 years old (or even older?). Check-in was seamless (I didn't catch the name of the kind lady who helped me). There was also a follow-up call to the room after I settled in, which very few hotels do. While the hotel's pool isn't huge, it's very well-designed, encircling the garden with both deep and shallow areas. Seating is well-spaced out (unlike the packed rows at Sheraton, for instance), offering a genuine resort feel where guests can relax without disturbing each other. Swimming and sunbathing there were very pleasant. From the pool, you can walk out to the seaside boardwalk, which leads all the way down to Wuyuanhe National Wetland Park. It's perfect for an evening stroll or a morning workout. Coming back from a run along the beach in the morning and then soaking in the hot spring really brings on that holiday vibe. Even though it hasn't become a Fairmont yet, the hospitality lives up to the 'Royal Service' mentioned on the phone. Thank you for the hospitality, and special thanks to Megan for her thoughtful touch. For someone who loves carpets and a resort atmosphere, this is a place in Haikou worth relaxing at, and I'd definitely want to come back again.

As a partial Hainanese local, I chose the Haikou Marriott for a staycation this time. Perhaps because I'd read reviews, my overall experience exceeded expectations.
The hotel is right by the West Coast, and opening the balcony door reveals ocean views. The executive lounge also offers expansive views, making a light meal and an evening breeze particularly enjoyable.
The public areas are designed compactly and cleverly. One side hides a large, separate adult pool area. The children's area has pontoon bridges, waterslides, and hot springs. Tropical vegetation is scattered throughout, exuding a relaxed resort vibe. Check-in was very efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly throughout. Our butler, Michelle, added me on WeChat in advance and was quick to respond and resolve any issues, which was especially valuable during the busy May Day holiday.
The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was just right in terms of firmness, and the bathroom was spacious. It was exceptionally quiet at night. The humidity is very high this season, so I communicated in advance to arrange for a dehumidifier and air purifier to combat the dampness. The room stayed very dry. A tip: before sleeping, empty the dehumidifier and set it for about five hours to avoid being woken by the full-water alarm at night.
Breakfast offered a rich variety. You could tell the hotel was eager to satisfy all guests' tastes, from the children's dining area with local specialty noodles and soups to Western pastries, various yogurts, and porridge. Replenishments were also very timely.
The location is very close to the duty-free shop. After dinner, you can take a taxi for a quick visit when it's less crowded at night.
I was especially happy with the activities during the May Day holiday. The bonfire party on the first day and the Nature Forest Kids' Camp activities were all free to attend, almost as if they were tailor-made for my child! Woodworking, creative cardboard crafts, water fights, pottery – teachers Grape and Dolphin were incredibly patient. My child was so busy with classes at the hotel, he didn't want to go anywhere else, haha!
The hotel's travel photography was also a pleasant surprise. The Hanfu styling was excellent value for money; they patiently spent an hour and a half on my makeup and hair. Any corridor in the hotel provided a grand backdrop for photos, and the final results were excellent. Definitely worth trying!

My stay at Wuzhishan Hot Spring Hotel in Haikou was absolutely fantastic! The location is incredibly convenient, right in the city center with tons of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. It's walking distance to Qilou Old Street and various commercial areas, making getting around super easy. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was really comfortable. The biggest surprise was that the in-room water comes from a natural hot spring 1,000 meters underground – the water quality is incredibly smooth and溫潤. Soaking in it was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. Some rooms even have bathtubs, which makes for an even more enjoyable hot spring experience. I had such a comfortable stay. The hotel facilities are excellent, and overall, it offers great value for money. My experience far exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Haikou!

I was thoroughly impressed by the service at this hotel! From helping with luggage to check-in, everyone greeted us with a smile. I was traveling with my child, and the front desk immediately provided a toiletries kit, which my child loved. Our butler, Nita, was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and even assisting with booking a travel photoshoot. In the evening, she prepared a bedtime dessert for my child – the papaya and white fungus soup was delicious! Before we checked out, Nita also arranged a late check-out for us, telling us not to rush, which was incredibly thoughtful. I definitely have to commend the hotel's service! 👍🏻

Amy at the reservation center was very enthusiastic and introduced the activities during the May Day holiday. Fishing and shrimping, which my little friend really likes, was very fun. Informing in advance that we can take the transfer point bus for free at the transfer station avoided a lot of embarrassment.
Especially Amy was very careful to remind us to pay attention to the weather and take good sun protection. It was a very considerate service. I will come to Boao next time.

This is a high-end hotel with a great environment and it's very clean – perfect for a vacation. The kids had an amazing time with all the activities, including the Hot Spring Valley, the water park, and Squirrel Tribe. If you want to enjoy the hot springs, it's best to go early to have more time.

WWudifenghuolun88688I stayed here three years ago and loved how quiet and wonderful it was, so I decided to come back. Some areas are showing a bit of age, especially that utility pole on the hill – the paint looks like it's peeling off! 😂
The room itself was great, but booking through Ctrip meant I couldn't earn points. 😅 The bed was super comfy, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. There were hardly any lights shining in, so when I woke up in the middle of the night, I honestly thought I'd gone blind! 🤣🤣
The breakfast offered a good variety, and the taste was decent with good quality, including several local specialties. My only minor complaint is that the cutlery was too small and felt a bit cheap, being plastic.
The hot spring pool was quite deep, which might not be ideal for elderly guests with mobility issues. I really enjoyed the swimming pool, and it was great that they provided free kickboards and back floats for use.
KKanzhenchuanUpon entering the hotel, Skye, one of the porters, proactively and enthusiastically helped me with the door and my luggage, instantly making me feel welcome and at home.
At the front desk, Gina's fluent Mandarin made me think she was from northern China. I even asked her where she was from, and when I found out she was local, it really spoke to the hotel's professionalism.
I arrived late in the evening and went to the Chinese restaurant to try some Hainanese specialties like local fish and black goat. The server recommended an affordable set menu, which was excellent! 👍
Next time I'm in Haikou, I'll definitely book your hotel in advance (I'll come back just for that little fish pond!).

AAnnieWe went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels.
Cleanliness: overall quite clean.
Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island.
Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced.
Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them.

GGuest UserThis is the most expensive and largest DoubleTree by Hilton I've ever stayed at. The hotel's overall facilities are decent, but the management clearly isn't up to par. The hot spring pools are also quite small, with only a few open. I booked a lake-view room, but they assigned me a room on the fifth floor where you can barely see the lake. The front desk even tried to trick me by saying that the fifth floor was the highest for this room type. The beef noodle soup from room service was truly awful, and expensive to boot. The hotel is quite large, but the lakeside is overgrown with weeds and poorly maintained. The room maintenance is also mediocre; the air purifier in the room was so noisy I couldn't sleep, so I had to turn it off.
GGuest UserAI recently stayed at Nanshan Temple Muyin, Qinghuandu Rainforest View Hotel, and overall, it was a very peaceful and enjoyable experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all amenities in excellent condition, which made my stay truly relaxing.
The service was excellent. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. A great example of this was when I tried to work out at the gym, which is located outdoors and had flooring that wasn’t ideal. The staff noticed me exercising and promptly offered an exercise mat so that my clothes would not get dirty. This thoughtful gesture left a positive impression.
The hotel facilities were generally good, and the serene environment around the property added to the experience. The food was okay—not bad, but nothing particularly outstanding. Still, it didn’t take away from the overall comfort of my stay.
In summary, Nanshan Temple Muyin, Qinghuandu Rainforest View Hotel is a great choice for those looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent service and comfortable rooms, even if the dining experience could be improved slightly.
