The absolute best thing about this place is its location. Situated directly across from Taipei Main Station, it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. The back alleys are also packed with amazing street food – a definite highlight. However, on the downside, the facilities are quite dated and could really use a renovation. Specifically, the showerhead in the bathroom was difficult to control, causing water to spray all over the floor. It would also have been a nice touch if the instant coffee provided came with creamer. Lastly, the seating area in the lobby was quite limited.

The hotel has limited facilities, with a laundry room but no gym. However, its location is incredibly convenient, it's spotlessly clean, and offers fantastic value for money! Taipei Main Station, Beimen Station, and Ximending are all within a 10-minute walk. The surrounding area boasts plenty of great food options, shops like Sanmin Bookstore, and banks and post offices where you can easily exchange foreign currency, making everything incredibly convenient!

The hotel is situated at a good location of Taipei. The MTR is easily accessible. Many good shops and restaurants are in the hotel building. It’s very convenient for people who don’t know much about the city.

Overall, pretty good. Would recommend staying here. The location is quite convenient, with numerous bus stops right outside. There are plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner nearby, plus a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart downstairs. However, a crucial heads-up: **definitely bring earplugs!** The air conditioning unit is extremely loud, making it impossible to sleep without them. Additionally, the shower curtain in the bathroom was moldy, so be mindful if you plan on using it.

I recently stayed at Vagus Hotel in Taipei and was impressed by several of its special characteristics. The hotel boasts a prime location, just a short walk from Taipei Main Station and Ningxia Night Market. This made exploring the city incredibly convenient, whether I was hopping on a train or enjoying local street food. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, featuring air-conditioning, a private bathroom, and essential amenities that ensured a pleasant stay. Additionally, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent, with a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi adding to the convenience. However, there was one notable downside during my stay: the water pressure for bathing was very low, and the hot water supply was unstable. This made showering less comfortable than I had hoped, as it was challenging to get a consistent flow of warm water. I sincerely hope the hotel management can address this issue by improving the water pressure and stabilizing the hot water supply, as it would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Despite this drawback, I would still recommend Vagus Hotel to others. Its strategic location, comfortable rooms, and great service make it a strong choice for travelers. With some improvements to the bathing facilities, I believe this hotel could offer an even more enjoyable stay.

had a wonderful experience staying at Palais de Chine Hotel. The hotel beautifully blends classic European elegance with modern luxury, creating a unique and sophisticated atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed, with high-quality furnishings and a cozy ambience. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and luxurious with excellent amenities. The service was top-notch—staff were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of both Western and Asian options, all fresh and delicious. Location-wise, the hotel is ideally situated with easy access to Taipei Main Station and shopping centers, making it very convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, Palais de Chine offers a refined and relaxing stay in the heart of Taipei. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, style, and great hospitality.

This hotel is a hidden gem, with great location just near the MRT but in a quite neighbourhood nearby a trendy area. Rooms are comfy, and there are laundry machines and water coolers for the guests, as well as great shower and bathroom in the room. However, when we arrived there was hair in the bathroom, as well as on the bed. We've asked to change the bedding, and they've done it quickly while we were still in the room, which was great, but we still found hairs on the new beddings, so maybe they should check their laundry machine filters. Breakfast was OK minus, and without too many vegeterian options, and a bit too local. But overall this hotel is a good option with great amenities all around.

A great option for the price in Taipei. Most ”affordable” hotels in Taipei are in Ximen, but to me that area is too touristy and noisy. Also the hotels there dont have great CP value. But this hotel I think is good, the room has a large TV, bed is also fairly spacious, and there is a bathtub. Even a small kind of couch. And the hotel is near the shuangjian station, which is two stops away from Taipei Main Station.

New building with great interior design and excellent rooms. I have stayed in pricier hotels in Taipei which did not measure up to this hotel. The beds and beddings were very comfortable, rooms modern with giant TV and I loved the smart split of toilet and bath. Gym had what you need for a quick and effective workout. I will for sure stay here again. There’s a metro station right outside as well as restaurants and 7-11. Brilliant. I wasn’t impressed by using Starbucks as the sole f&b provider in the hotel but that doesn’t matter given the outside choices.
