Pleasant staff at reception and calm assured. In addition there are shutters, so we are assured not to be disturbed by the early morning light. Breakfast a little basic for the price"

"So disappointed. We have been here many times over the past 10/15 years and always found everything to be perfect, from the rooms, to the food, to the service Sadly, not the same this time. Our room had a fan with no instructions so we were unable to operate it. We have a tap that doesn’t work and a basin with no way to let it drain. During dinner outside there were no lights so everyone had to eat in the dark and no explanation or apology from the staff. I don’t criticise the staff…they were all working hard and very pleasant but all in the dark. So SO disappointing. We are here for 1 more night….will things improve??? I hope so, but fear not."

"If you want the experience of staying in a real Chateau with all the modern conveniences this is the place. It is exceptional. Decorated to a very high standard the Chateau is adorned with antique furniture and artefacts. The owner speaks a little English and I speak a little French, so enough to make each of us understood. There is excellent WIFI but you need to ask the host for the code; best done whilst checking in as the information in the bedroom is only in French (with WIFI connected Google Translate explains everything you need to know in your language). The continental breakfast is served in the dining room at a large round table that you share with other guests and is well above average. The Chateau is highly recommended."

"The property was exquisite and situated in a rather smart part of Soissons. Our host was charming and very amusing. The apartment was furnished with beautiful antique furniture throughout and included a kitchen area, should you wish to self cater. The bed was very comfortable and the whole apartment was clean and tidy, but unfortunately the soap dispenser appeared to contain diluted soap and we had nowhere to put toiletries in the shower. Could do with more lighting in the toilet and we noticed rather interesting electrics on the wall? We managed with one hand towel, but could have done with more than three hangers. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with very fresh produce."
