"The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the centre, it is not very well outdoor, but the room is comfortable inside and the owners are very nice. Breakfast is served by the owner in the entrance hall and offers good house-made marmalades, as well as fresh brioches and a little salt. The lack of a TV in the room and a bed with a good mattress are only negative notes but the cycling network that warns whenever you changed sleeping position. "

"HOTEL PORTOCONTE, ALGHERO: una vera OASI di Accoglienza, Gentilezza, Divertimento e Professionalità. Soggiorniamo (mamma Isa, papà Jgor, la piccola Kloe di 7 anni) in Hotel, dal 2 al 15 luglio, in pensione completa. Dal primo ingresso, abbiamo avvertito un ambiente estremamente piacevole ed ospitale. RECEPTION/DIREZIONE: accoglienza delicata e premurosa. Esposizione chiara di tutti i servizi offerti. La Signora Alessandra, colei che ci ha assistito nella prenotazione online, anche in presenza, si è dimostrata gentile e attenta ad ogni nostro quesito. Il Signor James (della direzione) è costantemente presente nella struttura, donandoci un sentito saluto, ogni giorno. BAR. Si trova vicino alla terrazza panoramica ed offre un incantevole paesaggio: mare meraviglioso (a pochissimi passi), è straordinario! Una rinvigorente sosta da concedersi per una rilassante pausa pranzo, un fresco aperitivo, un buon caffè accompagnato da piacevoli dialoghi. IL RISTORANTE: ambiente moderno e accogliente. Camerieri e Maitre: veloci, sorridenti ed altamente professionali. Stiamo vivendo, a tavola, ogni giorno, esperienze di intenso piacere! La colazione è riccamente imbandita con un buffet. Tantissime proposte deliziose tra dolce e salato. Adoriamo i croissant di loro produzione, appena sfornati! PRANZO E CENA: squisiti piatti (tutti freschi e genuini) proposti in un ricco menu che cambia ogni giorno, fra cui scegliere (sul momento) fra almeno quattro diversi primi e secondi. Frutta e gelato (nei diversi gusti) in entrambi i pasti ed un irrinunciabile dolce proposto, ad ogni cena, dal pasticciere. Stiamo interagendo, in particolare, con alcuni Camerieri e Maitre: Martin: adoriamo la sua discrezione e la sua vera classe nel servirci ciascun piatto. Andrea e Francesco: simpaticissimi nelle loro esternazioni. Luigi e Franco: sorridenti e fulminei ad ogni nostra richiesta. RIASSETTO GIORNALIERO CAMERA: semplicemente ottima! ANIMAZIONE: Azienda Anno Zero Turismo, Alessio (Capo Animatore, a soli 18 anni!): organizza e gestisce con creatività e fantasia il nostro soggiorno, proponendo attività ricreative e sportive davvero coinvolgenti, ricche di sorrisi e spensieratezza! Il Dj Riccardo: non ama ballare ma ama far ballare! Chiara: sorridente e professionale. Beatrice: dolcezza infinita. Baby dance, balli di gruppo, attività ludiche, bagni in piscina ed al mare, rendono nostra figlia Kloe sempre raggiante e felice! La bella e discreta Grazia: papà Jgor, partecipa ad ogni sua lezione pomeridiana di Acquagym! Il bell’Andrea: l’animatore più educato e rispettoso, mai conosciuto prima! AREE VERDI HOTEL: un sentito e sincero GRAZIE al Signor Gian Franco: un artista nel suo genere! È piuttosto raro vedere, in un Hotel, le aree verdi così ben tenute: aiuole bellissime, pieni di fiori, con tanti colori che, accanto al mare, regalano ai nostri occhi una vista magica! Ottocento Guest House

"A guesthouse in Alghero's historic center, nestled in the heart of the city, just steps from all the local attractions. The room was very clean and equipped with the comforts and amenities of a higher-end hotel. Minibar products and tea and herbal tea kits were included in the price, as was the travel kit in the bathroom, which even included a toothbrush (not a given for a guesthouse). The host's kindness is paramount; from our first phone call, Mauro was very attentive, first and foremost, advising us on the best place to park (being located in a restricted traffic zone, access is limited at certain times), and then explaining the online check-in process. The value for money was absolutely excellent considering the services offered. What can I say... we'll definitely be back!"

"How should I put it? It was as good as home, but it was not easy to park. There were no serious restaurants or scenery around, and it was in a run-down urban area. I drove by myself. It wasn’t until the next day that I drove a long distance to Palau, the northern tip of Sardinia, and realized why this place was... Friends, if you come back to this Mediterranean tourist destination, you should fly to Olbia instead of Alghero. The northern part of Sardinia, close to Corsica, is its essence."

"Free parking in front of the hotel, a very warm welcome, and they speak French. All the staff were very attentive, thank you again. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide selection. The hotel was very clean. However, the rooms were not soundproofed; we could hear chairs scraping, toilets flushing, doors closing… very disturbing."
