"Location was very good. Food was good. Staff was very good and also service. But overall experience was not good. Poor Lighting was observed specially in the restaurant entry stairs. My wife had fallen and badly injured. All the stairs edges should be marked with florescent tape. Also First aid kit was not available , may be due to Holi. But Going forward these should be corrected , so other person will not face such issues in future. I am not raising complain ,should also take care compliance issue for all the registered hotel. "

"I have not stayed. Booked this hotel at 11pm and 1 am we came to know hotel is not in almira city but 30km away in jalna which is in almira district. Being scammed it was taking 1 hr from almira due to hilly region. As driver rejected to travel further, hotel rejected to cancel and wanted to eat up all money paid. Later mmt spoke to them and agreed full refund, as night will be done in morning. So in morning hotelier scammed mmt and said now i can do 50% only and took advantage of the situation and mmt didn't refund full amount and cheated us too."

The Kumaon
"Location of the kumaon is good balance between secluded and within range of to do cafes and temple of kasar devi. Vehicle doesn’t go through till the gate of the property. It is a 300m walk from the parking area where they send porters to carry your luggage. Property is 8/10. It is a mix of brutalist style blending with the nature. I personally quite liked it. Others may find it bland. There are not many things to do in the property other than a spa and they do organise walk and hikes which suites the theme well but many might think it lacks entertainment. Rooms are pristinely clean and well designed. All rooms have exceptional vibe as it blends into the nature perfectly. You can just open the window and sit , you’ll feel you’re in the jungle but with all the facilities. Abhinav has made sure the vibe of the whole property is surely set with perfect kind of music playing throughout the common areas and dining hall. Otherwise the property is very peaceful and free from any noise. Now the staff and service is where the kumaon just takes a step further beyond imagination. All the staff are local to kasar devi. They are well trained and extremely polite. Abhinav and the whole team takes up a notch with regards to the service they offer. Since it was my honeymoon, he was kind enough to give us complementary spa. Food is always good and extremely well curated. You can get range from local kumaoni thali to continental menus for your meals. Breakfast is also well stacked with freshly baked muffins. Value is a very subjective topic for luxury hotels. I would certainly say that it’s an experience you should take if you can afford it to just enjoy the space and luxury rather than any sightseeing"

"Essence of Nature is a beautiful Resort and Spa. The rooms are very comfortable with an amazing view. The resort has many activities, like nature trekking, temple visit, spa, ATV ride, night trekking, bonfire, large variety of food etc. we were 15 family members, travelling from Delhi in 4 cars. We enjoyed our family time, and we clicked many memorable pictures. Their staff was very polite, fast service. Lots of Greenery and its a peaceful resort. Highly recommended 👍"
Himkosi Farm by the River
"This is a long review and will be on below points: 1. Location: Place is located approx 10 Kms before Almora. Nearest point is Karbala if anyone going through public transport. The road is proper and last 1.5kms is off roading and need good 4x4 Vehicle to cover. Resort team sends their vehicle to the village from where the off roading starts. 2. Place: The resort is right next to river Kosi and covered by lush green hills. It looks like a movie set. One can feel the peace and hear the sound of beautiful river flowing. 3. Food: The food is very delicious, I would like to thank the kitchen staff for such good meals for us. The menu is limited but they can cook as per need if we tell in advance. Specially non veg as they need to get it from Almora town. 4. Staff: Dinesh team is very polite and supportive. A special thanks to Dinesh and Manoj who were there all the time during our 3 days stay. They were always ready to help. 5. Rooms: Rooms are spacious with all basic amenities except AC's as it is not needed. They have two decks which have double occupancy, 4 people occupancy and dormatory as well. Common room is there where one can read books. The resort is kid friendly and will be more fun if you are in group. Also, Dinesh is a certified hiker and mountaineer and one can take him for a small trek to river and nearby hills."

"Nayalap was exactly what we needed at exactly the right time. Nestled in the midst of jaw dropping and awe inspiring views, its an adobe to connect back with nature. An early morning tea with a view of Nanda Devi or a bonfire in the night gazing at the moon and stars. While we can keep on talking on and on about the natural beauty, Nayalap, run so amazingly by Tanuja and her team (Prem, Chandan and Deepak), allows you to connect and appreciate nature. The food, cooked by Prem, is amazingly delicious and homely. Chandan is available in a minute, treats you well and ***** with Deepak ensures your comfort and cleanliness of the tents. The tents are beautifully and thoughtfully designed with varied books talking about Uttarakhand. But the best part of the entire Nayalap experience was interacting with Tanuja. She understands the nature around and her love for the same comes across in the conversations. If you really want the Nayalap experience, you have to go on a Trek with Tanuja. As much as we would like to keep the place hidden, this is one of those where all nature lovers should go."
Thikalna Himalayan Retreat
"We had a fantastic family vacation as we travelled with our kids - aged 10 and 6 years. The key highlights were daily hikes in nature trails which are very untouched, the great and customised food at the resort and the seclusion in the midst of nature. We would highly recommend the place to experience true natural beauty of the Himalayas and on a good clear day we also got a fantastic view of the snow peaked Himalayas which was surreal. It is very much away from the commercial areas and offers a unique experience in the mountains."
