I booked this hotel for the reputation and brand of Kaiyuan and because it was newly opened, but the check-in experience was very unpleasant. When booking, there were only twin rooms and chess and card rooms left. Because the chess and card room has a large bed, I chose the chess and card room. The first room I checked into had a strong smell of smoke. I didn't even put down my luggage and went directly to the front desk to ask if there were any other large bed rooms. The front desk told me that they were all full. Then I asked if there were twin rooms, and twin rooms were also OK. The front desk also said that there were no more, only executive suites, but the price was not cheap. I asked how much it was, but the front desk didn't immediately quote the price and kept looking for it on the computer and mobile phone. After about a few minutes, it said that the retail price was more than 800. I was a little hesitant and my husband said it was okay. Because I was very uncomfortable with motion sickness at the time, I thought about staying quickly and agreed to pay extra to stay in the executive suite. The front desk even called the manager to ask if I could upgrade the room, and the answer I got was no! I was puzzled. Can't I upgrade the room by myself? It's not free! While asking at the front desk, I looked at Ctrip. There were extra rooms on Ctrip, but the answer we got was that there were no vacancies! Then, the front desk said that there was another chess and card room and took my husband to see it. There was no smell of smoke in this room, so we stayed there. I lay down to rest because I was not feeling well. As soon as I lay down, I saw that the inspection port of the ceiling was open! Later, I asked the hotel to close it. I thought I could have a good rest for a night. About an hour later, it should be around 8:30. Someone checked in to the room next to me and started playing mahjong again. At around 9 o'clock, my husband and I couldn't stand such a check-in environment. I didn't know if the people next to us would play mahjong all night, so we started to pack up and change hotels. The funny thing is, when my husband went to check out with a face, the front desk said that we could upgrade the room and give us a souvenir. I hope we don't give a bad review, but my husband decisively refused. In fact, the floor where we lived was full of chess and card rooms and many of them were empty. But after we checked in, another person was arranged to live next to us. Because when I checked in, the front desk saw that I was not feeling well and poured me some water, so I really don’t understand whether they arranged a group of mahjong players to live next to us on purpose. Don’t say that since I booked a chess and card room, I should have expected that the room would be smoky and noisy. Well, this is the first time I booked a chess and card room and I didn’t know it was such an environment. The front desk did not fulfill its obligation to inform, and I also asked to pay more for a better room but was rejected. Secondly, do I have no right to rest well when I live in a chess and card room? I deserve to be noisy? Pets are not allowed in the hotel, but when I checked in, I saw guests bringing their pets in, and no staff stopped them. For such a big brand hotel, the sound insulation of the chess and card room is particularly poor! Later we moved to the Vienna Hotel in the city. The service at the front desk was particularly good, gentle and polite. I was so angry that I laughed. What service does Kaiyuan have? The store is big and bullies customers. There is no room change, no room upgrade, and even the room price is not mentioned. Don’t you have any training before opening?"
