It’s a domestic B&B
The room is key-locked, there is no room card, and the door does not look very strong.
The electricity was cut off for 2 minutes on the second night, and there was no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room.
It is relatively close to the palace and the market, only 10 minutes by car.
If you have a limited budget or want to find a cheap hotel, you can meet your expectations.

We stayed here for three nights, this place is a little paradise! We had two rooms looking out on the pool, which is surrounded by beautiful plants, you feel like you’re in the jungle. It is a 10’ walk from the very busy city center, so you are near everything but you find yourself in a quiet oasis. The staff I super friendly and helpful. We loved it here! There are some great restaurants very nearby, and tour choice of breakfast is served on your terrace in front of the room,at your chosen time. We were sorry to leave but hope to come back some time! Highly recommend!

I stayed here for 2 weeks. Clean, pool, lots of greens, wake up to bird-calls, right next to great vegan restaurants if you are one, basic but good breakfast, excellent wi-fi, walking distance to city-center and other highlights and above all, a warm, friendly, understanding and soft-spoken host Rusmini !

I'm staying in the BNB section of Recep Bungalows. These were fully renovated in 2019 and hardly used due to Covid so everything is pretty new including a comfortable bed, inside bathroom (YAY) I was so surprised to have, a working refrigerator, flat screen TV, safety deposit box and breakfast served to my room every day plus daily housekeeping. Fast WiFi and really clean pool all for approx. $29 AUD. I love Rusmini and her family who run Recep. Nothing is too much trouble. I've stayed here twice now and would always pick this spot as it's in my favourite area, Penestanan next door to Alchemy cafe and opposite their new yoga studio. So central to everything and within walking distance to Ubud central.

Close to a narrow street with traffic Recep Bungalow is quiet, without noise, only the birds, the chickens, the rooster, the chicks, the cats and the small dog resonate. Everything is green, lush vegetation transposes us in 1 other world, all the rooms have 1 different style and everyone can find their own..A swimming pool allows you to relax..The staff is pleasant and helpful, as well as Rusmini, the owner of the place..I recommend strongly
