Harbin Hotels with Bars

This is the 7th Ritz-Carlton I've stayed at in China, so this review is a comparative one, judging it against other Ritz properties. Overall: The hotel is excellent 👍. Its location is close to the Harbin Ice and Snow World, the environment is superb, the facilities are great, and the service is on the higher end of the Ritz-Carltons I've experienced. Room: Relatively new, with well-designed facilities. I booked a Club River View King Room, and the view was absolutely fantastic 👍. Club Benefits: The hotel's executive lounge has been closed for over 6 months. Club benefits have been relocated to the restaurant and the lobby lounge. The afternoon tea was outstanding, with quality and taste ranking among the best I've had at Ritz-Carltons. Dinner and lunch were served as a buffet directly in the Western restaurant, which was a very generous move by the hotel, effectively upgrading the club benefits' standard and class 👍. The food quality was comparable to that of the Nanjing Ritz-Carlton (minus champagne, but they had ham and salmon sashimi). Everyday soft drinks from the lounge benefits could be enjoyed at the lobby lounge, including Evian water, which really elevated the experience 👍. The only minor flaw was the fried dough twists at the buffet; they had become damp and soft. Gym: The gym is located on the 37th floor and offers river views. The environment and equipment are quite comprehensive compared to other Ritz-Carltons. However, it still falls short when compared to other hotel groups. For serious trainers, it might feel a bit lacking (it seems most Ritz-Carltons don't prioritize gyms much). Nevertheless, it's sufficient for general use. Breakfast: A wide variety of choices, and the taste was quite good. However, the wontons and baozi were pre-packaged, not freshly made, which is a step down from other Ritz-Carltons. Service: The overall service was excellent, meeting Ritz-Carlton's standards. However, I have two suggestions I hope the hotel will consider. First: Check-in is on the 54th-floor lobby. After exiting the elevator on the 54th floor, you need to make two turns to reach the front desk. There were no staff members to guide guests at the elevator on the 54th floor, which is not very friendly for first-time guests. I made this suggestion on the day of my arrival, but despite several entries and exits during my stay, I didn't see any improvement. The hotel could learn from other Ritz-Carltons. The Chengdu Ritz-Carlton also has check-in upstairs, but there's always someone at the elevator to guide guests. The Nanjing and Sanya Ritz-Carltons have staff directly taking you to the front desk from downstairs. The Suzhou Ritz-Carlton uses a walkie-talkie downstairs to inform the upstairs reception to assist guests. These are all practices you could adopt. Second: Due to the lounge closure, soft drinks are usually served in the lobby lounge, but there's no dedicated drink menu. Staff members show guests options via screenshots on their phones, which seems unprofessional. I hope they can provide a special soft drink menu for executive club guests. Third: During dinner at the buffet restaurant, there were many service staff, and they were excellent. However, at lunch, while there were still a good number of staff, they seemed to be from other departments helping out, not dedicated restaurant staff, so the service felt less professional. Summary: A highly recommended hotel, excellent overall.

The room was spotless and well-equipped. It's conveniently located near a subway station, shopping malls, a park, and a snack street – everything you could want. The service was incredibly thoughtful; the shift manager and staff personally guided us and patiently explained routes to every guest. The hotel even gave us cute star hair clips as a unique souvenir! The parking lot is spacious, and the hotel offers expansive views. I highly recommend this hotel; the experience was fantastic! The hotel has some pros and cons. The pros: 1. The location of the hotel is superb, Right on the Northern side of zhongyangdajie. 2. The gym is adequate, it has good strength training options. Unfortunately the AC doesn't work in the room itself. 3. The staff was happy to allow us a late checkout. The cons: 1. The entrance to the hotel does not have a ramp to go up with the luggage so one must lift it over the stairs into the lobby. I didn't expect that in a 4 star hotel. 2. I've made a reservation for a non smoking room, away from the elevator but got a room with smoke smell, close to the elevator. The staff showed me 3 more rooms but the first two also had smoke smell. Finally we got a room without smell and far from the elevator. 3. The breakfast, in my humble opinion, was subpar. Not too many western options. 4. The hotel doesn't look clean. The surroundings of the elevator need more work. All in all I was a bit disappointed, considering the price.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Central Street. There's a supermarket right next door downstairs, which is super convenient for grabbing snacks and drinks. The hotel lobby is very clean, and the front desk staff are warm and welcoming. They even upgraded my room, which was clean, spacious, very hygienic, and comfortable. The soundproofing was quite good, the vanity was spotless, and the shower had a great wet/dry separation. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Harbin.

Extremely satisfied! Harbin locals are incredibly welcoming. I had originally booked the Wyndham in Songbei, but a driver friend advised me it wasn't convenient and suggested I switch to the Central Street area. So, I took their advice and changed to this hotel. This place is super convenient! Just a few hundred meters away is Daoli Market, a hub of amazing food. Central Street, a must-visit attraction, is also only a few hundred meters away, and St. Sophia Cathedral is right across the street. The Shangzhi Street subway station is also very close. In short, staying here is just so convenient for sightseeing, food, and getting around. The staff were also excellent. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel service was great; they upgraded our room, which was very comfortable. The hot springs were a bit crowded and noisy, but the kids had a blast. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. There's an outlet mall right next door, which is good for a browse. I'd suggest adding more entertainment options.

We chose this hotel for our trip to Yabuli, and its location is fantastic. There are plenty of recreational activities right within the resort. Our stay was excellent; the room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the bedding was super comfortable. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was very efficient. The environment is quiet, and overall, it offers good value for money. Plus, the sightseeing cable car offers beautiful views, and the Rainbow Flying Carpet is exciting and fun! Highly recommend!

Let's start with the positives: The hotel's decor is very unique, and the rooms are spacious. There's a hotel cable car that goes directly across the river, making it very close to Central Street, and the cable car views are fantastic. The hotel is right by the river, with a small sandy beach where you can play in the water. The hotel is located within Sun Island Scenic Area, so it's very close to the Panda House. Now for the negatives: The heating is very poor; there's no underfloor heating, and the air conditioning doesn't produce heat. The front desk provided a space heater, but the room is quite large, so it couldn't warm it up at all. Hot water also takes a long time to come through; you have to run the water for several minutes before it gets hot, which essentially makes showering impossible. The breakfast is very basic, and the dining area is even colder than the rooms. I'd recommend not having breakfast at the hotel. The hotel requires entry through a mall entrance, and the mall closes at 9 PM. So, if you want to go out or return after 9 PM, you need to call the front desk to open the door. Since the hotel is inside the Sun Island Scenic Area, when taking a taxi into the area, you have to shout to the park security, ”I'm a guest at [hotel name]” to be allowed in. Also, when ordering a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the hotel, you need to register the Didi car's license plate number at the front desk for the car to be able to drive from the park entrance to the hotel. The above is for your reference. The front desk service was very attentive, and even though there were some issues with the facilities, the front desk staff were helpful in resolving them. I believe the experience would be better during peak tourist season.

When I checked in, the front desk attendant had already filled out the ski equipment size form for me. The ski equipment hall on the first floor is exclusively for guests, which is super convenient. When we arrived at the ski hall, the staff had already prepared all our gear, saving us a lot of time and effort. The restaurant on the first floor serves excellent food; we tried various dishes for three consecutive days. There's a QR code in the room for ordering food, so you don't even have to leave to get your meals delivered. A special shout-out to the front desk staff (Zheng Linchun, Sun Yuxin, Li Yan, Teng Yaoxuan); they were incredibly patient and helpful with all the questions my two kids had.

The location of the hotel is so convinient, it's close to grocery stores, restaurants, mosques and morning markets and many more. The staff is very helpfull, the environment in here is so warm. I like my stay in here.
