Guest UserTraveling to Harbin with my kids and dog, I specifically chose this pet-friendly hotel. It was an excellent choice, absolutely no regrets! The hotel is located right on the main street of Zhonghua Baroque, with a clean and atmospheric ambiance. They offer breakfast and afternoon tea; the breakfast is especially unique, beautifully presented in a nine-grid bento style, and tastes delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. Right outside the hotel, you can easily visit century-old European-style buildings, and public transportation is just a few minutes' walk away. Downstairs, you'll find authentic Northeastern restaurants and old-fashioned pastry shops, making dining and shopping super convenient – no need to trek to distant commercial districts. You can spend an entire day exploring and eating, which is incredibly handy. Great value for money! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Harbin. [Rose emoji]

Guest UserOur first stop on a family trip, the 1.35-meter twin room was perfect – clean and with comfortable bedding. The hotel's location is excellent; you just walk out, cross a small street, and in three minutes you're at the Central Street Madie'er Hotel. Keep walking and you'll reach the popular Hongzhuan Street Morning Market. The Harbin Museum is right behind the hotel. The service was great too; I needed to print some express shipping labels for urgent work, and the hotel staff quickly helped me out.

The hotel's decor style is very new and different from the older Holiday Inn Express, perhaps they've updated their product line. The front desk lady quietly upgraded our room type, and the room was very characteristic of Northeast China, haha. It's spacious and very clean, with not a single water stain on the faucets or showerhead, which made my OCD very happy. It's a shame we had to switch hotels later to go elsewhere, otherwise, I would have definitely stayed here longer. Breakfast was also very rich. Thumbs up!

Guest UserThe service was thoughtful and enthusiastic, the afternoon tea was plentiful, and the hygiene standards were met. The hotel is within walking distance of Central Street, Flood Control Memorial Tower, Middle East Railway Bridge, and St. Sophia Cathedral. It's located on the 5th floor of an office building, and navigating to Baojie Plaza makes it easy to find. Although the hotel is small with only one elevator, the design details show the effort put into creating an aesthetic appeal.

Excellent stay! The location is fantastic, very close to several popular attractions, all within walking distance. They offer complimentary afternoon tea, robot service, and unlimited free bottled water. Although it's a bit noisy due to poor soundproofing, the hotel provides free eye masks and earplugs which solves the issue. All the staff were friendly and proactive. Thumbs up for this hotel!

Guest UserWe stayed at the hotel in early August. Upon arrival, the concierge and front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center and very close to Central Street, just a short walk downstairs. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. The restaurant environment was also lovely, and the staff there were warm and attentive. This is a great place for business trips, tourism, or family stays. We would definitely visit again if we have the chance.

Great location with a spacious parking lot. The staff were very welcoming and responsive. I accidentally booked the wrong dates, and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating the change. The hotel is right next to a ski resort, and they even offered free skiing passes for the whole family, which was a nice bonus!

Guest UserThe hotel is generally good, with an excellent location very close to Central Street and convenient amenities nearby. However, the downside is that the rooms are too small, old, and have poor soundproofing. The service is good. The polar bear specimen in the lobby is a nice, original touch.

Guest UserWhat's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night?
The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view.
The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please.
This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret.
It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place?
Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.
