"It's a pretty good guesthouse, or more accurately, a youth hostel, in an old Japanese-style house with wooden floors and tatami mats.
Figures 1-8 are all public places. At night, a group of Western young people in kimonos gathered around a fire, drinking and chatting. It was quite interesting to watch, and if you enjoy the atmosphere, you can join in.
All rooms have shared bathrooms. We stayed in a double room, which was quite basic, but not inconvenient. There are also bunk beds and dormitories. Since rooms are hard to find in Hakone on weekends, all hotels are fully booked, so the price is acceptable for a night.
Although this hotel doesn't have a hot spring, you can find other places nearby.
It's next to the Open-Air Museum, with a bus stop right outside. Across the street is Hakone Junior High School, and I could just see a group of students passing by from my window.
Hakone is a truly beautiful place, and one of the most unforgettable parts of my trip to Japan!"

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel's food is really delicious. We ate dinner, breakfast and lunch in the hotel and were very satisfied. The cost-effectiveness of the food is definitely much better than that in Shanghai!

AAnonymous UserA very beautiful ryokan, old but very well maintained. The decor is so beautiful. From the moment you check in, you will be in good hands of the ryokan, well served with friendliness. Keiseki meals (dinner and breakfast) are served in the room. Food is delicious! And love the private outdoor onsen!! U get to book for 30 minutes per day for the stay. Well worth the price.

AAnhao-SophiaSecond stay, the hotel environment is very good, hot spring is also very good. Meals, breakfast and dinner are rich, delivered to the room, but the barbecue and hot pot smell very strong, I proposed to eat in the restaurant, and applied several times before being approved. My companions were sick, and all the pharmacies nearby were closed due to the economic depression. The first aid kit in the hotel was not updated, and it was barely enough for emergency. The town is quite quiet, the forest art gallery and sightseeing train are still there, but they are obviously very dilapidated.

WWendaoA wonderful experience at Asante Inn in Hakone
This stay at Asante Inn in Hakone was full of surprises! The Japanese-style garden is full of Japanese Zen, and it is super beautiful to take pictures. The owner is enthusiastic and fluent in English. The African artworks in the store are unique and come from his African experience. The stories are super interesting.
Staying in dorm, you will meet travelers from all over the world. The atmosphere is good, and the price is 1200 yen per night, which is very cost-effective. Breakfast and dinner are about 1200 yen, and they are delicious and authentic. You can also make an appointment for private time to soak in the hot springs, which is private and comfortable. There is also a luggage transportation service at Yumoto Station, which is super considerate. I sincerely recommend coming here to experience a different Hakone trip!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is right next to Lake Ashi, just a few minutes' walk from the shore. Outside the lobby, there's a hot spring foot bath where you can relax your body and mind after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. There's also a small shop in the lobby selling Hakone specialties. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets offer a wide variety of dishes; I particularly enjoyed a certain grilled fish, and the desserts were plentiful – it was a feast for both the eyes and the palate! I hope to visit again. The hotel is very close to Togendai Ropeway Station and the Togendai Pirate Ship pier, just about a 7-8 minute walk from the back exit, making it very convenient for transportation.

CcghucgkeThe hotel is just around the corner from the mountain train station. The environment is very good and the facilities are complete. Toiletries and lotions are provided. You can check in directly with just a change of clothes. I left my luggage at the Tokyo Hotel. The Kaiseki dinner was of good quality. If you are not used to Kaiseki, you can get off at the previous stop, Mori no Bijutsu. There is Lawson opposite. Buy some snacks, instant noodles and cook in the microwave!

GGuest UserWe got to the hotel in the beautiful location just before 3pm and we got given a little tour of the place and then got shown to our room. The staff are very friendly and do their best to speak English. A lovely lady was in charge of our hospitality throughout our stay and she first showed us that there is a public hot spring and a private hot spring and asked us if we would like to book a time to use the private hot spring, we booked a time as we checked in but then we didn’t use it as we were happy with our private hot spring in the room. We also booked a time for dinner and they arrived at that time
Promptly with A LOT of food. We also got a choice for a staple food and we chose some steak which was high quality and delicious, as well as the lobster (on the menu it said grilled prawn but a lobster is what came and it was delicious). We ordered a few beers and a bottle of wine with room service and it always came quickly and was nice and cold.
The private hot spring is absolutely boiling but it’s a good experience and there’s ice water provided which helps.
Breakfast came at 8.30am and it was also huge! It didn’t come with coffee but I ordered some and that was easy enough.
The lady who served our food explained every dish and how to eat it and she was always extremely friendly and attentive.
Would recommend!

HHenryjilumeihaoshenghuoThe facilities are OK, the hygiene is OK, but the service is really average, even bad: the hotel laid out one less mattress, and agreed to pay an extra 8,800 yen upon arrival, but in the end it became 42,000 yen upon departure? ? ! After I got the hotel confirmation letter, it seemed to be wrong, 8,800 per night? OK, I didn't have time because I was catching a flight, otherwise I really wanted to have a good argument with the hotel. The road to the hotel is also very steep, and you need to go up a very steep slope. I will not choose this hotel again

アアントIt's close to the tourist area of Hakone, there's a bus service, and there are Italian restaurants and supermarkets nearby, so it was very convenient for me this time.
And it was even better that there was a parking lot.
I'd like to use it again.

GGregorio GastaldiA very pleasant visit to kind, simple and peaceful people. I like a lot the location of the homestay, out of the center, up hill, need to move your ass to reach it. The hottest onsen I’ve been haha but also the most comfy as it’s private. I miss Rum already, what a nice dog, same as all the staff. A really worthy stop in Hakone with local people who feel real in an area full of tourism. Thanks a lot for taking care of my bags after my check in, those gestures are the ones that really count!
