Probably my favourite place I have stayed while traveling. I stayed in a shared room, which was very quiet but designed not to look like prison but actually comfortable. The ”capsule” has good amout of space and privacy. My favourite part was the shared spaces such as the lounge/kitchen area and onsen. The kitchen is well equipped and has amenities you’d never think of having, like the machine for making shaved ice and coffee brewers. It is very comfortable and has great atmosphere and great views outside. The onsen was amazing as well, with two kinds of pools outdoor and indoor available. The onsen looks and feels amazing. It opens from early morning to midnight, which gives flexible time to go take a bath. Overall great place to stay, next to a bus stop and a little walk to the Hakone Tozan railway. Konbini few minutes away, bakery, italian restaurant and couple shrines next to it.

The entire hotel feels incredibly cozy, and the host is absolutely wonderful. I left some personal items behind in Tokyo, and the host went above and beyond, constantly communicating with my next hotel to help me retrieve them. Every time I left or returned, the host was there to greet me. You can really feel their dedication to running this guesthouse. Highly recommended!

What an amazing guest house with beautiful interior design! This was the best stay I’ve had in Japan so far. The staff are super kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is zen and social. I loved having dinner there (you need to reserve in advance as spots are limited). It was delicious and a wonderful experience to wear yukatas as a group. A big thank you to Nana, Kira and Fuko :)) Another great advantage is the location is excellent, right by the Hakone open air museum (best museum I’ve ever been to) and near a Lawson and 7/11. There’s also a bus stop right there and the closest train station is only a few min away by foot and Gora station is about a 15 min walk. I think the Hakone free pass is also worth doing for 2-3 days because the value and convenience is very good. One morning, I had breakfast in the caravan parked outside the guesthouse, run by Tom, and that was practical and yummy. I didn’t have time to check this out, but there’s the Hakone foot spa nearby that’s supposed to have nice views and there’s also the Beer Bar by Gora Brewery that looks nice for dinner or lunch. Kowakidani Horaien Gardens and Chisuji Falls are also nearby (20 min walk). Overall, I highly recommend this place and would gladly have stayed longer and hope to come back one day! ☀️ When i first arrived, i thought i was at the wrong place - i‘ve never booked something so nice for myself before! 🪲PROS - chill 4 people bedrooms, with a comfy bed and a big personal shelf + locker and a fridge for the room - clean facilities and rooms - towel, toothpaste/toothpaste and yukata were provided as well as shampoo and showergel - the common room was so cozy and nice, with tea and water always at the ready and a great view of the garden - i was satisfied with both the dinner and breakfast and the price was fairly cheap (~1200¥ or a bit more, depending on your choices) - PRIVATE ONSEN that you can book for around 50minutes at night and can use in the morning if nobody else is already using it (costs around 150¥ per use) - there is a shuttle bus going at pretty regular times in the morning. They offer a ride to both Gora-Station or Hakone-Open-Air-Museum! 🩸CONS - far from the city-centre/train station 🌱 i really enjoyed my stay. I had cool roomies that became travel companions and absolutely loved the inn, the onsen, the food and the kind staff! Definitely a recommendation if you ever decide to stay in Hakone - i would book again!

The hotel is located in a hot spring guesthouse village, and the last bus from Hakone-Yumoto to the hotel is at 8 PM. There's one indoor and one outdoor hot spring. They swap between male and female use throughout the day in two separate time slots, so at one time the outdoor bath is for women, and at another, it's for men. This experience wasn't ideal; it felt a bit confusing. Also, no toothbrushes or toothpaste were provided.

This hostel in the hot spring town is incredibly cost-effective. It took some getting used to on the first day, but we found it quite nice after a while. We stayed several nights and had many European and American guests, including some families and a South American couple. They probably preferred the hostel's atmosphere. You can buy food at the Lawson convenience store in town and store it in the fridge, then have breakfast in the communal kitchen. Since the shops on the street stay open quite late in the morning, it's very convenient, affordable, and quiet.

*The guest villa was nice, clean, and comfortable.* We had a small issue at check-in though. The check-in email only came in at 4:30 PM, but we arrived at 3:00 PM. Plus our room was changed from 201 to 101, so the code we got didn’t work. Luckily the staff was there when we arrived and helped us check into the new room quickly. *Facilities:* Washing machine is paid - 6kg for 400 Yen. Dryer is 100 Yen for 30 mins but clothes don’t get fully dry, so we still had to hang them out. The drying area is small but clean enough. Bathroom was clean too and overall facilities are good. I love the shower, Handheld shower head *Location:* Great spot, close to the station and a 7-Eleven convenience store. So sorry, I forgot take photos. Beds are comfortable, tpp

We really loved the onsen and the hotel itself. The man gave us a tour with a Russian translator for added convenience! We only stayed there for one day, but it was wonderful! The views are stunning, the bus stop is nearby, everything was great.

If you're particular about dust on windowsills and walls, or the hygiene of bedding (excluding the covers), you might want to reconsider booking. While the duvet cover was clean, it's just a single cover, so as you toss and turn in your sleep, your body inevitably touches the duvet itself. However, considering the insane accommodation prices in Hakone, this place is incredibly, truly cheap! The location requires taking a bus to get anywhere, but the bus stop is close by. Be warned, Japanese rural bus schedules are a real headache! Make sure to check the bus times carefully for both your inbound and outbound journeys. Plan your day by checking the timetable for each bus route, otherwise, you could easily waste an hour or two. The staff are incredibly friendly. I met different staff members upon arrival, during my stay, and at check-out, and they were all genuinely super friendly. In short: Would I book here again if I revisited Hakone? Yes!

It is an old house, a restaurant on the first floor, a kitchen on the second floor, three bedrooms, a dry and wet separation bathroom, a toilet, five minutes walk from Yumoto Station, 711, lawson are very close, self-service check-in is super convenient, that is, the room is cold, the bedroom can be very warm, the bathroom is very cold, Next to the mountaineering line, you can see this homestay when you take the morning ride. In addition, the surrounding restaurants have a short business hours. If you can't arrive early, you can go to the supermarket to buy fast food. It is also delicious.
