Amazing
YyujunmjiangUpon check-in, as there weren't enough rooms available due to the holiday, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a park view room for free. The room came with an open balcony facing the park, offering fresh air. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The hotel is located in the heart of Nagoya, right next to a subway station. It's just one subway stop from Sakae, and three stops from both Nagoya Castle and Kanayama Station, making it incredibly convenient. From the hotel, you can easily walk to major shopping centers like PARCO, Mitsukoshi Department Store, and Alpen Outdoors, and there are many great restaurants nearby. This is definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Nagoya for sightseeing, shopping, or attending concerts.

AAnonymous UserPros: 1. Good location 2. Comfy bed for rooms with 2 beds (twin *2 set up) Cons: 1. Slow insufficient elevators to tansit from lobby at 24F to 7F or 1F (to get out of the building) 2. AC vent blows right in your face (pic 1) 3. Do not book their kind bed room as it is not an actual King bed. It is very misleading to sell king bed room when it's actually 2 beds pieced together with a thin mattress cover. (And the mattress cover is made to hide the twin bed from direct view) 4. Like others said, the sides are too small to quickly get out of the bed. Have to shuffle to the bottom of the bed to get out. Fell asleep in the middle of the bed, felt weird but was too tired and passed out. Woke up with sore back from the bed and sore drybthroat from the AC blasting in my face all night. Took a look and it seemed like a king bed (pic 2), but it felt weird so checked again and found that its not a real king bed, but 2 bed pieced together with mattress topper wrap to appear like a king bed. I felt cheated that I was sold a room with king bed but it was not a real king bed. I expected better attitude from a 4 star hotel especially it is a newer hotel and in Japan. This action is a violation of Meiyo (honor) and Shokunin (craftsman) ethics. Pic 4 & 5 & 6 helps explains it from a third party view (I wanted to make sure what I felt was not biased or due to personal preference, so I double checked with google AI for ”third person” perspective) In summary: Selling two bed pieced together as a King isn't just a ”hack”—it's a betrayal of the Wa (harmony) between the maker and the user.

DDaochuluanbendemiaoThe location right next to Kanayama Station is super convenient for getting around (I prefer it over Nagoya Station and Sakae). However, because of the single-pane windows, even on the 18th floor, you can still hear the train. Luckily, the noise level stays under 40 decibels, so it won't wake you up. There's also a shuttle bus nearby that goes to the Aeon Atsuta store. From the window, you can see an Aeon store, distant snow-capped mountains, and a little figure holding an umbrella on the roof of the building opposite. The twin beds can be pushed together, but there's a bunch of wires and equipment under the nightstand that prevents it from moving completely. This leaves a gap of about 20cm between the bed and the wall at the head, which is fine for a family of three to sleep comfortably. The mattress is a Simmons, and it's quite comfortable to sleep on, though the pillows are a bit too narrow. The bathroom looks a little older than it actually is, but it's perfectly functional.

GGuest UserA very satisfying stay. 1. The front desk staff were excellent, very quick and professional with the check-in process. 2. The breakfast selection was rich, though at certain times it could get a bit crowded and require a short wait, but this was a minor issue. 3. The room was spacious, clean, and offered great views of Nagoya city. This definitely deserves a big thumbs up. 4. There's a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is only 5 minutes away, which is incredibly convenient. Every aspect of my stay was great, so of course, I signed up for a membership.

QQingbaodejiaxiangThis was my second stay, and it was nowhere near as good as the first. During check-in, the front desk lady asked some inappropriate questions. (As a Japanese person, usually excellent at reading the room, her low emotional intelligence really surprised me. She asked my husband who he stayed with two years ago! I was stunned. My husband and I have been married for 7 years, and to ask such a sensitive question right in front of me? It's not appropriate, even if she meant it as a joke. Oh well, maybe she thought I didn't understand Japanese.) I'd heard that Japanese hotels like to put Chinese, Koreans, *********, etc., on the same floor, and this time it actually happened. Koreans to the left, ********* across the hall. I can usually ignore subtle discrimination, but when the people across the hall were checking out, they opened their door to pack their luggage (around 8 AM) and let their two kids run around the hallway, screaming. I couldn't take it anymore, so I opened my door. Oh, turns out the parents and hotel staff were all out there, just watching without saying anything. Fine, I'll do it myself. I yelled at them three times and stared them down until they left. The staff pretended not to notice the entire time. I'm too lazy to complain, and I won't be staying here again. That's that. (Because I didn't have any other plans for the day, I had intended to sleep in until check-out and just relax in the hot spring.) All the cleaning staff were from Southeast Asia (no discrimination intended, but the cleaning wasn't as thorough as it was two years ago, though still acceptable overall). The room facilities were the same as before. The bathroom needs renovating; the showerhead is terrible, and the toilet is also pretty bad. To be fair, the bedding is still excellent. At this price point, just stay at a Marriott, folks, trust me!

GGuest UserConsidering Tokyo's accommodation prices and standards, this place was an absolute steal! I wish I'd known; I would have taken a late Shinkansen and stayed an extra night, saving myself 500 yen. Pros: The price was right, and the decor was lovely. From what I saw, it seems to be considered a 4-star in Japan. The service was very warm; staff greeted you upon entering and leaving. There was a welcome gift, complimentary drinks and coffee, and a microwave for heating food. Plus, free access to the public bath – a shame I arrived late and was too tired to go. The interior had a nice, distinctive style, and there was an air purifier in the room. It's not far from Nagoya Station, and right next to the Meitetsu Department Store (main building, 9th floor), which houses several of Nagoya's characteristic old restaurants, though there might be a queue. Cons: It's a bit of a walk from Nagoya Station, a good 10 minutes that requires a bit of navigation. If you're coming from the airport, it's an extra 3-minute walk from Meitetsu Nagoya Station, but once you're familiar with the area, it feels quite close. Overall, highly recommended.

GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit dated overall, its location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, and the rooms are quite spacious. The service was very thoughtful; on our second stay, they had already opened the connecting door between our two rooms based on our preferences from our first visit and had placed our luggage, which we had stored at the hotel, into the room beforehand.

GGuest UserThe room is spacious and well equipped. It's a bit far from Nagoya station and not many buses around the hotel. It's a bit inconvenient. There's shuttle bus available in the morning on weekdays. Longer service time on weekends. Maybe the hotel is busy, the lounge staff wasn't too friendly. I have short hair but I found a long hair on my bed under the blanket. The bedsheet has some black colour fabric fibers but I wore light colour pajamas.

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying here. The room was larger than your average business hotel, perhaps due to its age. There's a bus stop right outside, so there should be a direct bus from the airport. It's also close to the station, and the location is fantastic. 👍 As soon as you step out of the hotel, you can find a variety of restaurants nearby or just a short walk to the underground shopping mall. I'll definitely stay here again next time if I can find a good deal. The only problem was that the room was a bit dark. 😅
