"Nice stay. We booked the triple bed room. Unfortunately, we arrived when there was a mega blackout in Portugal and there was no electricity nor water."

Amazing
GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at the Lumen Hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Check-in and out were all done in an efficient manner. The location of the hotel is ideal; it is close to the metro, bus stops and also it is easily walkable, as compared to the old city area which has very steep streets, to the downtown area (some 45 minutes for strolling). Also far above our expectations, we could easily find a number of eateries nearby. Every corner in the hotel is well-lit and clean. The room is spacious. The water pressure is very strong. Besides, the light shows which are on every night are spectacular and impressive. Would certainly recommend to any travellers who wish to have a memorable stay in Lisbon.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights for vacation, below are our experience and reviews. Cons: 1. Complimentary Water (only 2 during entire stay): • Complimentary water is only provided on the first day, but this was not communicated at check-in. • The vending machine water is overpriced (4.5x supermarket price). • Clear instructions at check-in would allow guests to plan ahead and buy water elsewhere. 2. Reception Service: • No guidance on how to call the front desk from the room, resulted in us going down to reception for assistance. • Unprofessional receptionist behavior: • A receptionist prioritized personal conversations with other guests over assisting me, even after noticing I needed help. • My query took less than a minute but was delayed unnecessarily, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. 3. Housekeeping Issue: • Despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping knocked repeatedly and did not respond when asked who was there. • The door lacked a peephole, which raised safety concerns as we couldn’t verify who was outside. 4. Taxi Drop-off: • The hotel’s entrance is on a ramp near a traffic light, making it difficult for taxi to stop directly in front of the door. • Guests with heavy luggage may find it inconvenient as taxis often park farther away. Some Pros: • Excellent location near a park with a charming Christmas market. • Safe area with plenty of nearby restaurants and supermarkets, making it very convenient. • Decent-sized rooms with ample space and a large desk for working. • Good breakfast options.

SSalopian125The Masa Hotel and Spa is in an excellent location and easily reached by the metro station about 10 minutes walk away. The room was exceptionally clean and the room had a mini bar, safe and was supplied with bath robes and disposable slippers. Also a litre bottle of water was a welcome addition. In regards to the breakfast. The first morning was perfect and the selection was very good. However the second morning I went earlier and it is best described as a chaotic mess. There was a large party of travellers who all descended the dining room at the same time and there was simply too many in at the same time. Maybe somone should have staggered the amount allowed in at once and allowed people to get their breakfast choice in a relaxed fashion rather than it resembling feeding time at the zoo! I stayed over the weekend the clocks went back and was reliably informed by reception staff that in Portugal the clocks went back on the Sunday night going into Monday which was proven to be completely inaccurate and could have caused problems for ongoing travel if they had been believed! It must be mentioned that the major disadvantage of this hotel is that it lies directly under the flight path of Lisbon Airport and from early morning there are plane after plane coming very frequently into land. Even with the windows closed it's still very noticeable. It's obviously not the hotels fault where it's situated, but if you want a peaceful stay then this hotel really isn't going to give you that. The spa and swimming pool I can not comment on as never used. Neither did I use the dining room for an evening meal. Despite the negative comments it is a lovely hotel simply spoiled by being under the flight path of the main airport.

AAlbi LisboaImportant Considerations for Travelers: - If you book a room with breakfast included and have an early flight on your departure day, consider purchasing breakfast separately. The hotel does not offer a refund for unused breakfasts, and in my case, they neither refunded nor provided any form of compensation. This policy, though minor for the hotel, can leave a negative impression, as a small gesture of goodwill would go a long way in enhancing guest satisfaction. - The hotel does not provide bathrobes, which may be inconvenient for guests accustomed to using them after a shower. - Nighttime temperatures can be quite low, so it is advisable to turn on the air conditioning in advance to ensure a comfortable sleep. - The rooms are compact, making this hotel a better fit for solo travelers rather than couples or families. - While it is rated as a four-star property, the breakfast selection is quite simple and limited. Guests can expect pastries, a small assortment of sliced meats and cheeses (1-2 types each), yogurt, toppings, scrambled eggs, ciabatta, a modest selection of sliced fruit, juice, and some alcoholic beverages. Hotel Perk: - Unlimited coffee is available in the lounge, which is a nice bonus for guests. - The hotel is situated in a district neighboring the city center, offering convenient access. Guests can reach the embankment and historic center within a short walk. - Upon my arrival on the first night of check-in, I received a welcome kit that included complimentary access to the in-room bar. I’ve attached a photo of the bar below for reference.

GGuest UserThis is a very cost-effective hotel in Lisbon. It is the best and most convenient choice for family travel. It has a refrigerator, an induction cooker, pots and pans, and even red wine glasses. This is really surprising. The decoration of the hotel is very high-quality, and every waiter is enthusiastic. A handsome guy at the front desk even shared the snacks he bought with us, which was really heartwarming! I stay here with my family every year.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not located in the city, but there is a subway station that takes ten minutes' walk to the old city. It is also very convenient because there is no taxi in the city to go to the airport. The breakfast in the hotel is very good, the variety is rich and the quality is good, and the service is particularly good. SANA is a local hotel chain in Portugal, and its quality and service are quite guaranteed. The hotel is located on the flight network where planes land and take off, but the soundproofing in the room is good, which is perfect if you want to watch and take pictures of planes.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel cause it a close location to many things around in Lisbon. While it is not a fancy hotel, it serves well for solo travellers and families. The room was very spacious and the AC worked well. The cleaning service came every day and left the room clean and fresh. Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was a usual hotel breakfast. You could pick from hot items such as scrambled eggs and meat products like beans and sausage or bacon. On one day they also had mushrooms. Then of course the bread variety and some pastry items such as croissant and muffins. Cheeses, yoghurt and fruits as well cereals were available. Eating breakfast at 10 AM usually filled us up for the day and we hardly ate lunch outside. The staff was friendly and when we requested an iron they provided that with no problem. The room had a small safe for valuables when we left for the day and plenty of storage space for the clothes and suit cases. The bathroom was very nice as well, lots of counter space and even a clothing line across the tub to hang some items to dry if you had to was a shirt or socks. The hotel is located across small soccer practice field so from our balcony we could watch people play some soccer games. Be advised the hotel is very close to the airport (about 10 min) so there was noise from planes but hardly noticeable. During our stay, 2 of the main elevators broke and were not usable but luckily we were on the second floor so taking the stairs was easy but they do have other elevators available. And for anyone not looking to leave the hotel for lunch or dinner, they provide plenty of dishes in their restaurant and bar area. But just a few steps around that area, you will find great places to eat such a Turkish restaurant with a 10 page menu I highly recommend to try.

MMarinaHotel a little dated but in an excellent position room assigned absolutely to be used as a single and not as a double had a column near the bed very dangerous at night if one gets up without turning on the light .... Equipped with everything with dated but clean uncomfortable furniture for two people. Maybe it was assigned to us because it was taken with an offer? Work in progress in the building opposite but did not disturb too much. Breakfast in the norm with good products, the only flaw is the American-only coffee ... Staff courteous even if detached.

GGuest UserThe location was good and the people at the reception were lovely. But, I would say those are really the only positives. First of all, I wouldn’t recommend booking though this site, as it claims to offer the option to pay on checkin, but charges you before. This happens because this website is a 3rd party, they book a room for you through Expedia. They will claim it’s just on hold - spoiler alert, it’s not. But I digress. Back to the hotel, the walls are paper thin, I had the pleasure to be awakened by my neighbours doing the devil’s tango as if they were in my room. The toilet also made weird noises non stop, like water filling in, it was quite annoying too. The cleaning ladies were lovely and really thorough with the cleaning and making sure everything is as clean as can be, however the infrastructure is so old that no matter how much cleaning is done, some things need to be changed (sink full of scratches, toilet full of scratches and with old rust stains in bottom, towels smelling funky sometimes, shower without a detachable handle, no place to put your shower gel, even though there were holes where some sort of holder should be). Long story short, the hotel really needs some renovation because it is called “suites” but feels a lot like my college dorm. Another rather shocking thing for me was that the shower gel/shampoo bottles were refilled, not swapped, which for me feels super unhygienic, specially since they were very tiny bottles (10-15ml). Also, not all outlets were functional, which is rather annoying in 2023. And last, but not least, 25€ per person for an airport transfer? Am I taking a limo? An Uber is 15€ tops in total. In summary, lovely service but the rooms need some TLC. I would book again if the price was as good as this time since the location is really great, but I wouldn’t splurge on it.

GGuest UserThe service was good and there was free breakfast with coffee, cereal, toast and cake. However, the first room we were in was extremely noisy since we were on the second floor and we could hear everyone coming in the middle of the night from parties.
