"What a wonderful 2 night stay at La Cour de Beaune. Véronique is a very friendly and attentive host, with an exceptional eye for detail. The room was beautifully presented and very clean & comfortable, with everything you would expect and more in bed & breakfast accommodation. Véronique has restored the property very sympathetically but also brought it into the 21st century with wonderful air conditioning and modern touches. The result is exceptional. The breakfast was first class with lovely fresh products and delicious home made jams. Having private, gated off road parking so close to the centre of Beaune was so convenient, in a beautiful garden. Situated on a quiet side street, it was perfect for exploring this beautiful town and the surrounding region. Véronique also helpfully supplied a detailed list of restaurants and local wineries before our stay, so that we could book ahead. This will definitely be our place of choice when we are next in this area. We highly recommend this property and are sure you would also be delighted if you booked a stay here, as we were."

"Parking: Free parking is available at the cinema near the hotel; simply search for "CINÉMA CGR Beaune". Location: Located in the old town, very close to attractions, a 15-minute walk. Several wineries are also nearby; guided tours can be booked online. Amenities: Guesthouse-style accommodation; only a very small bottle of shower gel and shampoo is provided, enough for only one day. No room cleaning; cleaning is available for an extra charge. Cooking is possible; cooking utensils are provided, but there is no dishwasher or washing machine. Trash needs to be disposed of downstairs. No elevator; you must climb stairs. The room includes a small bottle of soda and a bottle of mineral water. The owner will provide a bottle of spirits. However, water is not refillable; you must purchase your own drinking water."

"This is my fourth stay in Beaune and fourth visit to this hotel. I have always loved this place. I write a new review now because it is under new ownership now. It used to be run by the Fatien family. Now Estelle has bought it and the name is both “Chez les Fatien” but also “Clos de saint-marguerite” I was nervous because I thought maybe the hotel would change in a bad way, from its small hotel charm. But do not worry. It is as charming and her upgrades are only making it better. They now have 5 rooms, and all rooms have AC (which it did not have before!). Given the rising temperatures everywhere, having AC is good especially in some of the higher rooms. The lines are beautiful, the Nuxe items in each room are lovely French treat to your skin, and the breakfast remains outstanding. Estelle and her staff are wonderful. If you need too much attention, then this is not the place for you. It isn’t a hotel where there is someone there every second. As it has just 5 rooms, they are there for check in and check out, and breakfast, of course. But you have privacy most of the time which I really appreciate. The gorgeous courtyard has lovely bistro tables and we had bread and cheese there with wine, many evenings. They treat you like family. There is a honor bar in the dining room so you can take wine that you like and just write your name down so it will be on your bill when you leave. We got soaked in the rain one day biking and our clothes and shoes were absolutely dripping. They offered to throw our stuff in the dryer. That would not happen in big hotels! Also they helped us get our luggage to the train which was so kind. Beaune is my happy place, and in large part it is due to this sweet, romantic hotel. Estelle will continue to make it spectacular with her touch!"
