Our stay in the twin room with a window was absolutely fantastic! The high ceilings made the room feel incredibly spacious and airy, with no hint of claustrophobia. Being away from the street meant there was zero outside noise, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful environment for relaxation. The Land Rover mattresses were just right – not too soft, not too firm – providing a stable and comfortable sleep that truly enhanced our rest. The room was equipped with a fresh air system, keeping the air consistently clean, and the bedding was impeccably clean and crisp, feeling lovely to the touch. All the hotel facilities were immaculately maintained and looked brand new, really showing the owner's dedication. The staff were warm, attentive, and handled all our requests efficiently. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around; taking the subway or catching a taxi right outside saves so much time and effort. I highly recommend this place for your travels!

Five-star review! This stay was particularly heartwarming, and I especially want to commend Beibei at the front desk. Beibei checked us in on our first night in Beijing. She was warm and welcoming, and spoke so gently. Seeing that we had a child with us, she thoughtfully gave us a small electric fan, which was incredibly considerate given the hot Beijing weather. During our stay, she even proactively contacted us via WeChat, letting us know we could reach out to her anytime if we needed anything. On our departure day, we were delayed at the Summer Palace, and Beibei went above and beyond to help us get a late check-out, solving a real problem for us. Meeting such a kind and attentive staff member during our trip truly warmed our hearts. Beijing is a city worth visiting again and again, and next time we're here, we'll definitely choose Joy City Hotel again, and I hope we get to see Beibei! Highly recommended!

I had an early morning train to catch, so I specifically chose this hotel, and it was truly excellent. The station is right downstairs, which was super convenient with kids. The room was clean and comfortable too. Seriously, it was great! The front desk guy was really nice and arranged a room close to the elevator for us. I'll definitely be back next time, highly recommend!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, making getting around incredibly convenient. It's close to shopping malls and popular attractions, so you don't have to go far for shopping, dining, or sightseeing. Taxis are easily accessible right outside the entrance, and you can quickly get one to reach various destinations effortlessly. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the overall environment was quiet. The front desk service was warm and attentive, with Alina checking us in efficiently. Overall, the value for money is great. Staying here saves time and effort during your trip. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

This stay far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, every staff member greeted me with a genuine smile. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and thoughtful, and they proactively upgraded my room. The room itself was spacious and clean, with soft, comfortable bedding and an excellent view from the window. What was even more delightful was the turndown service, which included a warm, evening drink – truly exceptional attention to detail. Breakfast was plentiful, offering both local specialties and Western pastries. Whether it was the location, facilities, or service, everything was impeccable. The next time I visit this city, this will definitely remain my first choice, and I'll be recommending it to my friends.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's very convenient to take a taxi to Houhai, the Forbidden City, and Tiananmen Square. The service was absolutely fantastic; the cleaning staff did a very thorough job, and they provided plenty of bottled water. There are three subway stations nearby, and it's only about a 5-minute bike ride on a shared bike. Overall, I'm very satisfied! I forgot to take pictures.

Overall, a great experience. I really wanted to stay in a *siheyuan* (quadrangle courtyard house), but many were either too expensive or the cheaper ones looked a bit shabby. This place hit the sweet spot in terms of price and quality. When I booked, I checked the map and thought it was far from the subway, but it's actually only a 2-minute walk to Xisi subway station. Getting to places like Yuanmingyuan and the train station was super convenient as they're direct subway lines. The *siheyuan* itself is small, but it's perfect for experiencing the traditional style. The breakfast spread was also modest, but it had all the essentials. The mattress firmness was just right. I'm not used to thick duvets, and the owner even provided a summer quilt. It wasn't until our second day that we discovered Zhengyang Bookstore nearby, which has a famous cat. We even went to pet the cat and take some photos! All in all, a really good stay!

Review from a non-chinese tourist. Pros: location, low to almost none level of noise, cleanliness. Cons: no one can assist you in english, breakfast (if you’re not chinese or adapted to local food). It’s right next to Beijing West Railway station, so multiple malls, shops, cafes etc available. When I was checking in I was given key to a wrong room - someone else was already staying there. I understand mistakes happen but after 20 hrs of travel it’s hard. The biggest dissapointment was the breakfast: it said that it’s buffet with chinese and western food. In reality almost no food that you would normally eat for breakfast, lots of chinese food (I wouldn’t have problem with it if it wasn’t so greasy - it’s just not the best for starting your day). Overall - good for the price and location.

🚗 Transportation & Surroundings: The Beijing Capital Hotel is in a fantastic location. The Lianhua Bridge subway station (Exit B) is right downstairs, and it's very close to Beijing West Railway Station, the Military Museum, Yuyuantan Park, and the Central Radio & TV Tower. Getting around is super convenient, and taking a stroll around the area after a day of sightseeing is highly recommended. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, such as Pianyifang and Yangfang Dadu Shuanrou, just a few steps from the hotel. 🏠 Facilities: The hotel boasts functional banquet halls, meeting rooms, a gym, and a swimming pool. On the first floor, there's a tea house and a coffee shop, and the hotel also has its own Korean restaurant (I didn't pay much attention to the others). The facilities are comprehensive, and the guest experience is excellent (it's a shame I didn't get to try the hotel breakfast due to a tight schedule). In the comfortable twin room, the bathtub and shower are combined (the experience wasn't ideal), but the bedding was incredibly comfortable, leading to excellent sleep quality. Hot water comes out of the tap within three seconds, and the room decor is cozy, though the windows in the room were a bit dark... 👨🍼 Service: The service attitude of all the hotel staff is truly commendable, meeting five-star hotel standards. The front desk staff remembered all guest requests and responded and fulfilled them promptly and thoroughly. Since I arrived early and my room wasn't ready, I was directed to another room to rest first. The housekeeping staff responded and cleaned exceptionally quickly, paying attention to details and being very enthusiastic. ⛰️ Environment: The hotel's decor is luxurious, but it feels a bit dated now. The exterior of the building looks a bit old, but overall, it's good.
