"We had a great stay in this hotel. A lovely welcome from Tiago and Miguel. The room was very comfortable. The roof top swimming pool is wonderful with views over Beja and surrounding areas. We didn't eat at the hotel. There are several local restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The one disappointment was the charge for the parking which was not made clear when I booked."

"This pousada has good and bad points. Extremely difficult to find when we arrived at night. Few signs, and the town pretty much deserted. Having got there, liked the secure parking. The building is amazing, the pool area very good. Now the bad - our shower tricked water, the grab rail was falling off the wall. Asked for that to be sorted, the shower was. We like to play card type games in the evening after dinner but where - there was a card table in what should have been a bar but isn’t, and the room was being painted, so we tried the table in the cloister, too dark, we tried an empty table in the dining room but Miss Grumpy said no, we tried using the sofas in the unused cavernous area you walk through as you go from car park to reception but that hurt my back. The card table came back in use later in the week. It was hot, I went to the dining room to order drinks. Miss Grumpy on again - we do not deliver to the card room so I waited and took them myself. Pool has some service and most of the time someone does appear from time to time unless Miss Grumpy is on when you have to hunt for her inside the dining room. Apart from breakfast and afternoon at the pool you never see a soul either staff or guests. They have kept staff to a minimum which means centring everything on the dining room. Our rooms were not serviced until late afternoon which is really too late. Though the breakfast was ok it did not meet the breakfast we had at the Viana pousada. Central location is good. The bedrooms felt what they are - nuns cells. I would not return here"

"It's a nice hotel with a great choice of breakfast items. Lovely spacious room with a balcony. Comfortable bed and linen. This hotel is about a 15-minute walk into the centre. The hotel is situated on a roundabout, so expect some road noise. It had a bar area which was nice."

"Nice rooms, bed was quite comfortable, very clean including the bathroom. The room was a good size with a little fridge in it. The breakfast was great with a good selection including hot food. It's located in a very yet area with a couple of cafes and a restaurant opposite. It is a long walk to the historic centre, 25 mins or so. The only downside is you have to slam the door shut when you leave the room there was no way to do this quietly as the handle didn't move. "

"Fantastic place, literally in the middle of the Alentejo mountains. Access via a rural road increases the anticipation and curiosity of what you will actually find. Great for relaxing and spending quality time with family. Giovana is an excellent hostess and prepared a very good breakfast with regional products."

"My Husband and I just stayed here for 16 days, and I must say this place is awesome! Paulo and his staff were very gracious and attentive. The breakfasts were amazing a lot of food to start our day. I would highly recommend this place to stay while in Beja. We plan on visiting again next year."

"BELA STORY A NECESSITAR DE PAIXÃO. A ideia do espaço é muito feliz com uma receção impactante e muito calorosa. No entanto, aqui e ali, a ausência de paixão na gestão da casa, de que são exemplo no nosso quarto , a presença de humidade na casa de banho e cheiro, a fechadura da porta sem armação ou as floreiras das belas janelas sem flores e os descuidos dos pombos… Um pouco mais de paixão e esta estória teria um final muito mais feliz."

"The staff were very helpful; we asked them for help because we didn't know how to use the equipment, and they gave us a hands-on demonstration, which put our minds at ease. The location is a bit far from the old town. It's a relatively inexpensive place to stay while traveling. Its advantage is that it's very close to the bus station."
