A perfect hotel. Very clean, sufficient carpark. Everything looks new and I particularly like the wood floor. Buffet dinner has a lot of food choices and the breakfast is very good too. See view room and the room is very big. Highly recommended and will come to stay again.

Very clean and friendly staff

The dinner was terrible. The worse dinner we have ever been served by any of the many ryokans I have been to in Japan. They served ½ kaiseki set and a buffet. The ½kaiseki set is pathetic. Very poor quality and very small quantity. It is shameful to call it kaiseki. The snow crabs in the buffet is unfit for human consumption. The breakfast was good and the rooms are big. But it cannot make up for the poor standard of the dinner and the high price of the room. Last. The yukata is of the poorest quality I have ever cone across.

The window view is excellent, ocean view. When bathing in the hot spring, it has the same great sea view. However, the air conditioner seems not cold enough. And it is not allowed to extend the check out time even I am willing to pay the extension fee.

All the hotel rooms face Beppu Bay (sea), and the rooms are extra large, 36 square meters (usable area). You need to change into slippers when entering the hotel, which is very clean. I stayed for two days and was lucky enough to take pictures of the sunrise, which was quite shocking. I ordered a set meal with breakfast and dinner. The breakfast category is complete, and dinner has optional meals in addition to designated meals. The hotel is about 1,000 yen by taxi from "Beppu Station", and there is also a bus stop to reach it. There are also buses to the "Eight Great Hells" scenic area. The scenic area closes on time at 5 pm. It takes about five hours to take pictures and videos slowly through these "hells". We arranged another day and took a bus (1 hour) to the Yufuin Town and Kinrin Lake that we had been thinking about. Staying at Beppu Rex Hotel is a cost-effective choice. The staff communicated with us patiently and carefully. Thank you! I hope to recommend this to all my friends!

The rooftop infinity hot spring pool is a plus. It is very comfortable to look at the lights in the distance at night. The bedding is comfortable, the room is clean, and each room has a balcony facing the sea. The breakfast variety is not very large, and the coffee is not good.

Traveling with family. Stayed for two nights in a row and was very satisfied with both the environment and the service. Incomparable sea view. When entering the lobby, you drag your shoes and put them in the shoe cabinet, so the entire hotel including the room is very clean and tidy. There is a beach and the endless sea at the door. I also saw a beautiful sunset in the morning🌇 The hot spring is also open-air and faces the sea, which is very romantic! Worth a stay!
