"The hotel's location is excellent; the window offers a view of a highway roundabout sculpture and the park opposite. It's a 15-minute walk to the castle, and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making life convenient. The room was spacious, and there was a large balcony, but I didn't even have time to sit down and enjoy the street view. The room service wasn't as professional or attentive as some hotels in China; the coffee machine on the windowsill was apparently not seen, as they forgot to refill the coffee and provide complimentary water. The breakfast was quite substantial, with meat, eggs, dairy, fruit, and yogurt all included. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the driver they called was professional and in good condition. Ponferrada Castle is definitely worth a visit!"

"Pretty good route to the Hotel, but you can see the extensive damage caused by wild fires. Heart breaking scenes of burnt Chestnut Trees, no Bee Hives and closed business. Tourist Centre burnt to the ground. The Hotel was feet away from being burnt too. Easy to find and QR check in. Very low key place, more a Camino Restaurant with rooms. Chatted to a friendly Dutch Guy who was on one of his many Camino. Nice cold beer. Simple breakfast. I'm glad I stayed."

"Careful officials, the reservation I made for Trip.com did not appear in the hotel system, they told me that it is not usually happening and they made another reservation for us, luck is that they had many rooms available. The only point of openness is that the window of the room should have a persian because the sun comes in the morning by the sides of the garden."

"We stayed here while walking the Camino. Right on the path, beautiful hotel, gorgeous clean rooms, high end showers with hot water which were one of the best in terms of pressure and heat, the breakfast was to die for with homemade cakes, breads, jams, butters, honey, ham, and cheeses, and the black tea--Superb! The biggest compliment goes to Ana, the breakfast staff person (who also cleans rooms) who would go out of her way to help anyone. She was so cheery, so helpful and so kind. The other breakfast person was also wonderful as was the Ana, at the front desk. The only thing I would recommend is for such a high end shower, perhaps you should put in a soap dispense instead of giving one tiny bar of soap. But that does not take away from the 5 stars!"

"What a lovely gem of a hotel, we stayed one night while travelling along the Camino. The village of Cacabelos is a lively little place due to all the walkers. The hotel has a great bar/restaurants and gardens, the dinner and drinks were really good quality and not expensive. Plenty of locals in the hotel eating and drinking which is always a good sign. Hopefully will visit and stay again."

"I can't say enough good things about this accommodation. You feel right at home; both Jorge and his son and wife are excellent hosts. Jorge recommends routes and provides verbal and written information. The cleanliness is impeccable, the common areas are very pleasant, the dinner is exceptional, and the breakfast is good. There's nothing wrong with this place. Highly recommended. We'll definitely return."
