"Very clean and tidy unit. Hosts very helpful and hospitable. Unit was well equipped but maybe getting a bit dated. (It is some time since I stayed in a unit with a shower curtain clinging to my legs while showering.) Good location for exploring the local area although quite a bit out from the town. Would happly stay again."

"We stayed in a family room on the ground floor. It was clean and spacious. The hot water was plentiful, the bed was super comfy and the wifi actually worked! Yes it's an older motel with vintage vibes but that just added a bit of charm to the experience. If you want cookie-cutter generic accommodation, this is not for you. But if you like a bit of quirky character Bing's will deliver."

"After an easy check-in. I went to my small room out back under the stairs, near the pool. At first it felt a bit poky, but once I looked around I saw it was clean, well appointed, with everything that I required. There was a microwave with tea and coffee condiments, as well as a small fridge. Cutlery, glass ware and plates were also available, all of which came in handy for the meal I warmed up. Parking was tight when all the guests were in, but it seemed to work out. Kids were enjoying the pool which would be refreshing after a long day on the road. Accomodation was in close proximity of many Blenheim facilities and supermarkets. Not a bad option for short stay accomodation"

"Very outdated motel for the price to stay per night. First impression was clean. But only had towels replaced each day, no cleaning in room. Bed not even made or changed. Was cold, but heaters old and noisy, so could not leave on over night. "

Blenheim Palms Motel

"To add to the review regarding no refund for cancellation as one of the group affected it should be pointed out that the rate was double that advertised as normal ($800pn instead of $400) which we accepted as it was a holiday booking even though double is pretty steep. Unfortunately we were 2 days too late to cancel. Therefore a partial refund or credit for a future trip would have been appropriate, not the aggressive tirade delivered by the owner. I have seen the original request and it was perfectly polite. We do travel a lot, have never been called “entitled”, and have always received friendly considerate treatment."
