Shenyang Hotels with Breakfast

Staying in Shenyang for a few days, I chose the Northeast Asia Hotel, and it left a very good impression on me. The overall decor is simple yet grand, and the public areas are kept neat and organized. The guest rooms are well-maintained, with all facilities functioning properly and no signs of aging or malfunction. The bathroom has a wet and dry separation, keeping the floor dry, and the cleaning was very thorough. The bedding was clean and comfortable, allowing for a full rest after a long day. The hotel's location is excellent, convenient for both city sightseeing and business commutes. The staff were patient and communicative when issues arose, providing a pleasant service experience. With all sorts of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, life here is incredibly convenient. This hotel is highly recommended whether you're traveling for leisure or staying temporarily for business.

The hotel rooms are spotless, and the hygiene inspection was incredibly thorough. The entertainment facilities, especially the swimming pool, are beautiful. The meals are delicious, and the staff are all very friendly. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM, which is a really long and convenient window. The hotel's location is excellent for transportation, very close to the subway station – just a few minutes' walk. There are also several parking lots available at the hotel, which is a great plus. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, right downstairs is Toutiao Hutong Food Street. It's close to Metro Line 1, making it super convenient to get to the Forbidden City and Zhangshi Shuai Mansion. The 5th-floor terrace offers a distant view of the Forbidden City and overlooks Middle Street. If you're driving, contact the hotel in advance for free parking. The room is clean and tidy, with a smart toilet and a separate wet/dry bathroom. There's even a robot for delivery service. The front desk staff are warm and attentive. A must-choose for any traveler!

The hotel's location is super convenient; you can see it right from North Station and even access it directly via an underground passage. Subway Lines 2 and 4 are right downstairs, making transportation a breeze. Taxis can also drop you off directly at the hotel entrance. Breakfast is available, though the variety is pretty standard. They also offered a complimentary business lunch or dinner, which had limited options, but it was enough to fill you up. The room looked exactly like the pictures, but the cleanliness details weren't great and definitely need improvement.

The hotel is about a 35-minute taxi ride from Taoxian Airport, which is quite fast. It's next to Hang Lung Plaza on Youth Street, and People's Square Metro Line 2 is nearby. Xita Food Street and the Palace Museum are both within 5 kilometers by taxi. The doormen provide excellent service, actively helping with luggage and escorting us to our rooms. They even open the car doors for us every time we take a taxi – thumbs up! The elevators to the 88th-floor lobby are very fast. After reading reviews, I requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel patiently helped me check each room for smoke odor, which was a very good service – thumbs up to the front desk staff! We requested a twin room, and both beds were large and soft, which the kids loved. Noticing we drank a lot of water, the housekeeping auntie proactively provided extra bottled water and tea bags the next day without us even asking. Very thoughtful. I must praise the hotel's breakfast buffet! The beef noodles were so delicious; I ate them all three days of my stay. The Hongcheng pies were also super tasty 😋. Just writing this review brings back the delicious memories. Special thanks again to Elena and Clara for their service. Because of their and other hotel staff's service, we want to stay at Conrad again! A wonderful memory, and I hope the hotel continues to thrive!

I chose this hotel when I was getting my visa in Shenyang because I thought the Grand Hyatt was too expensive. To my surprise, it exceeded all expectations – it was incredibly clean! The carpets, bedding, and bathroom had no strange smells, and there were no artificial fragrances, which I absolutely loved! I even got a free upgrade to a suite. The hotel staff helped me with my luggage to the room. Across the street from the hotel, there's a lake where you can stroll around, and a metro station, making it super convenient to get out and about without worrying about traffic. The lemonade dispenser opposite the front desk on the first floor always has ice-cold lemonade. Honestly, besides the breakfast not being particularly varied, there are really no downsides!

The breakfast selection was plentiful, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the taste was quite good. It would be even better if there were some local specialty snacks available, allowing us to enjoy authentic flavors right at the hotel, which would help us retain guests.

The hotel's online advertising built up too much anticipation, leading to a significant gap between expectation and reality. I arrived at 10:30 PM, and the lobby was completely dark. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the shower drainage was poor; water flowed from the shower enclosure directly into the toilet area. Since it was late and I was only staying one night, I didn't bother calling for service. The vanity area was also uncomfortably close to the bed with no privacy screen. As for the hot spring area, the water activities were fun and my child enjoyed them. However, the scrubbing area and lounge were very mediocre. If you're looking for a good scrubbing experience, I'd advise against it. There wasn't even any water available to drink in the scrubbing area. I finally found some hot water in the main hall, but the air conditioning wasn't sufficient, so I was constantly sweating. Free drinking water wasn't readily available everywhere. The dinner voucher from Ctrip was useless since I arrived so late. When I asked if I could use it the next day, I was told no, it was only valid for the same day – what's the point of giving it then? Overall, the indoor areas felt dim and disorganized, while the outdoor areas were clean, tidy, and interesting.

The location was excellent, being right beside the Financial Centre metro station and in walking distance to the ShenYang North railway station. It is also easy to walk to the one of the biggest morning markets if you just follow the GaoDe Map. I also walked to the nearest museum as the roads are easy to walk. Highly recommend this place for the location and the affordable room rate. There are a lot of restaurants, mini-marts, fruit shops right below the house. There’s also a mall within walking distance. There’s even a small gym nearby if you really can’t do without gym. There are 3 halal restaurants within 5min walk distance from the apartment. The room I got was spacious and well designed in my opinion. The pillars are made into a full body mirror which came as a surprise to me. The room got all that I needed for my week-long stay. The Internet wasn’t stable enough for video calls. Bring some ear plugs cos the quality of the walls are really thin. Service from the owner was professional and really prompt. This is critical in this line of business. This owner’s apartments appear to be much more in demand. (I gave up on another apartment by another owner and came here instead. The other owner in another block was a complete disappointment. That’s why I was happy to have found such a professional owner.) Overall, can’t ask for more with this apartment at this rate. Definitely beyond my expectation. 👍

The Imperial Palace and Marshal Zhang's Mansion are within walking distance, and it's situated right on Middle Street Pedestrian Street. Transportation is convenient. Downstairs, Wang Houyuan Dumplings are delicious, and the Qianlima BBQ across the street is also highly recommended; you should try their chicken racks too. It's incredibly convenient for getting around and dining. However, I wouldn't recommend the Xiaohuyan Morning Market or the Caitadian Night Market nearby; they're overpriced, the food is mediocre, very commercialized, and rarely frequented by locals. **Good Sleep Experience:** The soundproofing in the rooms is quite good, and the bedding is clean and comfortable, ensuring a high-quality rest. **Prompt Service Response:** When issues like a clogged floor drain arose, the hotel manager was patient and resolved them promptly. On the morning of the 24th, while dining at the buffet restaurant, I noticed obvious stains on the edge of a plate (as shown in the picture). A male waiter saw it and reacted quickly, immediately taking the plate away. His actions were timely and appropriate, which is commendable. He immediately informed a female waitress on site about the issue. However, it was disappointing that the female waitress responded, 'So many people eat at the buffet every day; it's impossible to check every plate.' Now for the negatives: **Severely Outdated Hardware:** The room furnishings are old-fashioned and stained, the clothes hanger was broken, and the room door sagged, making it difficult to open and close. The carpet had large areas of old stains, which looked quite bad. After I reported this to Ctrip, the platform was very helpful in coordinating a solution. The hotel manager was patient and proactively offered a room upgrade. Ultimately, we declined the upgrade and opted for free breakfast instead, but the hotel's attitude towards resolving the issue is commendable. (Although, when communicating with the manager, I overheard a female waitress next to her quietly questioning if I was 'looking for trouble,' which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I was simply providing honest feedback.) **Poor Attention to Hygiene Details:** The floor drain in the shower was clogged, leading to standing water. Also, as mentioned, there were obvious stains on a plate during breakfast on the 24th. **Management Awareness Needs Improvement:** Regarding the cutlery hygiene issue, the on-site female waitress explained it away by saying 'there are too many people to check individually.' This reveals a lack of standardized procedures and treats an objective difficulty as an excuse for a management oversight. Finally, I'd like to say that while this stay wasn't perfect, Ramada, as an established four-star hotel, generally has good service and staff quality. However, it definitely needs some reforms. The hotel occupies an excellent location, but the current hardware completely fails to live up to its 'four-star' rating and 'prime location' value. I recommend considering phased renovations (for example, renovating one floor at a time and then progressing through the others). Although this would result in a short-term loss of revenue, in the long run, improving the hardware to recover ratings and reputation would yield a far greater return than simply 'resting on its laurels' as it is now.
