Discovery Parks - Bright
"It was a great place to live for the second time, especially since they booked us in the same cottage we stayed in two years ago. Thanks"
Hara House
"It was good, nice amenities but restricted service. Reception open just a few hours."
Discovery Parks - Mount Buffalo
"Very clean, complete facilities, small space, but reasonable layout, still a good choice"
Bright Velo
"This is going to sound trite but when I say I have delayed this review because I was determined to get it right, I am telling the truth. I didn’t want to slap together a few words of encouragement and leave it at that… I want to convey to you just how wonderful this place is. The first thing that strikes you about the Velo Bright is how much it seems to offer in such a small area. Renovated and expanded this place is warm, stylish and inviting. We were given a code (ala AirBnB style) and this gave us 24 hour access to the building and our room. Nice and easy. Our first room (more on that later) was small but functional, warm and very stylish. But it was the bathroom and shower that blew us away and you will be no different. No picture will do this shower justice and it is very clear that a lot of care and attention has been poured into the design and finish of this boudoir. Flourishes like tiles that extend up the wall and over your head, clearly not necessary, make it obvious that this was designed to be enjoyed and as well as be functional. We made our way to the bar and was struck by how warm and cosy it was what with its use of wood and exposed beams. The beautiful open fire and plush furnishings also helped us enjoy a beer that was, after a long drive, essential. It was then we were approach by the manager who, seemingly for no reason, offered to upgrade our room simply because we were the only guests that night. This second room was much larger with a living area as well as bedroom but an even bigger version of the incredible shower from the previous room. This room went onto enhance an already wonderful experience. Dinner at the restaurant was very since and the staff friendly and accomodating. But it was when we went to leave that the bar manager struck up a conversation that lead him to open the whisky bar - just for us - so we could enjoy a whiskey in private. The staff at the Velo are friendly and make you feel at home and while it could be argued this is what they are supposed to do, it is their flexibility and imagination that make this a very special place. They go outside the square to give you the best possible stay whether that be for one night or ten. I would happily drive to Bright just to stay there again… it really was that special. "
Bright on Track
"Bright on Track was perfect for my trip. The room was very spacious and clean and it was very quiet ."
Big4 Tasman Holiday Parks - Bright
"I’ve stayed here twice already when I went skiing with my friends, and every time it truly feels like a home away from home. The place is incredibly comfortable and convenient — everything you need is right there. It’s definitely one of the best accommodations I’ve chosen when visiting Bright. I’ll always come back here whenever I get the chance!"
Bright Riverside Holiday Park
"We love staying here. The team are friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well maintained. The amenities have just gotten better and better over the years. No matter what time of year, it's welcoming and enjoyable to stay here. A short 5 minute walk to town, big and updated camp kitchen with everything you need and plenty of river access for a splash. We've not had problems with getting a fire pit but in peak times it might be a little tricky. There's no kids playground but you don't need one when there is a big local park a 5min walk away. We stayed in a superior cabin this time, however we have stayed in the river front cabins (which were a little outdated last time we stayed, but they may have changed or may be on the cards to be updated) as well as powered sites. Never disappointed. Be respectful of the caravan park, the town and the QUIET, slower paced living that the alpine region has to offer. "
Barrass's John Bright Motor Inn
"The hotel has a great location, which makes it convenient for getting around, but unfortunately the service didn’t match the setting. There was no housekeeping during our stay- room wasn’t cleaned for three days—which was quite disappointing. Overall, while the location is a strong advantage, the service really needs improvement to make the most of it."
Alpine Riverside Cottages
"This property has pretty views of the river, great for frolicking in on a hot day or just cooling ones feet after a days hiking. The hosts are very friendly and are so very helpful and go above and beyond what one would expect. The rooms are fully equipped with full kitchen, ensuite and comfortable beds. There is also an undercover BBQ area and lots of grass to picnic on by the river if you prefer. Take a leisurely drive to Mt. Buffalo, Harrietville or Bright. Stroll around the shops or take walks by the river. There are plenty of places to hike if you want something more strenuous but there is your cottage waiting at the end of the day to relax in and absorb the serenity of the evening. If you don't feel like cooking, drive a short distance to the Porepunkah pub which serves a variety of yummy meals. We arrived at Alpine Park River Cottages as strangers and left as friends."

Tawonga Tourist Park
"Not a big fan of caravan parks (too crowded, not enough trees and nature and too often grumpy managers) but this one exceeded all expectations. Such a beautiful tranquil place, spacious, clean and very very friendly staff. Thank you!"
Hotham Mountain Escape - Chalet Hotham Apartment 14
Cherry Lane Apartments
Arlberg Hotham
Westwood Lodge
"We love the quiet tranquil location nestled next to the creek among beautiful flora & fauna. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The quietness all along but especially at night ensures relaxation & great sleep. Service is great, nothing seems to be a problem & the owner makes you feel very welcome. We can’t wait for our next visit."
Goldfield Holiday Units
"My mother and I really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were super friendly and accomodating. It was a nice little apartment near the city centre and has the river directly behind it which was lovely. The apartment itself was equipped with everything you need. I would definitely stay here again."
The Odd Frog
"Just what the doctor ordered! What a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing place. Great spot to tune out from the real world. Waking up to the most incredible view, being greeted by the local magpies, parrots and kookaburras was amazing. One or two were happy to come inside when the door was open. Kylie and James were quick to answer any questions and provided us with a great itinerary for the few days we were there. So close to town but you wouldn’t know it, it was just so peaceful. A truly wonderful stay. Can’t wait to go back. - Tanya & Andrew"
Bright Mystic Valley
"We booked Unit 1 for 5 nights but stayed for 11 because we both tested positive for COVID whilst we were there. Ros and Brendan were able to rearrange another booking and allowed us to stay for the additional days and even gave us a discount for the extra days. We were so grateful for their generosity, their advice about local medical care, and how they even offered to do shopping for us. Their support while we were isolating and so far from home was outstanding. We were also so thankful that we could stay in such lovely accommodation whilst isolating rather than being stuck in a hotel room. From our unit we could go outside and walk around part of the large, peaceful gardens without having to worry about infecting anybody. The facilities were superb, very clean and warm in mid winter. We ate in all the time and the kitchen had all the necessary items to do this and the full sized fridge came in handy for all the food we needed to store. We enjoyed watching the resident kookaburras, the king parrots, the fairy wrens and other birds that lived in the garden. We also were grateful that the place had access to Netflix! Thank you so much Ros and Brendan for your care and assistance during our extended stay. Mark and Veronica"
Club Wyndham Dinner Plain, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
"From check in through to check out, our week at Club Wyndham Dinner Plain exceeded expectations. We were provided with information on resort activities, walks to do within and outside the village, and towns/sights to explore. Our chalet was clean, tidy, well appointed and in the perfect spot to see the alpine country during the Summertime. Resort staff were friendly and accommodating of any requests we had - and a special mention to Emily N, who assisted us with emergency toothbrushes and toothpaste! Elements Restaurant was exceptional, once again with warm and hospitable service from Emily N, something you don't often experience these days. For lovers of nature, this region is a must visit! Snowgums, wildflowers, birdlife, brumbies and an array of other wildlife were a joy to see, either from our accommodation windows or when we were out and about. We never tired of watching the clouds roll by, the ever changing weather and the sunrises and sunsets - it was like something out of a Bob Ross painting. Can't wait to visit again!"
Porepunkah Pines Holiday Park
"Arrived at the Park and was greeted by Narelle one of the Managers. Was very professional , helpful and had a great sense of humour. Felt very welcomed, Narelle would stop and say hello also made sure all was ok with accommodation etc. Gave us great info about the area to what we could go and do or eat. Loved the lawns that were kept nice down near the creek, camp kitchen was great too. Walking track into porepunkah to the eateries etc. Have booked again! Would definitely recommend this caravan park!!! Greg and Angelina Huddle Deniliquin NSW"
Chestnut Tree Holiday Units
"My husband and I along with my two teenage boys and my mother and father in law decided to have a long week to Bright seeing we had never been there before. We chose to stay at Chestnut tree holiday apartments. Rod was very friendly and polite and nothing was too difficult for him. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and stocked. There was a nice tennis court that the boys used and a clean bbq area. If you go in the chestnut season you can pick the chestnuts off the three huge trees on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chestnut tree holiday apartments and if ever we go back to Bright we will definitely be staying there again."
Harrietville Hotel Motel
"Room was a touch dusty bathroom smelt abit It’s nice that it’s at a pub so it’s easy to get dinner. Perfect to get to Hotham"
Motel Sierra - Bright
"The room appeared bigger online, there’s not even a proper sink to wash cups, cutlery ect. The water temperature changes while you’re showering and you don’t even get proper toilet paper. The iron was broken and spat boiling hot water everywhere nearly burning me. I woke up one morning and the power was out until 1pm that afternoon, no one made me aware this was happening. And to top it all off there were gnats everywhere. Very disappointing definitely would not stay again."
Kiewa Country Cottages
"The forest cabin completely exceeded expectations, with clean and tidy indoor hygiene, complete kitchen utensils, beautiful forest trees, clear flowing streams, and attentive and thoughtful landlords. In short, it was a perfect vacation experience, wonderful. Got it!"
The Harrietville Snowline Hotel
"Beautiful large deck catering for a lot of people. We had a very large group with dogs & it suited the group. Was very hot in the sun till it went down behind the mountain, some of our group had to move tables. The food was very small serves ( whole group) and was expensive for what it was. I had the beef cheese burger & there was more chips than burger. For $27 I didn't expect to come away still hungry. Others had the steak which was $41 and also left hungry. Haven't been for 2 years but was very disappointed."
