It is much better than the Crown Garden in another city where we stayed a few days ago. I guess it is mainly because of the newness. . If the breakfast is not good, there are many places to eat nearby so you don’t need to order. This city is the capital of Lower Normandy and is quite beautiful. We stayed here for two nights, taking bus 12 to the Normandy landing beaches and taking the train to the Abbey of Saint-Michel."

"My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France."

It's in a renovated 17th and 18th century building. Each of our rooms was very large (bedroom, bathroom, and a closet / dressing room), impeccably clean, quiet, and comfortable. The rooms face a beautiful courtyard instead of the street. Wi-Fi was very good. There's ample paid parking nearby (free overnight and on Sunday). The included breakfast spread was terrific, including locally grown pears and local cheese, meats, and more. I'd love to stay here again! Caen is a wonderful city to visit in its own right and is also an excellent base for Bayeux and the D-Day beaches."

Dozens of fabulous restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and shopping nearby. Walking distance to all of the sites!"
