"Generally speaking, the hotel is OK and we had a pleasant stay with the family despite some negative points to take into account. •In the bedroom ; Comfortable bed but sofa bed is not suitable for adults but more for children because it is not comfortable enough. The Nuxe products in the bathroom are very appreciable, however redoing dirty joints and more thorough cleaning. Be careful, adjoining rooms are not soundproofed at all, you can hear everything from your neighbor, so ask to change; reception will do what is necessary. •Very good breakfast and excellent juice. •Pleasant swimming pools but very few “mattress” deckchairs, towels available at reception… jacuzzi under “renovation” nothing changed during our one-week stay and dangerously placed for young children… •On the other hand BIG BIG downside of the hotel: SECURITY WHICH IS NON-EXISTENT! The hotel's jewelry store, present from time to time in the lobby, was robbed in the middle of the day, creating a panic among the guests and especially among the children who were very scared! Imagine the scene! Zero checks, zero security agents to check the identity of people entering the hotel so anyone can enter by car and/or on foot like a mill! The reception manager (0/10) has absolutely nothing to do with it, zero “symbolic” commercial gestures (in fact the hotel does not make its living from tourism but from cabin crew and people on business trips because very few tourists and is the only hotel in this range) but as a substitute we tell you: "this was beyond our control" and yet YES you are entirely responsible for what happened and which could have been avoided, because when we have an 18ct jewelry store in our hotel, we take all the necessary and logical measures for the safety of customers and staff, something which was not done and which gave the opportunity to a malicious person to take advantage of this flaw to get in with ease! We also tell you that there is a security agent lurking around... obviously, he must be "invisible" because we have never seen him, neither at the entrance to the car gate nor at the entrance to the hotel ! •Nevertheless, I would like to make a special mention to Francis at reception, for his very warm and pleasant welcome, always keen to ensure that the customer is satisfied and that is really very appreciable, thank you Francis."

"I was staying at another place, but it did not have a full time reception desk, and so that made it tough, as FG is a place where you need as much assistance as you can get, especially if you are an English speaking tourist with close to no French speaking abilities. Even the main tourist office does not have English speaking staff. But walking around I came across this clean, stylish and centrally located hotel that was a god send as they have front desk staff who can speak English. Unfortunately the hotel seems to cater to a business crowd and so their tourist related assistance was limited, but they did help as best they could, including helping me to get share taxi back to the Suriname border :) As for the hotel, all the common amenities are excellent, including a nice pool to dip into, which is appreciated when the temp is 95 F. And the breakfast buffet has everything you could ask for and it opens up early, at 6 AM. Only negative is that the room was tiny, at least the one that I was in, and so the king size bed basically took up the whole room. But then as a tourist you are not there to hang out in your hotel room. "

"We and our daughter stayed in two of the rooms in the old building, rather than a suite. Clean and secure, with friendly staff. We particularly liked the shower, the air conditioning and the fridge. Handy for amenities and restaurants in central Cayenne, but the surrounding area is not photogenic. Two houses being built next door at the moment, with associated powertool noise during weekdays. "
