The guesthouse has its own lovely courtyard, perfect for an afternoon tea by the fire, or a leisurely stroll along the lake in the evening – absolutely idyllic. The public areas are designed with understated elegance, featuring a book bar and a home theater, ideal for gathering with friends or enjoying some quiet time alone. It lacks the formality of a hotel and instead offers the warmth of a home and the relaxation of a vacation. This is definitely a hidden gem and a must-stay guesthouse when visiting Dongjiang Lake."

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel, clean and serene, with minimalist interior and mountain and lake view. The owner speaks English, and was very helpful for the whole stay. She also helped me with sightseeing and showed me all locations and ways to get there. Breakfast is delicious! I’m very happy with my travel experience this time. "The hotel environment was excellent, and the rooms were fully equipped. Located by Dongjiang Lake, the view of the lake was immediately apparent upon opening the curtains. The two receptionists were very friendly. They even provided a complimentary breakfast for our group of three, which was fantastic. The staff reminded us to only book the room if we were satisfied, to avoid having to pay a discount if we were not happy with it. Seeing how attentive and responsible the staff were, and being very satisfied with the room, we booked immediately. Overall, we were very satisfied."

"The guest room was spacious, with two twin beds pushed together and an extra mattress, making the bed exceptionally wide and large, very comfortable to sleep in. The hotel wasn't old; in my opinion, it was the best hotel in town. The lake view from the room was fantastic. I think the best time to view it is 40 minutes before sunrise and two to three hours before sunset. The morning sunlight reflecting off the lake is so bright it's blinding, while artificial light sources at night spoil the ambiance. The hotel breakfast had a wide variety of options, but the taste was just average."

"The hotel is in a great location, within the Bailang Town scenic area. The lake is right outside the door, and the design is Instagram-esque and very stylish. They also offer welcome snacks. The hostess was also very kind. She saw us karaoke outside in the evening and treated us to a barbecue. The hotel also has a KTV from 8:30 to 10:00 PM, with excellent sound equipment. It's also very convenient to ride a donkey around the lake from the hotel. The scenery along the way is beautiful and enjoyable! The only downside was that the inn had stored an electric scooter belonging to a restaurant called ”Lakeside Fisherman.” These little, yellow scooters—remember, the yellow Hello Kitty one?—were too rickety to ride up a hill by ourselves; we had to push them up on the slopes. We finally got to the restaurant entrance and asked for a replacement. The owner had a whole bunch of new, large scooters parked outside, renting them the same at the B&B or the restaurant for 60 yuan a day. The owner immediately said he couldn't replace them. We asked why they had one parked outside, and he asked if we were eating at his restaurant. We said no, and he immediately said he couldn't. So, this was also a bundled purchase. If we didn't eat at his restaurant, we'd have to blame ourselves for this awful scooter. There were plenty of new, large scooters parked outside, so why didn't they replace it? It was their own fault. It was so poorly performing. While we were pushing it, our child fell on a hill, injuring his arms and legs. We showed him the problem, but the owner didn't think it was a problem and even asked if we wanted to eat. B&Bs should be mindful of the integrity of their partners. Everything else was excellent!"

"The room was spacious, and the public areas were definitely worth the price. The photo op spot on the second floor was also a nice touch. We drove there, and parking was very convenient. When we used the bath, they proactively asked if we needed a bath liner, and they provided real, large towels (I'm so fed up with some B&Bs and hotels that only offer disposable ones). The complimentary breakfast was tasty, and if you weren't full, you could order another bowl of noodles for free. It was raining when we left, and the front desk staff specifically came out to offer me an umbrella. I told her we were leaving and wouldn't take it since we couldn't return it, but she said it was fine and not to get wet. Absolutely wonderful. Warm winter sun [Tea around the stove]: Tasted good. [Souvenir gift] Specialty Dongjiang small dried fish: They gave us a big bag, which saved me from having to buy souvenirs myself. Excellent. [Warm and attentive personal butler] Butler service: Very thoughtful."

"Right after parking at the guesthouse's back entrance, even before I stepped into the room, I caught a glimpse of the shimmering river nearby. A gentle breeze, carrying the fresh scent of the water, instantly swept away the fatigue from my journey. When I checked in, the owner smiled and told me the room had a direct river view. The moment I opened the door, I was completely stunned—the floor-to-ceiling window offered a full panoramic view of the river. The river was wide, and I could take in the lush greenery and walkways on both banks, even the distant bridge was clearly visible. I didn't even need to step outside; I could simply sit on the sofa by the window and enjoy the entire river view. The room also had a balcony. In the evening, I watched the sunset slowly dip into the river, painting the water in warm golden hues. At night, I saw the lights on the opposite bank gradually illuminate, creating a particularly soothing night scene with the sparkling water. It's truly a wonderful place for relaxation and unwinding!"
