Oyster Cove Chalet

Oyster Cove Chalet ★★★★

📍 42 Manuka Rd, Oyster Cove

"This place was absolutely amazing and the hosts bent over backwards to greet me and ensure that I was happy and settled.  I was relocating from qld to tassie and my removalists stuffed up and I had to book this accommodation At the drop of a hat.  Kylie was amazing and the facilities were 5 star in my opinion.  You will not be disappointed staying at this amazing property.  Qld David"

Snug Beach Cabin and Caravan Park

Snug Beach Cabin and Caravan Park ★★

📍 35 Beach Rd, Snug

"Felt quite at home in this little park nestled by the beach. The staff have been very helpful and friendly and the park’s facilities were perfect for our needs. There isn’t a bouncy pillow or playground but the children in the park seemed very happy running around with each other. It’s about a half hour to Hobart and great access to the southern areas or inland and Bruny Island ferry close by. My husband did fish a few times but no luck."

Waterview Gardens B&B
9.8 (28 reviews)

Waterview Gardens B&B ★★★★

📍 59 Frosts Rd, Margate

"What a great place to stay. Spotless, incredibly attentive hosts and a wonderful view over the water from the large rooms. 15 minutes from Bruny Island or Hobart and just down the road from Kingston, a shopping centre with every facility and great views of the Derwent River. Very central. The wildlife hopping in each day is a delight and the breakfast is expansive. Looking forward to returning and staying longer."

Quest Trinity House
8.8 (69 reviews)

Quest Trinity House ★★★

📍 149 Brooker Ave, Glebe

"The hotel's convenient location and comprehensive amenities are within walking distance of the port and supermarket. The hot water and heating are excellent, and the rooms are spacious. The front desk offers a wealth of travel guides, which are helpful for planning your trip. The downside is the poor internet connection. The street views are quite nice when you walk outside."

Hobart Bush Cabins
8.8 (35 reviews)

Hobart Bush Cabins ★★★

📍 330 Proctors Rd, Kingston

"Suitable for family groups, plenty of cooking utensils! The location is difficult to find, halfway up the mountain, and the air is fresh!"

Ashdowns of Dover
9.7 (23 reviews)

Ashdowns of Dover ★★★★

📍 6957 Huon Hwy, Dover

"Adorable BnB down the southern edge of Tasmania. Amazingly warm welcome and great conversations to be had. Heater had been turned on prior to our arrival and we had got a free upgrade as we were the only people in that day. Delicious and hefty breakfast with allergies taken into account. Got lots of tips about the area and where/how to best view southern lights and wild platypus. Highly recommend!"

The Cove Kettering ★★★★
"This is classed as a luxury suite. Yes the room was very large and the bathroom was huge with under floor heating. The suites are situated overlooking the ocean but are on the main road and the traffic can be quite noisy. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of blankets and pillows provided. The breakfast was lovely and presented very nicely by the hostesses. There is a lounge area you can use with an open fire. This is a lovely place to stay but you have to travel to Kingston or Blackmans Bay for dinner as the Hotel in Kettering doesn't have good review. If these were fully contained apartments it would be an ideal place to stay. We did enjoy our stay, but would have prefered to have had a microwave in the suite so that you could have something to eat in as it can get expensive to eat out"

Peppermint Ridge Retreat ★★★★
"Peppermint Ridge Retreat has the most beautiful views of any accommodation we've ever stayed in! It is also peaceful and quiet, with thoughtful and friendly owners. Comfortable and warm even in the middle of a Tasmanian winter! Truly a place to relax and explore the surrounding food and wine, with Bruny Island ferry only a few minutes away. The friendly chooks and turkeys regularly checked on our welfare and provided commentary on our bread scraps."

Snug Beach Cabin and Caravan Park ★★
"The staff are so lovely, the camp kitchen is great, no limit on showers you just need to mop them out when your done, the place is very scenic, not many shells if that is what you are looking for (which is what I look for) but for a complete relax it’s a great place to go. Our camp site fitted a 10 person tent and gazebo so we were happy."

Waterview Gardens B&B ★★★★
"Leonie and Tim’s B&B, not far from Hobart, is a 15-minute drive away. Our room, The Baudin, was spacious and had everything we could ever need. The hosts’ attention to detail was commendable. The views were spectacular, even with wallabies in the backyard at dusk. The freshly cooked breakfast was outstanding, using local, fresh produce and homemade condiments. Waterview Gardens is an ideal base to explore nearby parts of Tasmania. A big shoutout to Leonie and Tim for making our first night in Tasmania a memorable experience. Don’t hesitate to book; you won’t be disappointed."

Quest Trinity House ★★★
"The hotel is vintage and has a long history. If you like old buildings, I highly recommend it. When we checked in, the front desk was closed. We called the number at the reception door to get the code for a lockbox. After opening the lockbox, we took our room key and checked in. Parking spaces are assigned to your room number, so you need to park in the designated space. Some spaces require advanced parking skills. The hotel rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The views are stunning, and on clear days, you can see Mount Wellington and Hobart."
