"The room was clean and a reasonable size, bathroom was adequate, bed was a good size and comfortable. Good balcony with a sea view. The location is perfect right on the bikini beach. The reception was unmaned and check-in takes place at another Kaani hotel which is less than 100 metres away. The reception was efficient friendly and helpful. The breakfast also took place at the sister hotel, unfortunately the breakfast was poor.
Maafushi itself has lost the local island feel dominated by hotels but that does mean there are plenty of restaurants and mocktail options.
As a local island no alcohol is available on the island but there is a floating bar if you get desperate for a few beers but probably only worth it if you are desperate"
