Canopy by Hilton Hotels in Chengdu

My standard room didn't come with a bathtub and felt a little cramped. It was difficult to fully open a large suitcase without encroaching on the window-side sofa area. Breakfast wasn't included in the room rate, so I decided to try it once. At 88 RMB, I felt the price was fair, and the food quality was good. The *youtiao* (fried dough sticks) were crispy, and for *chaoshou* (wontons) and noodles, they offered both clear and spicy broths, along with a comprehensive selection of condiments – essential in Chengdu cuisine. I was particularly happy to find *Dan Hong Gao* (egg pancakes), available in both sweet and savory varieties. I ordered room service for dinner. The steak was average, but the Dandan noodles were absolutely delicious. Housekeeping was very prompt and kept the room spotless. The smiling greetings from the floor staff were a genuinely pleasant touch. The location is superb, right next to Tianfu Square and opposite the Chengdu Museum. I imagine some rooms would offer excellent views. Getting to Shuangliu Airport was quick, about 30 minutes.
