"I stayed at Junkun Li Hotel near Tianfu Square during my visit to Chengdu and had a very nice experience. The location was excellent just a short walk from Tianfu Square and easy access to transportation and attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great stay and good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers."

JJoseatstheworldWhat made this Hyatt truly stand out was the warm and friendly staff, especially at the concierge and front desk. Interacting with them felt more like reuniting with old friends.
If you're lucky enough to be assisted by their Experience Curator, Jasmine, your stay will be twice as wonderful. She's incredibly thoughtful and attentive, accurately anticipating my mood and needs, which made me feel very comfortable and special.
The hotel's location is fantastic, right at the intersection of Metro Lines 2 and 8. There's a shopping mall downstairs and plenty of restaurants nearby. Taikoo Li is just a 10-minute walk away – super convenient! The in-room amenities and bedding are excellent and very tasteful.
Besides a restaurant, there's also a rooftop bar. And if you don't feel like dining at the hotel, the mall downstairs has so many restaurants you could eat there for a week and not repeat a meal.
I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Chengdu! 💪🏻

Where do I even begin? My partner and I just wrapped up an incredible 4-night stay at CD Yuenchi, and we are already planning our return. This isn't just a hotel; it's a sanctuary.
The stay: 4 nights (we wish it was 40!)
The vibe: Peaceful, luxurious, and effortlessly warm.
The Highlights:
· The Service: Flawless. Every single staff member greeted us with genuine smiles. A special shout-out to [Staff Name or ”the front desk team”] who went above and beyond to help us with [e.g., dinner reservations / local directions / a surprise for our anniversary]. They made us feel like family, not just guests.
· The Room: Spacious, immaculately clean, and designed with such thoughtful detail. The bed was a cloud – we slept better here than we do at home! Waking up to the morning light and [mention a view or balcony if you had one] was the perfect start to each day.
· Amenities & Cleanliness: Spotless doesn't even cover it. From the lobby to the hallways to the pool/spa area (if applicable), everything shined. It’s clear they take immense pride in their property.

GGuest UserFive-star review! I’m truly impressed with my stay at Xishu Hotel. From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient. Their professionalism made the whole process smooth and pleasant. The room was spotless, well-designed, and comfortably arranged. All the facilities were modern and well maintained, and the attention to detail was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept very well.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing, and the public areas are kept in great condition as well. Whether it’s cleanliness, service, location, or overall convenience, everything exceeded my expectations. I genuinely couldn’t find any flaws during my stay. I will definitely choose Xishu Hotel again next time I’m in the area and will gladly recommend it to friends!

Environment: Perfect for a relaxing hot spring getaway. There are several small pools for soaking, nothing fancy, but they have all the essentials. The strong sulfur smell suggests it's natural hot spring water. The breakfast selection was also decent.
Service: The service attitude was excellent, the front desk lady even helped me with my luggage, thumbs up!

Ppepe8588In May, I booked my stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu via Ctrip. The first four nights were paid in full and non-cancellable, while the last night was set for 'pay at hotel' due to an uncertain itinerary.
Upon check-in, the front desk associate requested payment for both the last night's room fee and the deposit upfront. The guest repeatedly tried to explain and requested to pay them separately, but the associate couldn't decide and called over a female manager. After understanding the situation, the manager agreed not to collect the last night's room fee immediately, but then demanded a higher deposit. During the conversation, she was adamant about the amount, leading to a 15-minute standoff where voices grew louder. This attracted the Director of Rooms. After the guest re-explained their request, the Director not only further increased the deposit amount but also emphasized that it was 'company policy' and 'unalterable'.
The guest had previously stayed at several other Ritz-Carlton properties and always had excellent experiences, which is why they chose The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu. They were completely unprepared for such a scene. The Director insisted it was 'The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu's own policy'. Although he verbally offered 'Is there anything else I can help you with?', he completely disregarded the guest's requests, displaying an arrogant and rude attitude, behaving as if the guest either had to pay the demanded deposit or simply not stay at the Ritz. Of course, he knew the guest had already paid for four non-cancellable nights! This standoff continued for another ten minutes. Exhausted from traveling for days and in urgent need of rest, the guest eventually gave up their demands and paid the 'company-mandated' deposit to check in.
After entering the room, the guest noticed the alcoholic beverages provided (as shown in the picture), with prices ranging from hundreds for liquor to tens for soft drinks. It made them wonder if most guests actually have a demand for hundreds of yuan in alcohol consumption, and if the hotel's deposit policy was somehow related to these beverage costs.
This experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu significantly diminished the guest's perception of the Ritz-Carlton brand. While the hotel's hardware was commendable and the room cleaning service satisfactory, the rude and uncivil behavior of the front desk staff was truly off-putting.

The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to public transportation and plenty of food options nearby. Wenshu Monastery is just a bike ride away. The cleaning staff was incredibly efficient! Plus, there's free afternoon tea and a late-night snack, and they even gave us a small gift when we checked out. This hotel offers great value for money!

It's about a 5-minute walk to Taikoo Li, but unlike Taikoo Li, it offers more of an authentic local vibe. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the service was attentive. The room was clean and tidy, with a simple yet cozy decor. The windows could be opened, providing good ventilation and natural light. It had an American-style layout with two 1.8-meter-wide large beds, comfortably accommodating four adults. The bathroom was spacious and odor-free; I really liked the overall style. The mattress and pillows were just the right firmness, allowing for quick sleep, and the room was soundproof, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. Room amenities and toiletries were complete, water pressure was stable, and the shower was comfortable. I suggest installing a retractable clothesline in the bathroom for guests staying multiple nights, so they can hang their own towels, underwear, and socks to dry. The breakfast had a good variety, and the taste was decent. The promotional price for a two-night consecutive stay offered excellent value for money. It's perfect for a family of three (adults) traveling together. I've saved it and will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

AAnonymous Usergreat location near the IFS and friendly staff! they do group dumpling nights and have alcohol/coffee for sale. the air conditioning worked great and they provide free water. the shower was not very clean though, the drain was almost entirely clogged and the foor was not slanted in a way that it would have drained well regardless. very moldy and stank up the room :(. we stayed at a private two bed room instead of shared accommodations so other showers may have been better.
