Reminds me of the historical past when I entered the hotel. The place is really convenient as it is within Wenshu Yuan, one of the places of interest. The place itself showcases the essence of Sichuan culture. The only setback is that it has no lift. But the staff was helpful to carry the luggage to our room for us. Especially thankful for paying attention to our check out time which is 6am early in the morning to help us carry our luggage down. It is a place worth staying if you want to experience the life in an ancient city.

A familiar atmosphere instantly transported me back 21 years, to the very beginning of my career dreams. The 'Miss Dai' who was at the front desk and my contemporary back then has been replaced by younger, post-2000s faces. Yet, Wenjun Lou itself, with its genuine warmth and personal touch, remains unchanged. I'm grateful that in this restless era, places like Wenjun Lou and steadfast friendships help us remember our original intentions and stay true to our core beliefs. I promise, I'll be back to visit you often whenever I get the chance!

The room was exactly as pictured, boasting a very unique and stylish design. My two friends and I checked in, having originally booked a king room. The front desk staff proactively offered us the option to upgrade to a family room. After comparing, we decided the family room would be more comfortable for the three of us, so we paid to upgrade. The family room had excellent natural light and was very well-equipped. The laundry room, gym, and other facilities are all available 24/7. The only minor drawback was the lack of breakfast. However, our overall stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

Good location with lots of eateries surrounding. Bed is comfortable, you will be spoiled by the breakfast options. The only down side for us is the room temperature control during the weather change season. We are not able to tune to the temperature we wanted, it was centralised. So we felt a bit stuffy in the room, so we needed to open the window. But overall it is a satisfying experience.

Very cute little hotel with amazing service and a beautiful traditional Chinese courtyard. Quiet at night, clean. I would only point out that the twin rooms have transparent shower and toilets, a bit awkward when you’re traveling with friends.

You can always approach the front desk or the owner for any needs; their service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. This place is very popular with foreign tourists, including families and groups, so accommodations get booked up quickly. Advance booking is definitely recommended, and it's best to communicate your group size and any specific needs to the owner beforehand. I always choose to stay here whenever I visit Chengdu. The beds are incredibly comfortable; the owner told me they were all replaced last year as part of a recent renovation. Consequently, amenities like the toilets, washing machines, and dryers are also brand new. They genuinely keep up with the times and prioritize their customers' needs – what's not to love about a place like that? I definitely hope to visit again.

The room design was spacious and elegant, featuring a tea ceremony table and a home projector cinema, which my son absolutely loved. What impressed me most was the lush greenery outside the balcony. Opening the screen window, we were greeted with a refreshing green vista through the expansive glass panes, complete with fragrant yuzu trees laden with fruit of all sizes. It was truly a natural oasis with grass, trees, flowers, and fruits. The balcony also featured a small table and chairs, perfect for children to read and study outdoors, which is very beneficial for their eyes. Another incredibly convenient aspect was the hotel's dining service; the food was delicious. I was personally very satisfied and would definitely stay here again given the chance. Special mention to the ladies at the front desk whose service attitude was exceptional. Overall, a truly enjoyable trip!

Great boutique hotel, near people's park and kuanzhai alley, both really worth a visit. Maybe more than just a one time visit. The room was very comfortable and really clean, it had all I could need, water, tea, milk, coffee and snacks. The room was cleaned daily. The staff is amazing, they made me feel really welcomed. When I arrived my room wasn't ready so they upgraded me to an upper floor. For a couple of days I found cards and little gifts on my desk (it was a public holiday here), which was really thoughtful. I didn't need to, but there's also a chance to do your laundry at the hotel. The hotel also provides some soup in the evening, and some activities that I could not attended, but I thought it was a nice idea. If you don't smoke make sure to book a non smoking room and you'll have a great stay!

FflowertwThis is a hotel that surprised me. In fact, the Disciples South Courtyard is more like a homestay, a very clean and unique homestay. I decided to stay one more night in Chengdu. I had already stayed two nights near Sichuan Museum, and there was nothing else to do near there. I was browsing Ctrip and saw the Disciples South Courtyard. I felt it was very unique and immediately placed an order to move here in the evening. When I got off the car, the driver said, ”It looks like there is no hotel”... I realized it later and looked closely... Ah🤔 In front of me was a church and church members were entering one after another... It really didn't look like a hotel... I quickly called the Disciples manager who had contacted me before. He was very nice and came out to pick me up as soon as he received the call (from a door without an obvious sign). It was drizzling again in the evening, and the area was quiet and not very bright. Thank you for helping me get my luggage for more than ten days to the room and introducing Yuexiang Village to me for dinner👍; the Disciple South Courtyard has a very high ceiling and is a classical building in the building❤️. The supplies in the room are very exquisite and the supplies are also very good; the fragrant Body Lotion saved me when I ran out of coconut oil, and I brought back the small sewing box and hair tie🤭. The next day, I woke up and stopped in the yard to gaze at the beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary. I walked to the back of the yard and vaguely heard the sound of singing hymns... It was quiet and distant🌷. There is also a very beautiful small coffee shop Wonderlust at the entrance of the hotel. I spent more than an hour there😆. Opposite the hotel gate is a small park Mochi, but the park grass is not allowed to be walked or sat on. I asked the security guard and he said it is like this all year round. By the way, the park grass maintained with public money, what is the concept of not allowing citizens to walk or sit? ? The grass is not bad to sit on😮💨; just imagine how comfortable it is for ordinary people to sit on the grass in the park on a sunny afternoon! Oh, let's go back to the South Courtyard of the Disciples. I came back from the West Village Courtyard in the afternoon to pick up the borrowed luggage. Thank you for lending me my phone to charge and helping me carry my luggage to the car. You also helped me ask about the beautiful retro embossed toilet paper in the room. Thank you so much! I have introduced it to my friend and asked her to stay there when she goes to Chengdu.

Breakfast was served in individual portions; the 'chaoshou' (Sichuan wontons) had a distinctive Sichuan peppercorn flavor that was quite unique. It was a great system – no waste, and everyone got a satisfying meal.

MM237602****As someone who highly values good service, when choosing a hotel, I extensively researched many options. Often, there was a noticeable discrepancy between their advertisements and actual guest feedback, ranging from poor service to subpar facilities, or sometimes, both. Despite these concerns, I ultimately chose Mercure Hotel, having stayed there once before. This time, my stay was for 7 days.
Upon arrival, the staff warmly escorted us to our room and proactively assisted with our luggage. The breakfast was abundant and delicious; many guests, myself included, even packed leftovers! 😂 Each day, I'd take two cups of coffee with me, and the staff never made an issue of it. The hotel truly succeeds in making guests feel at home. It's rare to encounter an owner with such a thoughtful and guest-centric mindset; this is only the second time I've experienced it. The hotel also offers laundry service, returning clothes neatly to the room.
In summary, every staff member at Mercure Hotel provides service with a smile, and the owner manages the business with true dedication. I genuinely recommend it! 👍 I sincerely hope Mercure Hotel will become my second home in the future. A big thank you to every staff member at Mercure Hotel. This is an honest review.

The only drawback of the room was that there were no closets, but for our shorter stay, it was ok. We even lost a keycard for the room and the staff said that it is no problem and gave us no extra charge.

愛愛旅行的小貓咪The location is far but the subway is still convenient. The place is clean and well-equipped. However, Chengdu happened to be warmer during my stay, and they couldn't use air conditioning due to technical problems. At first, they just told me that they couldn't help it and could only send me some fans. I was so hot that I couldn't stay out, and even had to stand in the corridor instead of staying in the room. To be honest, I really wanted to check out and leave at the beginning.
However!!! The lobby manager Xiao Luo is really very, very good. She successfully turned me from an extremely dissatisfied customer into a satisfied customer. After understanding the situation, she was very considerate and helped me go to different rooms to feel the body temperature in person, and helped me upgrade the room. The temperature there was very different, at least I was finally able to fall asleep. I stayed for 4 nights, and she made me feel her dedication to service throughout the whole process. I didn't expect that after the room issue was settled, she would continue to provide me with service like a caring butler, and she would arrange anything I needed at the first time. This girl's service attitude is really rare, and I think if the hotel management sees it, they should really give her a raise and praise.
