I wish they had at least provided private dining rooms for meals on the special suite floor. The evacuation route map posted on the room door was also from before the renovation. Dinner was delicious, with local ingredients skillfully prepared."

The food was delicious and luxurious for the price, and the price was really low, so I'd rate this as "very good"! The location is also great. Kamiyamada Onsen has a shooting gallery and snack bar, and it feels like a hot spring town from the good old days. Drinks from the vending machines are free, and if you serve yourself from the beer server, beer is only 100 yen, which is really cheap. It's not a luxury inn, but it's a nice, rustic hot spring, and I'd love to go again."
