"The hotel is very well located right next to the beach. The staff were fantastic, even giving great recommendations for activities in the area. The best part… the pool, which is open until 9 pm. 100% recommended if you're going to Playa Coco"

"Nice little place at the end of the road. Nice gardens and pool. Friendly staff. Avoid the “Economy Room” thought. It’s a strange shaped little room in the same space as reception and breakfast area, so it gets loud by 7am."

"We drove to El Coco beach on a whim and wanting to find somewhere to stay on the beach. Walked up to the bar and the young lady working there was able to accommodate us on the spot in one of the rooms. The room was super basic but economical and we had the sound of the ocean to lull us to sleep. That's where the good ends. That evening, a rainstorm blown up by a tropical rainstorm in the Gulf dumped rain all night in that area of Costa Rica. We wake up at 2 am and step off the bed into 4 inches of water, our sneakers floating by and a backed up sewer system in the shower. Fortunately, the shower "tray" kept the black water contained in the shower and not contaminated all of our stuff. We move our bags onto chairs and tables and my laptop bag (fortunately no damage except for a few wet documents) and try our best to sleep hoping the water recedes in time for morning. There is literally a river of water out of our front door. So, tropical rainstorms happen... I grew up in the Caribbean so I get it. The hotel also lacks any sort of water mitigation from the parking lot that lies uphill or from all the water running off the roof straight down in front of the doors (no gutters or downspouts to divert it away from the front). But what followed probably ranks as the worst service I have ever seen traveling the world. We wake and the water has receded some so we ask for a mop so we can have a dry floor - no one or mop shows up. We try to dry our stuff, place wet stuff in bags and decide to go eat our included breakfast to make the best of this and realize the guy sitting two tables from us is actually the owner. We never saw him nor any employee throughout the "flood" to apologize or even provide some type of something...?. I think what really bothered me and the reason for this review was basically seeing the owner casually enjoying his breakfast and on his phone the entire time we were in the restaurant with most of our stuff now wet and EVERY single room flooded from the previous evening. I mean, isn't that the kind of all-hands-on-deck crisis that should have everyone helping and dealing with the mess and customers - including the owner? If not, I can't imagine what would be. Anyway, the staff in the restaurant were attentive and the food was pretty good. It's a shame because we were in Costa Rica for ten days and this was our last night. Everywhere we went the people, service and attention were spectacular."

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa 6 of Bahia Pez Vela. It was such an easy, beautiful, relaxing, exciting, and reasonably priced getaway. We will definitely go back again. We got off to a great start, the community is close to the Liberia airport which was small and easily managed. After a short drive, we reached the manicured, monitored entrance, drove a short ways through the lush grounds, and arrived at Villa 6. The villa was super comfortable and had all the comforts of home - bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room were all great. The back patio is a highlight, with abundant palm trees and local greenery and birds all around, a view of the water and the sound of gentle waves on the private beach. The two-level pool, restaurant, and beach were beautiful and an easy walk from the condo. The decking was surrounded by comfortable lounges and tables. The beach was striking and always quiet. We so enjoyed strolling to the far end, wading in the warm water, watching for birds and fish. Coco was close by and lots of fun. We enjoyed several local restaurants of different price ranges, all had great food and ambiance. We’re not into souvenir shopping, but there’s plenty to choose from if you are. One highlight was the nearby adventure park where we enjoyed zip-lining, tubing, thermal pools and hiking. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!"
