"Been here a couple of times and found it has gone downhill. I was excited to return as previous experiences were excellent, but on this occasion I was left very dissappointed and wouldnt visit again. I was given a room on the ground floor which was infested with cockroaches. I had a huge one land on my bed and found it hard to relax after that. When I reported this the staff seemed like it was the norm. Eventually after many requests someone did come to room to clean and spray. Dead cockroaches were still left lying on the carpet. I never ate in the room or left any food out and was very worried about bringing them home. This completely spoilt my trip. Other bad points included being charged for inedible, raw food at the S Club and the amount of flies touching uncovered food at the buffet..... The range of food at the buffet is great and reasonable quality and I also enjoyed the spar."

"The staff is very friendly! The location is right next to a large cement plant, but you can't hear it. There's not much to do in the immediate vicinity. The view from the hotel pool is okay, but the deck is outdated. The view from the separate club is fantastic, and everything is very modern. The accommodation is well-equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. A very strong cleaner (chlorine?) was used for cleaning our room, which caused nausea because the smell was almost impossible to ventilate. However, the cleanliness was excellent. You have your own relaxation area and very good parking facilities. All in all, it's a great stay during the week because individual loungers in the club are free for guests. On weekends, you have to pay for them, and since the two pools are so different, I think that's a real shame. But that's just how it is, and you should keep that in mind beforehand."

"I was looking for something in Puerto Rico, secluded and with great views, where I could relax and disconnect. I found the Grand Horizon by accident and it was incredible! I chose a room with a pool! Every detail was meticulously attended to. The apartment has absolutely everything (dishwasher, washing machine, iron, pots, pans, filtered drinking water) so you can do your shopping and never leave the house again during your entire stay. It's high up on the mountain, with easy parking, hardly any noise, and the best views in the area! The breakfast was excellent, and although it's a virtual hotel, the few staff members are very friendly, there's a great atmosphere, and they're attentive to every detail. A true 5-star hotel that I hope to return to soon."

Tui Blue Suite Princess - Adults Only

"Suite Princess This was the second time this year at this hotel. That in itself suggests what we think of it as we are regular winter travellers and have never returned to the same place twice! Booked through TUI a standard Junior Suite. Last trip we had a deluxe room on the second floor with a walk-in shower and it was modern in its decor. This time we had a slightly larger room on the 6th floor (same as reception) which had older furniture with much more storage and a shower over the bath. But in many respects it was better with a superb sea view except for the shower pressure. All rooms have a terrific sea view with balcony, table, chairs and 2 loungers. Drinking Water dispenser in reception which is great if you are on the same floor or near as it saves going down to the bars. Not sure if they are on other floors near the lift?? Overall we knew what we were getting and it didn’t disappoint. We took the hotel free bus to Puerto Mogan which now has a lengthy detour due to the local mountain road being blocked off temporarily. Be aware if this detour if you are taking a Taxi as the cost will no doubt be far more expensive!? Walked around Mogan, which we’ve done years ago and then took the water taxi (7.50€ each single) to Puerto Rico - great to see the coast and hotels viewed from the sea. Walked around and had lunch there before returning to the hotel on the local bus (2.90€ for two) - entertaining white knuckle ride it must be said 😱😂 through Amadores and Cura. Great way to see the nearby resorts and coastline. Bus stop about 10 minutes easy walk to the hotel. TUI Blue app is a must to download on your phone as not to miss anything or to use the hotel facilities from extra pillows to booking the Culinarium speciality restaurant, which was a nice change, also they do a veggie option. Good entertainment and the silent disco is a laugh. Love the sunbed policy here as it makes for a relaxing holiday 👏👏👏 lower level we preferred. Also like the low key lunch at the Taste restaurant which has show cooking outside @1pm Plenty of lunch choice it must be said. It’s good not to go into the same restaurant for all 3 meals. Drinks were great and branded so no need in my view to upgrade. Evening table service for drinks around the bars was efficient and speedy and well worth tipping! We will come back here when it suits us no doubt as it ticks all the boxes for us, although we’ve never understood that statement by others before! We might get a private taxi to and from the airport next time as the TUI bus this time detoured around Maspalomas on the way to the hotel and coastal road picking up on the way back between the hotel and Puerto Rico - a bit of theme park ride!! Great staff which people should not name and single out, they are ALL great!! 👌"

"Great apartments only downfall was the door in the rooms , single door linking rooms could hear everything that was going on next door with a quite a cap which was annoying especially when neighbours get a bit loud . Considering the noise that came from across from the centre we got a noise complaint for laughing Pool staff and entertainment staff always friendly and always had great fun and laugh with them all"

"Lovely hotel. Very clean and bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Only 10 mins to the beach ( but you do need to climb 100 steps, but I don’t think you can escape that if you stay in Peurto Rico!!) and about the same distance to the shopping centre where all the restaurants are. A great holiday and would return."
