"The hotel is in the lake area, the surrounding environment is very good, but it should be self-driving. About 100 meters below the hotel is a commercial street in the village. There are food and drink. The hotel also has a restaurant. The scenery is good, but the price is more expensive and the taste is the average British. The parent-child room is small in size, but there are two beds and the scenery outside the large windows is good. There are several lakes nearby, which can be recommended for bean bags. There is also an old bar below the hotel, which is also a century-old bar."

"Booked to stay here as we were attending the bonfire and firework display at Coniston Sports and Social Club, and wanted to stay local, in an independent B&B. The location was spot on, a short walk to the town centre, and to the lake itself. The room was clean, and the bed was nice and roomy! A full bathroom is always nice, with a shower over a bath, just what you need after a day's walking! Tracy and Michael are great hosts, very knowledgeable of the area, and things to do, places to eat. Breakfast was a good selection of cereal/fruit/cooked items, with fresh coffee bubbling away. Parking on site is always a bonus, and would stay here again if in Coniston."
