"The hotel is in a great central location in the town. Public parking (extra cost) nearby. It was pretty quiet - I stayed in room 201 which is on the opposite side to Wetherspoons and the adjacent road. I found booking a specific room was good, although would have like to see the location of the lift, which I usually try and avoid. The bedroom was fine, with a good bed and clean. The a/c unit did not work, so was cold at night. The shower curtain smelt. Reception staff never there and had to wait a few minutes for them to appear but they were also very helpful once they did arrive. Decent price."

"We were greeted by lovely people who seem to run the bar next door also , room was clean and tidy and bed was comfy ,we were only on a flying visit taking a tour of Ashdown forest ,I would stay here again next time I would probably make sure the room had a bath lot of walking needed a good soak but very local to the town and restaurants ,shops etc"
