"Room was clean & spacious. Abit hard to drive up to but the view makes up for it (you can see the railway tracks from the villa). Service was also great, very helpful. Hotel breakfast was very nice. Very relaxing environment, recommend for those who want a little getaway."

"The basic facilities in the room are relatively simple. There is no air conditioning, only a fan. There is no hot water for showering. The location is also a distance from the main road. If you ride a motorcycle, the price-performance ratio is good. It is suitable for one person to spend a night in Ella"

"If you’re looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay then Moi Ella is the place! We had such a lovely & relaxing stay here. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, we were greeted with some tea and delicious coconut pancake on arrival which was just what we needed after a long drive. The breakfast and dinner was also amazing. The hotel offers 360 views of the beautiful hills and mountains of Ella, and you can even head up to the top floor to catch sunrise - we did this one morning and it was absolutely breathtaking!! If you’re looking to stay in/near Ella then you might want to find somewhere closer to the town as this hotel is about a 30 minute drive out of town so you’ll need transport. We didn’t mind though as we loved how peaceful and secluded the hotel was :)"

Amado Homestay

"We stayed here with our son. The host family was very, very friendly, the room was well-equipped, our bathroom had a hot shower, and it was very clean. The homestay has two guest rooms. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Ella. The view from the terrace was lovely; we saw monkeys and chipmunks from there. Hornbills even visited us while we were having breakfast. The host helped us organize our onward travel. He also helped us later on, arranging a car transfer from Tangalle to Colombo Airport for us at a reasonable price. A huge thank you to him! We would love to stay at Amado again!"

"A wonderful hostess with a sweet daughter. Met, brought a kettle, blankets and mosquito spray. Ordered a tuk-tuk to the city and told about the sights. In the morning she laid a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, baked a flatbread, made coffee. The hotel itself is in the mountains with a beautiful view, you will enjoy staying in the jungle and its inhabitants. The feeling that you live in a wooden hut that we built in childhood, I really liked it. The place is located 10 minutes walk from the city, away from the hustle and bustle where you can relax."
