"The location of this hotel is fabulous so much so we booked a room with balcony overlooking the Seine to celebrate our anniversary. The room was simple, characterful , clean and comfortable ,and expensive. We had the buffet on Sunday night which we found quite basic, apart from the fresh salmon, it was mainly cold uninteresting salad dishes, and desserts that could be bought in supermarkets.It cost 37 euros per person plus wine. The staff were pleasant but service was minimal as one person was receptionist, waitress etc. All in all it was disappointing and expensive compared to the other places we stayed on our trip. I felt the website did not fully reflect the standard of the Hostellerie."

"We had a memorable stay at this beautiful chateau. Stunning and idyllic setting. We had a lovely walk around the grounds and there are even beautiful woods too in the grounds. A wonderful family own and run the chateau which has been in the family for several generations. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning with home made cake and preserves and local apple juice. Along with fresh fruit , cheese and pastries. The family are a delight and we will definitely love to return."

Erawan Boutique Hotel

"We reached Erawan pretty late, at dark, in a snow day. Because communication channel with Trip.com did g allow the owner to reach us (phone nor email), we reached an empty, closed venue. Which I have to stay is pretty upsetting when it is -2 outside. However, after few phone calls, and relevant explanations, we got welcomed warmly by the owner and the neighbor business owner and we moved in accordingly. Thank you to the neighbor businessman to help us carry our heavy luggage till the 2nd floor!! Beautiful house and deco; beautiful bedroom BUT, extremely cold toilet and bathroom (supposed to be a hammam??? We never found the way to turn it into a hammam…. It is gorgeous…. But… damn cold!) Again, the house is very beautifully decorated which was so nice to experiment for breakfast. Do try this place which bedrooms names are themed on Thailand! :-)"

"We stayed here one night on our way from Dordogne to Calais. It’s a beautiful place, we had a nice but small bedroom and everything was nice and clean. The grounds are spacious with sparse planting around the castle. Dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced. Nice wine as well. The service was OK. Breakfast was OK, but no one there to let us know where to get coffee and find the different dishes. We had to find cutlery to serve us selves with. So plus for the food, minus for the service."
