"We stayed at this charming manor en route from Calais to Île de Ré, and it was an ideal start to the holiday. Our family suite of two rooms was spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Just what we needed after a long drive. Tina was a delightful host. She checked in on our journey, made us feel incredibly welcome, and booked a nearby pizza restaurant for us. Breakfast was excellent. This is a gem in Le Neubourg, and we’d happily return."

"My wife and I were delighted to stay here during our Seine cycle trip. The location is ideal... on the Seine with a relaxing garden next to it and a rooftop sitting area for an even better view. The rooms overlooking the river are a must. They are recently updated and very comfortable. We loved our dinner and breakfast. The dinner was one of our better meals on our two week trip. We generally like to explore the area, but this hotel invites you to settle in and relax and enjoy every minute of the stay. As a bonus, the hotel offers indoor bicycle storage with racks, pumps and electrical outlets. A perfect stay for us!"

"When you pass through the castle gate, you expect unparalleled service. But unfortunately, this is not the case. We enter the restaurant room and there is no conviviality. The table is more like a cafe/bar. The dishes sound delicious on paper and on paper, but what a disappointment on the plate! The scallops in a court-bouillon are indeed court-bouillon in a dirty watery broth with insignificant grey radish – what a shame for such beautiful scallops! As for the pollack, it sits on a shapeless sweet potato puree, cooked on one side and cold on the other. The leeks were burnt to a crisp. On the other hand, the apple crumble was very good, but there were no small spoons for eating the whipped cream and Calvados, so we had to use the back of a fork. For the meat, please use proper meat knives, not IKEA-style ones. The champagne was served by the glass, not by the bottle in front of us 🤨 The waiter, dressed all in black, was competent, but his colleague didn't even wait for us to sit down before throwing the menu on the table without any explanation. As a result, we ended up paying €200. What a shame! We won't be returning and we won't be recommending this restaurant. Isabelle and Eric"

"We had a memorable stay at this beautiful chateau. Stunning and idyllic setting. We had a lovely walk around the grounds and there are even beautiful woods too in the grounds. A wonderful family own and run the chateau which has been in the family for several generations. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning with home made cake and preserves and local apple juice. Along with fresh fruit , cheese and pastries. The family are a delight and we will definitely love to return."

Erawan Boutique Hotel

"We reached Erawan pretty late, at dark, in a snow day. Because communication channel with Trip.com did g allow the owner to reach us (phone nor email), we reached an empty, closed venue. Which I have to stay is pretty upsetting when it is -2 outside. However, after few phone calls, and relevant explanations, we got welcomed warmly by the owner and the neighbor business owner and we moved in accordingly. Thank you to the neighbor businessman to help us carry our heavy luggage till the 2nd floor!! Beautiful house and deco; beautiful bedroom BUT, extremely cold toilet and bathroom (supposed to be a hammam??? We never found the way to turn it into a hammam…. It is gorgeous…. But… damn cold!) Again, the house is very beautifully decorated which was so nice to experiment for breakfast. Do try this place which bedrooms names are themed on Thailand! :-)"
