"Hospitable and very good value for money. The owners are absolutely lovely and were there if we had any questions. Rooms very comfortable and. tidy. It wasn’t pool season, but it looked nice. A great place to use if you are exploring the area. Can recommend!"

"Charming, welcoming peaceful location. Great hosts made us feel instantly relaxed , the glass of rose was a lovely welcome! Easy access to nearby Fayence with a great market and restaurants . Cycling straight from the property with many local vineyards and villages within easy reach . Wonderful hosts , breakfast in the courtyard was a lovely start to the day often with the company of the dogs Lewis and Winston!! The pool area and outdoor kitchen are fabulous and give you the opportunity to relax and cook and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We would highly recommend a stay in this unique accommodation and hope to return. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home and to enjoy your hospitality. "

"Family had booked this some time ago and asked us to come along at last minute.... and subsequently to give our review. First impressions driving up to the villa were good. From the front it looked nice and was set in a small close with 3 other villas. However, it went downhill from then, we arrived the day after them at the 3 bed villa they had booked. When they first arrived they had to make their own beds?? Or pay for the privilege of lagrange making beforehand and charging per bed? Decor was bearable in some rooms but others were dirty, covered in handprints. Showers were almost hanging off the wall and bathrooms very dated as was the kitchen area. Furniture in main living areas was poor, broken and in need of replacing. All the chairs, including the outdoor patio we could use were uneven and unstable. Everything lacked quality. It had air-conditioning though even that was so noisy it was impossible to use overnight. Whole place really needed upgrading, re-decoration and some tlc. Some positives. The pool was nice though many of the tiles around it were broken and a hazard for youngsters. It also had a usable BBQ area, though it contained the used coals from the last renters and had not been cleaned. Garden areas in the back were untidy and poorly maintained though obviously in drought area. The reception area contained a restaurant but it seemed to be rarely open. Sorry but would never go back to this resort."

Hotel les Oliviers ★★★
"We stayed here for 2 nights in late May ‘14 at the end of our three week exploration of the Var and Cote d’Azure. We wanted a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in an interesting region not too far from Nice. The Hotel Les Oliviers was a good choice, though if this were at the beginning of our trip we might have chosen a hotel more central to the old town area. Les Oliviers is located at the base of the old town on the main road. This was convenient for exploring the area but it was a bit far to walk to the old core. Driving was no problem, however, and there was a fair amount of public parking higher up. The hotel is attractively designed as an older building from the outside but is quite modern on the inside. Our room (203) was large and well laid out with adequate room for suitcases and storage. There was a desk, tv stand, comfortable double bed with two night stands, a built in closet (no safe), a coffee maker and small refrigerator. The bathroom was also large and attractive with a shower only. The included wife worked well. Breakfast was extra (10e), served in a pleasant area off the lobby. We didn’t try it so we can’t evaluate the quality. The pool area was inviting but the weather was still a bit cool for us. There is some parking available next to the hotel, and more in a small shopping area adjacent to it. A definite positive feature for us was the friendly, helpful staff who helped us with our luggage (no lift) and with information about the area. They also made good restaurant recommendations. Overall the Hotel Les Oliviers was very good value, comfortable and convenient."

"From the moment we arrived we were treated like family by Rupert and Christophe. Nothing was too much trouble. Restaurants were booked, suggestions given and everywhere we went on their fabulous property the views were amazing. The pool is gorgeous and with so few rooms, it feels like your own. The outside kitchen and bar is a lovely and useful touch. Breakfast is a wonderful affair with Rupert’s never ending hospitality ensuring you get everything that you want and some you didn’t even know you wanted! Inside the house is sumptuous and the rooms are beautifully presented, with very comfy huge beds (my wife and I are both very tall). The bathrooms are very swish with fancy taps, tiles and proper showers. We had a lovely time. Thank you."
