The Grand Burstin Hotel
"Had been here twice. Old style but convenient location, and cheap price. Will definitely come again"
The View Hotel Folkestone, a member of Radisson Individuals
"Room was clean, good location. Information prior to check in was a bit confusing - said needed £30 cash deposit, but wasn't required in the end."
Holiday Inn Express FOLKESTONE - CHANNEL TUNNEL by IHG
"It’s ok for 2 people."
The Southcliff Hotel
"We actually liked the hotel, because reception lady was friendly and helpful, room was alright and clean, beds and linen were nice, we also had a big shower, wardrobe and huge mirror, there was a tiny lift available. Heating was helpful. Only one problem we had, was with the door, which was hard to open and close. Otherwise, It’s a good value for money and we would definitely return."
Rocksalt
"This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! Thumbs up from us, thang you so kindly 💕"

"Had a lovely stay at this Hotel ..the beds were comfy ..the rooms Were spotless and the staff are all very helpful .would stay here Again"
The Portland Hotel
"This hotel has very welcoming staff. They were consistently attentive and helpful. I was staying for four nights while I worked locally and room 2 was bright, nicely decorated, clean and large with biscuits with the tea and coffee and a bottle of water provided the first night too. There was a shower and a bidet in the en-suite. There was a large flat screen TV, two sofas and a table and chairs as well as the double bed. Although you check in at the bar on arrival, the staff are very good and will also provide guest parking permits at only £1 a time for 24 hrs so I was able to park directly outside easily. The hotel was quite separate to the bar and caused no disturbance. There was a separate entrance to the breakfast room on the lower floor. It was well lit with tables laid for enjoying breakfast. The breakfast is more than just a continental one. Cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, meat and cheeses are available alongside muffins and fresh fruit. You can also have crumpets or croissants or scrambled egg on toast served to you. In the evening the bar serves food, which is of a good standard. There is a lot of choice at a reasonable price. A really good stay and they couldn't have been more helpful even when I left without my case and had to arrange a courier to collect it. They obligingly attached labels and took care of it. Wonderful - thank you."

Chandos Premier Folkestone (Channel Tunnel) Hotel
"The hotel had definitely seen better days. The bed was comfortable but the room and ensuite were grubby and poorly decorated. The ensuite shower was covered in limescale and the shower head had to be held by hand to use it. We saw the proprietors only once when they handed over the key and told us where the room was. There were numerous cigarette butts on the window roof outside our room. Luckily we were only staying for one night for a family party elsewhere. I can't remember if breakfast was included in the booking. "
