"We received a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival. The room was very quiet, and the bed was comfortable. It was clean and not damp. On the first floor, complimentary self-service coffee, sour plum juice, and snacks were available. The TV in the room also supported screen mirroring, which was very convenient. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the staff were very friendly. The location was convenient for getting around. Overall, I was very satisfied!"

"I stayed here for a few days for business.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was big, the sheets were clean, and I could sleep well. The cleaning was careful in every detail.
After I entered the room, I got a call from the front desk asking, “Is this room okay?” I felt their care.
During my stay, the front desk staff helped me a lot. They lent me scissors, tape, and an umbrella, and they also helped me extend my stay quickly. They supported me in many ways.
If you stay near Guangzhou Railway Station, I recommend this hotel.

"Pros: Service was wonderful...we left something in a taxi and the staff went out of their way to help us retrieve. Typically if you need anything, they are polite and will provide prompt assistance. Location was ideal, easy to get around to key spots and food options. The property is new and the room was a good size, generally had everything you would need including a washing machine. Also next to a nice little theater.
Neutral: Breakfast was offered basic options, which could be improved. The staff there was very nice.
Cons: Internet was out the whole visit, the toilet seat has a sticky tape mark in multiple places, and maybe amenities not thought thru (1 bottle of soap for 3 sinks or does not have kid friendly options like step stools but does offer kids soaps/toothbrush).
Generally a good stay, little extra touches would be excellent."

"I absolutely *strongly* recommend this hidden gem of a hotel! It's just a 7-minute walk to the subway station, making connections incredibly convenient for exploring the entire city with ease. The rooms are generously sized, never feeling cramped, with ample space even to spread out luggage. They're wonderfully bright with excellent natural light, and the decor is simple yet incredibly cozy. The bathrooms feature a practical wet/dry separation, and all facilities are sparkling new. The staff are exceptionally warm, attentive, and always go the extra mile to assist. The value for money is simply unbeatable! I'll definitely make this my go-to choice for all future visits!"

"As someone who rarely leaves hotel reviews, I absolutely have to give this hotel a thumbs up! First off, the front desk staff were incredibly professional, providing service with a smile during check-in. Everything in the room was brand new and very well-equipped. The 8th floor also features a laundry room with dryers. Ordered takeout? A robot delivers it straight to your room! The room was spotless, and the makeup mirror even came with its own lighting. What's more, there's a bakery nearby with my favorite bread – a true highlight! The location is excellent, very close to Canton Tower – just over 900 meters on foot – making transportation incredibly convenient."

"I have to admit that the hotel is very convenient, as it’s located very close to Nanzhou metro station. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Unfortunately, China has yet to implement a no-smoking law for hotels, and many of the rooms in this property are designated for smokers. Although my room was spotless and odor-free, the corridors often smelled of cigarette smoke due to other guests leaving their doors open for reasons I couldn’t understand. While this is allowed in China and not necessarily a fault of the hotel, I do hope regulations will change soon.
As for the room, I did have some concerns about the soundproofing—traffic noise and construction sounds from a building site across the street were quite noticeable.
One important point to mention: I didn’t find any staff at the reception who spoke English. While it’s true that today we have many tools for real-time translation, I believe that in a modern hotel catering to international guests, having at least one English-speaking staff member at the front desk should be a basic requirement. It’s essential for getting local advice on restaurants, amenities, directions, and more.
Another small note from a European perspective: breakfast was entirely traditional Cantonese, with no international options available—only some fruit. Also, the food items were not labeled in any other language, which might be confusing for some guests.
Overall, my experience was very positive, and I believe this hotel has great potential for improvement in the future.
Would I stay here again? Yes."

GGuest UserThe hotel's air conditioning was excellent, keeping the room perfectly cool. The room facilities were quite new, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and professional, handling check-in and invoice processing very quickly. My room came with a minibar and pour-over coffee, which, as a coffee lover, I really appreciated! The housekeeping staff were also very good. The AC worked effectively, the room had no unpleasant odors, and there was always ample hot water. The restaurant was decent and had a terrace, which was convenient for sun-drying clothes.
While it's about 1km from the subway station, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service there, which is very convenient. It's also super easy to get to the airport from here – just book it in advance. Overall, excellent value for money. I highly recommend it!

For guests who appreciate luxury accommodations, this Rosewood property is an excellent choice. Our stay experience revealed that while its prime location, breathtaking views, avant-garde design, and opulent furnishings are certainly noteworthy, what truly deserves commendation is the hotel's meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to service excellence.
To give a few examples, let's start with the food quality. At Patina Garden restaurant, the breakfast selection might not be vast, but every single dish offered is a masterpiece. Highlights include handmade shrimp dumplings (har gow) and siu mai, generously filled with whole large shrimp; exceptionally sweet pomelos, honey pomelos, mangoes, and jackfruit; and French crêpes and waffles, rich in milky and eggy flavors, perfectly golden and crispy.
Another example of their dedication: after we offered a small suggestion to the restaurant on our first day, the breakfast offerings were promptly adjusted the following morning. This proactive response, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, truly speaks volumes about the hotel's exceptional efficiency and genuine attentiveness to guest feedback. Furthermore, both the front office and housekeeping teams consistently strive to anticipate and meet guests' needs, tailoring details when cleaning and arranging rooms according to individual preferences.
A special thank you to the hotel management and service team for the exceptional care and hospitality shown to my family and me during our stay. This includes the following staff members whose names I remember, along with many others whose names I regrettably cannot recall: Yuki (Director of Housekeeping), Angelia (Assistant Front Office Manager), Freddie (Duty Manager), Celin (Manager of Patina Garden Restaurant), Minnie (intern), and many more. PPpsengWe stayed at S&L Mansion for 3 days and had a wonderful experience! The location is perfect, just steps away from Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and a short walk to Park Qian Subway Station, making it easy to explore Guangzhou.
The apartment was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including fast Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a functional kitchen. The host was responsive and helpful, providing clear check-in instructions.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the rooms are modern and well-maintained. Seto (司徒師傅) from the restaurant, who was also very friendly and gave us great recommendations on the best places to eat in the city.
The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the subway (about a 10-15 minute walk), and the road can be a little quiet at night. However, this wasn't a problem for us once we learned how to use the mobile app for taxis, which are very affordable in the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserIt's really close to the metro station. The hotel is gigantic, which is a bad thing. It takes a long time to get to the reception or the pool. There was a construction site right outside my window, and at 11:30 p.m., the excavator workers started blowing their whistles. I had to go to the reception to ask for a different room. The staff gave me a different room. The breakfast food was delicious, and there was a good selection. However, I probably won't stay here again.

SsiddharthThe location of the hotel is excellent—just a 2-3 minute walk from the metro station, with several restaurants less than a minute away. To get to Canton Tower, head to the Guangzhou East Railway Station metro station and take the train toward Tiyu Xilu. Some trains go directly to Canton Tower, while others require you to transfer at Tiyu Xilu. Fortunately, the transfer is usually on the same platform, so there's minimal walking involved. Just make sure to listen carefully to the announcements on the train.
One thing to note is that the hotel is labeled as “Liz Hotel” from the outside, which was a bit confusing at first.
The hotel offers free late-night noodles, which is a great perk after a long day of sightseeing. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the window view wasn’t great. Self-service laundry room was great.
Another plus is the proximity to Guangzhou East Railway Station (literally 1-2 minute walk away), which makes it very convenient if you’re planning to travel to Shenzhen by train. Also, sightseeing buses are available near the Canton Tower area.
Cons: The breakfast was underwhelming, so don’t expect much. Additionally, there were mosquitoes in the dining area, so it’s a good idea to wear full-length pants and closed shoes to avoid getting bitten.

NNanthaneeLovely hotel! Thank you to Xiao Lin and Xiao Yang for the comfortable stay! We enjoyed every moment! The room was nice, with awesome projector to watch movie after the long day exploring Guangzhou. We checked in at around midnight. There was a convenient store 7-11 just around the corner, so convenient and the subway is just next door! Housekeeper lady was so kind, she offered to clean the room and made your stay most comfortable! I couldn’t be more happier! Highly recommended 😌 10/10

GGuest UserIts quite hard to find the location, and also the host never tell us where is the receptionist or meeting point to get the host. So we do everything by ourself and it quite takes time since we arrive at midnight.

GGuest UserI believe this hotel use to be very good and popular with its brand name. But now it is old and needs to be renovated. It smells as it was fully smoking allowed hotel.
It is clean, the towels almost as a new. Nice shampoo in the bathroom.
The location is a bit far from a nearest subway and there is almost nothing around except Starbucks.
There is nice view to the river if you lucky to get room in that side.
The breakfast is limited but worth the price.
