Summit Views Hakuba
"Generally good experience. It's renovated and clean. The only thing is we booked with A/C and didn't have one in the room. It was quite hot then."
Hotel Sierra Resort Hakuba
"Check in time is not flexible but the staff quite friendly..overall experience quite okay."
Hakuba Tokyu Hotel
"Very well spoken check in staff who knows English which was very helpful. Cosy hotel and parking is free as a guest here. Thou it's not sheltered. Gave us a bottle of honey for our anniversary."
Hakuba sun valley Hotel
"The hotel's service was excellent, the views were great, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It was also very clean and tidy. The host was incredibly warm and friendly. Plus, during the ski season, you can ski in and ski out! Highly recommend this place; I'd definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Hakuba Goryu for skiing."
Wakata Lodge Hakuba
"Good location - quiet and near Iwatake. Friendly staff. Breakfast is simple but good portion."
SamaSama Lodge Hakuba
"The accommodation is about an 8-10 minute walk from Escal Plaza, which is very convenient. The environment is new and clean, and the staff are friendly and can communicate in English. I'm so glad I stayed here! 🤗"
Hotel la Vigne Hakuba by Onko Chishin
"We do really love this hotel. It’s on our special occasion and they contacted us prior to arrive if we want to have cake. They also arrange a hand written card which is very cute. The room is spacious with nice decoration, room also have a kitchen and dining area with ding tools. Staff is very helpful and friendly, we planned for a cherry blossom but it’s too soon. She recommends us for a nearby town with full bloom period. I can’t remember her name but she’s great. For next time in Hakuba, we’ll surely stay here again!"
Casa Kokoro Hakuba
Ringo Lodge Hakuba

Garden Pension Obergurgl
"Friendly and helpful staffs, location near to Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort and several nearby restaurants. Limited timing for shower time."
Restaurant & Hotel Traumerei
"The hotel has a great location. It's in the center of Baima Village, making it convenient to go to any ski resort. There's a shuttle bus right outside. We drove, so we didn't take the shuttle bus. The hotel staff were very friendly, and they offer free laundry service. We stayed for a week and did laundry twice; we dropped it off the first day and picked it up the next day. The hotel's hot spring is also very nice and private. Each room has 50 minutes of access; you just need to book in advance. Breakfast can be delivered to your room, which is also very convenient. The only downside is probably the poor Wi-Fi."
Hakuba Mominoki Hotel
"Stayed late June to see the stunning Itawake view. No skiing, just soaking in Hakuba’s nature. Hotel was peaceful, surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was clean, a bit small for what we booked. Breakfast was okay, mix of Japanese and Western. The onsen was the real highlight — so refreshing after a day out. Even without snow, Mominoki was a great base. Cozy, quiet, and welcoming. Would stay again."
Hotel la Montagne Furuhata
"Do NOT recommend this hotel. We stayed in the annex building, which: Does NOT have any showers; Does NOT have warm water; Does NOT have a descent mens toilet; The entire hotel does not have working wifi. Even the bedsheets, pillows, etc. are worn out and dirty. In short: worst hotel i ever stayed in!"
Hakuba Canadian Lodge
"Love here, good location, good service, clean and comfortable."
Evo Hotel Hakuba
"good location, got free transport to pickuo/ send to hakuba station, next to hakuba bus terminal jus a few min walk. staffs was friendly and helpful.onsen was clean."
Hotel Hakuba Hifumi
"This hotel is very good and I can onsen public with family. My room is clean and lovely and reception is very nice."
Hakuba Ryujin Onsen
"Excellent service and onsen that comes with after free flow of wine and sake at designated hours. Room is spacious and clean, csn pick up fresh towel daily. Breakfast is nice and more than what you could eat."
Hakuba Pension & Log Hotel Meteor
"We stayed in the 7bedroom log cabin with our group of 14. Bedrooms were large and cozy with new bathrooms in each. The whole place has been renovated with a big kitchen and communal lounge with heaps of room for a large group. Great location with a 2 minute walk into town, close to restaurants, shuttle bus and convenience store. The Pensione next door who manage the log cabin looked after us so well and are super helpful dropping us to ski lifts, onsens and making reservations for us. Chika is an absolute legend and made our stay amazing. Would recommend this house to any large group and great for multiple families"
Hakuba Hotel Paipu No Kemuri
"Good stay and a good location! Lots of locals stay at this hotel."
Villa Rengatei
"Clean accommodation with convenient parking. Near tourist attractions"
Courtyard by Marriott Hakuba
"The Hakuba Hotel prices are generally on the higher side, but this one offers pretty good value for money. It's a room over 40 square meters, perfect for a family of four, with two beds and a tatami area. You just need to lay out the tatami futon yourself. There's a free shuttle to Hakuba ski resort, though the schedule is a bit limited."
Hatago Maruhachi
"This hotel promises a charming stay in a unique atmosphere with traditional Japanese architecture, and it absolutely delivers, if the goal was historical accuracy over modern comfort. While the interiors have technically been “renovated,” the experience feels more like a living museum exhibit titled “How People Survived Before Electricity and Heating.” There is no central heating and only a limited number of portable heaters are provided. Similarly, the dry room is inadequate being an outside structure with a literal barbeque as the heating device, a recipe for wet ski gear. Lighting was also minimal. Cleanliness, unfortunately, took a creative direction. The number of cockroaches found was hard to ignore. One even took the liberty of crawling across a pillow, which was an interesting way to be welcomed. For a country renowned for world-class hygiene, this was a truly unexpected cultural experience. On a good note, the staff were polite and unfailingly apologetic. Sadly, they appeared to be very junior and entirely unable to resolve any issues, serving mainly as emotional support. In summary, perfect for travellers seeking a dark, cold, and spontaneous insect encounters. Anyone expecting warmth, cleanliness, or basic comfort may wish to look… literally anywhere else."
Mizuho Chalet
"Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and the chalet matched the photos. However, I’d rate it 3.5 stars due to poor value for the peak-season price. Check-in instructions were unclear, leaving us to search for our villa in the cold. There were no manuals for the heater, boiler, or washer, and the boiler kept turning off unexpectedly. The concierge was attentive, but these issues dampened the experience. These manuals / improvements / attention to detail should be easy fixes for the management company, but a major oversight for a company that prides itself on hospitality."
