Special shoutout to Thanh Hang and her colleagues for looking out for us and going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! Would highly recommend everyone who’s looking to visit Hanoi to give this hotel a try.
Their Michelin-star restaurant, Red Bean Ma May, serves up some lip-smacking, high quality Vietnamese food. Their house bar offers great cocktails and a view over Hanoi’s old quarter. The in-house spa, La Spa, was the best massage I’ve ever had. So be sure to check them all out while you’re there too!
The service across all these establishments is just as good as its hotel, such a great experience overall!

GGuest UserWe stayed at hotel chateau de hanoi for 2 nights and overall, it was an under-average experience. For its price (pre-discount and considering we were in Vietnam) it might not be that worth it.
We booked the hotel because of its high-rated reviews and its branding as a 5 star boutique hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and the staff was friendly. We arrived hanoi quite early, so we asked if we could do an early check-in. We were informed by the staff that an early check-in was not impossible, but there was an extra charge. It was however totally understandable that the hotel has their arrangements so we went along with the regular check-in time, but the staff quite passive aggressively told us that they informed us on WhatsApp— we were on a flight and later on a Grab to the hotel so we were unable to read the message entirely. I would expect a 5-star service to be more understanding.
To be very honest, I would doubt if the hotel qualifies to be categorized into a 5-star hotel. Of course, the hotel provides customers with all the necessary amenities like toothbrush and shaving kits, but the hotel room didn’t have a window and lighting was insufficient. There was a bathtub, but there was no proper standing shower and it was just a shower head next to the toilet without curtains or doors. The twin bed was extremely small and too easy to be moved around (in a sense that if I wanted to sit at the edge of bed, the mattress would slide to that side).
Hygiene was fine but some areas such as the wall and the bathing area could be improved. We ran out of tissue paper in the room as well but after housekeeping the box was still empty and not replaced with a new box of tissue. Soundproofing at the hotel was not solid since we could constantly hear noises from next door during midnight.
In our booking package free breakfast was included, so we checked it out in the morning. A small buffet was provided, but the plates and utensils had oil on them. There was a set menu, but the scrambled eggs were not up to par and the pho was okay. Considering the hotel brands itself as a 5-star hotel, I would expect better hygiene and quality check.
Location-wise, the hotel is located at the heart of Old Quarter. It is convenient but this also means traffic can get very hectic nearby. Moreover we realized the staff was getting less and less friendly as we reached the end of our stay. It would be nice if their attitude and service could be more consistent, again, given it is a 5-star hotel.

AAnonymous UserGlad to have chosen la siesta hang trung among the hundrrds of hotels in hanoi. Location was close to shops and restaurants yet away from the big crowds. Front desk and door assistants were readily available to assist. Red bean staff were the best. I enjoyed the daily breakfast spread. Tram nguyen is a gem so as rhe rest of the crew (all of them). Both the junior suite and owner's suite are remarkable! See you soon!!!

AAngie WestAll of the staff at checkin were very friendly & helpful in making sure check in was a smooth process, after providing copy of reservation & passports to confirm booking a welcome drink was provided. Ms Kate was super efficient & friendly & escorted us to the room to show us all the amenities & gadgets.
Bell boys carried our bags into & out of the hotel. There had been a water outage impacting the city earlier but we were ok in the hotel & didn’t experience any impact from it. We stayed in room 601, it was massive with a king bed & leather 2 seater lounge, a small (standing only) balcony & seperate bathroom which had a bath, shower x 2 options & toilet, the water strength was good. No English language channels on the TV but does have Netflix etc. As non smokers we did experience an issue with the main AC unit with the smell of cigarettes notable when turned on. There is a second smaller unit which managed well to keep room cool & we didn’t end up using it again. We advised reception & maintenance promptly came & cleaned the filters. Turned out last guests had been smoking in the room. We stuffed up the safe combination & a quick call to reception & someone was up in no time to fix it. On level 6 street noise was not an issue. Drinks in the fridge were not cold, but switching the plug into another power point proved a winner & drinks were cold. We let reception know. Small issues in the scheme of things. Rooms go to level 10 & then stairs to level 11 & 12 where the gym, pool, restaurant & rooftop bar are located. Staff are very friendly throughout the hotel. Our room was cleaned & replenished daily. We had a couple of drinks in the rooftop bar, the views are great & beers were cold& service was good. Breakfast is on level 12 & has a wide array of western & Asian food options & plenty of seating, staff are very friendly & they clean up tables promptly. The food was fresh & plentiful with lots of hot & cold options. There is a plunge pool & has 4 pool loungers & a further lounge area upstairs. It’s not a large space but given the hotels location in the old quarter, it’s lucky to have a pool. Had Swedish massages in the on site day spa, which is located in the basement, amenities are clean & staff on point with their massage techniques.
Settling of our account & check out by Mr Rachel was prompt & a small gift provided to us. Overall, we enjoyed our time in this hotel, highlights are very efficient & friendly service throughout, room size, proximity to tourist areas & hotel amenities.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the old quarter. The on duty manager was friendly & keen to know about our experience. The hotel has only been open 4 months, but you couldn’t tell, the kindness of staff is what makes this hotel standout, it’s definitely worth staying at.

PpinkrippleThe location is near the Hoan Kiem Lake, which is convenient for access. The hotel service is really good. We arrived at midnight, and we called in advance to inform the hotel in case we didn't know. At 1:30 in the middle of the night, the hotel front desk immediately came out to open the door for us and carry our luggage. Every time we came back from outside, someone would ask if we needed a drink to cool off, which was very considerate.
The room was clean and the space was large enough. The hotel breakfast didn't have many varieties but the products were very good, the pho was great, and the fruit was fresh.

DDawei 007What a perfect little place to stay if you have a late arriving flight or a very early morning one. I found the staff here extremely friendly and they used Google translate to communicate. The room was immaculate and offered fantastic value. They offer breakfast at an additional charge , very reasonable and their iced coffee is superb, highly recommend. An ideal place to stay for a night.

AAnonymous UserArrived at the hotel very early. Understood that early check-in was not possible as the room was not ready yet. Wanted to put our luggage at the lobby first as we had activities planned for the day. No help was rendered when I wanted to put the luggage at the lobby. I have to find my own place to store our luggage due to lobby full😑.
Room size is alright to me, but if you are tall, then the ceiling might be a problem for you. Cleanliness is not very good, and the bathroom is showing signs of chokage in the draining system. The location is good, though.
