GGuest UserRemarkable food and service My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending a few days in Hanoi during the Tet holiday, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience at this hotel. One aspect that truly stood out to us was the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. Upon our arrival, Mr. Hieu Ha warmly greeted us, confirmed our booking, and personally escorted us to our room. Throughout our stay, he consistently went above and beyond to ensure that all guests were comfortable and satisfied. His friendly demeanor and genuine care for our well-being left a lasting impression on us. Additionally, we had the opportunity to indulge in a spa session at their sister hotel, conveniently located just a short 5-minute walk away. Despite the closure of many establishments during the Tet holiday, we were in desperate need of some rejuvenation for our weary bodies. Thankfully, the sole receptionist on duty, Ms. Ngoc Pham was attentive and responsive, she skillfully managed to arrange an on-the-day booking for us and tirelessly catered to the needs of various guests. The breakfast buffet offered by the hotel was equally impressive. In addition to the sumptuous spread of food available at the counter (not a lot but good enough), guests also had the option to order made-to-order chicken or beef pho, as well as eggs cooked to their preference. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible flavors of the pho; it surpassed our expectations in every way. The only minor drawback we encountered during our stay was the soundproofing of the rooms. Regrettably, it was not entirely effective in muffling the conversations and occasional coughs from neighboring guests, as well as the sound of doors closing. Overall, our stay at this hotel was exceptional. While the spa experience may not have been the absolute best we had during our trip, the attentive and friendly staff made us feel genuinely valued and ensured that our every need was met.

GGuest UserWe stayed at hotel chateau de hanoi for 2 nights and overall, it was an under-average experience. For its price (pre-discount and considering we were in Vietnam) it might not be that worth it. We booked the hotel because of its high-rated reviews and its branding as a 5 star boutique hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and the staff was friendly. We arrived hanoi quite early, so we asked if we could do an early check-in. We were informed by the staff that an early check-in was not impossible, but there was an extra charge. It was however totally understandable that the hotel has their arrangements so we went along with the regular check-in time, but the staff quite passive aggressively told us that they informed us on WhatsApp— we were on a flight and later on a Grab to the hotel so we were unable to read the message entirely. I would expect a 5-star service to be more understanding. To be very honest, I would doubt if the hotel qualifies to be categorized into a 5-star hotel. Of course, the hotel provides customers with all the necessary amenities like toothbrush and shaving kits, but the hotel room didn’t have a window and lighting was insufficient. There was a bathtub, but there was no proper standing shower and it was just a shower head next to the toilet without curtains or doors. The twin bed was extremely small and too easy to be moved around (in a sense that if I wanted to sit at the edge of bed, the mattress would slide to that side). Hygiene was fine but some areas such as the wall and the bathing area could be improved. We ran out of tissue paper in the room as well but after housekeeping the box was still empty and not replaced with a new box of tissue. Soundproofing at the hotel was not solid since we could constantly hear noises from next door during midnight. In our booking package free breakfast was included, so we checked it out in the morning. A small buffet was provided, but the plates and utensils had oil on them. There was a set menu, but the scrambled eggs were not up to par and the pho was okay. Considering the hotel brands itself as a 5-star hotel, I would expect better hygiene and quality check. Location-wise, the hotel is located at the heart of Old Quarter. It is convenient but this also means traffic can get very hectic nearby. Moreover we realized the staff was getting less and less friendly as we reached the end of our stay. It would be nice if their attitude and service could be more consistent, again, given it is a 5-star hotel.

AAngie WestAll of the staff at checkin were very friendly & helpful in making sure check in was a smooth process, after providing copy of reservation & passports to confirm booking a welcome drink was provided. Ms Kate was super efficient & friendly & escorted us to the room to show us all the amenities & gadgets. Bell boys carried our bags into & out of the hotel. There had been a water outage impacting the city earlier but we were ok in the hotel & didn’t experience any impact from it. We stayed in room 601, it was massive with a king bed & leather 2 seater lounge, a small (standing only) balcony & seperate bathroom which had a bath, shower x 2 options & toilet, the water strength was good. No English language channels on the TV but does have Netflix etc. As non smokers we did experience an issue with the main AC unit with the smell of cigarettes notable when turned on. There is a second smaller unit which managed well to keep room cool & we didn’t end up using it again. We advised reception & maintenance promptly came & cleaned the filters. Turned out last guests had been smoking in the room. We stuffed up the safe combination & a quick call to reception & someone was up in no time to fix it. On level 6 street noise was not an issue. Drinks in the fridge were not cold, but switching the plug into another power point proved a winner & drinks were cold. We let reception know. Small issues in the scheme of things. Rooms go to level 10 & then stairs to level 11 & 12 where the gym, pool, restaurant & rooftop bar are located. Staff are very friendly throughout the hotel. Our room was cleaned & replenished daily. We had a couple of drinks in the rooftop bar, the views are great & beers were cold& service was good. Breakfast is on level 12 & has a wide array of western & Asian food options & plenty of seating, staff are very friendly & they clean up tables promptly. The food was fresh & plentiful with lots of hot & cold options. There is a plunge pool & has 4 pool loungers & a further lounge area upstairs. It’s not a large space but given the hotels location in the old quarter, it’s lucky to have a pool. Had Swedish massages in the on site day spa, which is located in the basement, amenities are clean & staff on point with their massage techniques. Settling of our account & check out by Mr Rachel was prompt & a small gift provided to us. Overall, we enjoyed our time in this hotel, highlights are very efficient & friendly service throughout, room size, proximity to tourist areas & hotel amenities. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the old quarter. The on duty manager was friendly & keen to know about our experience. The hotel has only been open 4 months, but you couldn’t tell, the kindness of staff is what makes this hotel standout, it’s definitely worth staying at.

PpinkrippleThe location is near the Hoan Kiem Lake, which is convenient for access. The hotel service is really good. We arrived at midnight, and we called in advance to inform the hotel in case we didn't know. At 1:30 in the middle of the night, the hotel front desk immediately came out to open the door for us and carry our luggage. Every time we came back from outside, someone would ask if we needed a drink to cool off, which was very considerate. The room was clean and the space was large enough. The hotel breakfast didn't have many varieties but the products were very good, the pho was great, and the fruit was fresh.

GGuest UserRecently I spent 3 nights in Sapa and before returning to Singapore, spent a night in Hanoi at the La Siesta Boutique Hotel. The experience was a great one. When we checked in, Ms Huyen Anh attended to us. She was conversant in both English and Chinese and took our questions patiently and answered them well. I feel she is a gem to the hotel. On the next day, my missus misplaced her Hp in the Grab taxi on the way to the hotel but we were able to recover the Hp both through the help of the staff in the Red Bean Restaurant (which was housed on the 11th floor of the hotel) as well as the hotel staff including Ms Huyen Anh. The food at the Red Bean Restaurant was another thing altogether. Not only was the food great, the service was top notch too. We ended up having our dinner, breakfast and lunch there. I wish to thank both the staff of the La Siesta Hanoi and the Red Bean Restaurant for their great service and hospitality. Both the hotel and the restaurant have big Hearts.

DDawei 007What a perfect little place to stay if you have a late arriving flight or a very early morning one. I found the staff here extremely friendly and they used Google translate to communicate. The room was immaculate and offered fantastic value. They offer breakfast at an additional charge , very reasonable and their iced coffee is superb, highly recommend. An ideal place to stay for a night.

Breakfasts were a bit repetitive, but always delicious. We also booked a one-day Halong Bay tour through the front desk for $50. The cruise ship was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
