We were wowed during our stay. The private onsen was so enjoyable for our family of three. Sitting in the onsen and enjoying the view with birds chirping, is so relaxing. Our dinner was so exquisite and delicious. Service was professional and the shuttle to the hotel from train station was such a great welcome as the walk can be arduous with luggage.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room is very comfortable, with attention to details. Onsen water is nice & hot ; and the food just nice and unique .

The hotel front desk staff were all friendly and made me feel good. The facilities were a bit old, but there was no problem taking a hot spring bath. The view was also good. In particular, the open-air bath in the room was the best. The large bath and open-air bath were smaller than I thought, and the water temperature was low, so it was lukewarm, but it would be nice if they could manage it to be hotter than the appropriate temperature. There was no response from the pick-up service, but when I asked the Amagase station staff, they contacted me right away, so I was able to come and go comfortably even though it was raining. However, the service is only in Japanese and I can't speak English, so it may be inconvenient. If I go on my next trip, I plan to stay there again for multiple nights.

This ryokan offers great value for money. The food is delicious, and the open-air bath and large public bath are both excellent. However, the foreign staff were inexperienced and awkward in explaining dinner and ordering (serving chawanmushi and soup last, lighting the grill first, not bringing rice unless requested). While Amagase Station is a bit difficult to find, if you call the station staff, they'll arrange shuttle service. Overall, this ryokan offers great value for money. The food is truly delicious, and the open-air bath water is excellent!

The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and took the initiative to clear the snow off the windshield of the car I was driving. The attitude of other staff was also very friendly. The scenery of the hotel is very good. If I choose a hot spring hotel again, this one will be my first choice.

I made a reservation for breakfast, dinner, and family bath by phone and enjoyed it privately. The room condition was great, the heating was good, it was clean, and it was great. I'll stay here again next time I come to Hitachi. ㅎㅎ

I went there after watching YouTube, but it didn't have any dust management and felt very old. Don't expect the taste of the kaiseki dinner and breakfast. (The fish at breakfast was delicious because it felt like home cooking!) When I was eating dinner, the candle for boiling the soup went out, so I asked if I could get another one, and the grandmother yelled at me in Japanese. I appealed that I couldn't understand, but she kept yelling in Japanese until the end, and my whole family was shocked because I wondered why she was so angry. (It felt like only one candle was provided.) Maybe she wasn't in good condition because it was dinner.. She was kinder in the morning than in the evening. The way to the open-air bath was long and the stairs were dangerous, so I almost tripped over my yukata several times. Since it was far, I ended up just looking around and didn't use it. Be careful. The water in the large bath was so hot that it was hard to sit for a long time. (My father said it was hot and good. It depends on your taste!) I was dissatisfied with the facilities, service, and kaiseki in general, but the open-air bath in the room was nice. (I think there are 4 rooms with open-air baths in the entire room) The location is also ambiguous, so I don't think I'll visit again. I was most looking forward to a ryokan during my trip to Japan, but it was disappointing. Ah! The young woman who spoke English well and helped me check in and out was really kind. Thanks to her, I felt treated a little bit. If you see this review, I'd like to tell you that I'm grateful.

Checked in again after 5 years, and the staff's service is still friendly and friendly (lead to the counter to register from the parking lot). The resort hotel only has about 20 rooms, with indoor and outdoor hot spring areas, and rich and delicious Japanese cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Beds will still be set up for guests during dinner time.

When you get off at Amagase Station, the station staff will kindly ask you the name of the ryokan and whether you have a pick-up reservation. If you do not have a reservation, they will call you and let you pick it up right away. There is no convenience store near the ryokan, but there is a vending machine for drinks. The food at the ryokan is delicious and the portions are quite large. There is also a sufficient variety of alcohol. You can have a delicious breakfast the next day, so it was no problem. Above all, the bedding and the table that were laid out while I was there for dinner, and the warm messages from Hanako and Junko in Korean until the end when I left made me feel even happier. I recommend that those who go to the open-air bath experience it.

I recommend staying for just one night. The meals are the same, which is a shame. I wish they offered a meal-free option, and the older woman serving us was unfriendly. She even handed the food to the person across from us with one hand. I've never seen a place like this before.

Pros: The room was spacious and clean, the view was great, and the water quality was good. The food was also decent. I would definitely visit again. Cons: The open-air bath is a bit far away, so it might be difficult to use in the winter.

This was my third visit. Always the same kindness, great food, best hot springs, best ryokan. Thank you again to the wonderful wife and kind staff. Thank you for giving me good memories. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance.
