"The hotel room was an orthodox Japanese-style room. It was well-cleaned. For dinner, we had monkfish hotpot in the restaurant in the separate building. As you would expect from authentic monkfish, it was delicious. The young proprietress gave us a concise explanation of the different parts of the fish, and prepared them efficiently, which made the meal even more delicious. The next day's breakfast was a sumptuous one, complete with ozoni (traditional Japanese soup), as it was New Year's Day. I would definitely like to return if I have the opportunity."

The view from the window was of the sea and the harbor. There were also several tennis courts downstairs, but play ended around 9:30 pm. We left very early the next day, and the hotel had staff available to handle check-out. The parking lot was large. It was a great spot to watch the sunrise."

The linens are pure white, the rental yukatas are crisp and well-sewn, and there's no trace of the old-fashioned smell that's common in business hotels. The large public bath and sauna are larger than I expected, and the amenities are plentiful. The breakfast salad is fresh, with a wide variety of side dishes. The front desk and breakfast staff were very friendly, and I had a pleasant stay. If I ever go to Hitachi again, I'd like to stay here again."
