The linens are pure white, the rental yukatas are crisp and well-sewn, and there's no trace of the old-fashioned smell that's common in business hotels. The large public bath and sauna are larger than I expected, and the amenities are plentiful. The breakfast salad is fresh, with a wide variety of side dishes. The front desk and breakfast staff were very friendly, and I had a pleasant stay. If I ever go to Hitachi again, I'd like to stay here again."

"There is no elevator, so carrying our luggage up to the third floor and going up and down the stairs to the breakfast area on the basement floor were a bit tough. The breakfast was light and good for an elderly couple, but we thought there were not many vegetables. There were a variety of shampoos in the amenity corner, and it was fun to try the silicone shampoo and conditioner, which I had never purchased before, even though it was a little pricey. It made my hair soft and smooth, which I was happy about. The staff were very friendly, and their Ibaraki dialect was great. Next time, I'd like to try the bar in the basement!"

"The hotel room was an orthodox Japanese-style room. It was well-cleaned. For dinner, we had monkfish hotpot in the restaurant in the separate building. As you would expect from authentic monkfish, it was delicious. The young proprietress gave us a concise explanation of the different parts of the fish, and prepared them efficiently, which made the meal even more delicious. The next day's breakfast was a sumptuous one, complete with ozoni (traditional Japanese soup), as it was New Year's Day. I would definitely like to return if I have the opportunity."
