Hobart Hotel Guide

Hobart is the capital of Tasmania in Australia. The main gateway to the city is Hobart International Airport (HBA), which provides links from other major cities in Australia. The airport isn’t located too far from the downtown area and can be conveniently accessed by taxi.

One of the most popular tourist attractions in Hobart is the Salamanca Market. At the market, locals sell handicrafts and other local products every Saturday morning. The hundreds of stalls at the market also sell snacks and locally grown produce. As its name infers, the market is located in Salamanca Place. Other attractions in Hobart include the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the Playhouse Theatre, and Theatre Royal, which is the oldest theater in Australia.

Hobart experiences pleasant weather all year round. During the spring, the Tulip Festival takes place at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, which are also home to a wide variety of Tasmanian plants and trees. Other natural attractions include Sullivan’s Cove and Mount Wellington.

The Cascade Brewery was established in 1824 and is located in South Tasmania. At the brewery, visitors can sample different types of local beers and even non-alcoholic beverages. The brewery is an excellent place to spend an afternoon.

Whether you come to Hobart for business or vacation, there are hotels available to accommodate all types of visitors. Hotels in Hobart range from business hotels to youth hostels.
