Brook Trout Inn

Very good service from lady who took my call. We had the bottom room (302). Superficially, the room is well equipped. But with the following issues: Carpet was moldy and no amount of freshener could overcome the odor. Bathroom is dated and needs TLC. Room door needs repair. TV monitor is starting to fail - image is blurry. Breakfast area needs another coffee maker. Having only one created a traffic jam. For one night, the property was passable. But if it were for more, the carpet would have definitely been an issue.

We had our church's annual marriage retreat there the first weekend in April and it was so nice!! The rooms were clean and the main dining/sunroom area was clean & cozy. Breakfast was great with options ranging from cereal, variety of bagels, English muffins with cream cheese and jams to bacon and eggs. It felt like we were guests in someone's home. Kristen and Julie were very professional, kind, informative and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their stay! The location is great and 30 minutes away from Brevard and the Highlands areas.

My mom and I stayed here overnight on 3-10-24. This inn was clean, cozy and private. The owner, Grace, and her father were very nice and even followed up with a phone call to see how our stay was. No one does that nowadays. Customer service means a lot to us, and we will definitely stay here again. Thanks again, Stacie.

We came in yesterday evening. Julie was so kind as to leave keys waiting on us. Walked into a spacious room filled with all the amenities of home. Was not expecting a full, furnished kitchen, living area with fold out couch, large bathroom, washer and dryer, large bedroom with king and queen bed (comfortable bed and pillows), a noise maker (we like a fan for noise), and breakfast. Breakfast is on your own whenever you are ready. Make bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, bagels, oa**eal... you decide! Coffee is in the common area or your room. Sugar, Splenda, Stevia... you decide; creamer or half and half. Pellet ice with cold water. Orange juice or fresh fruit. We came to visit our daughter. After discussing this with Julie, she arranged for us to stay in our room undisturbed until she goes into work this afternoon at 3. This would not happen anywhere else. Price is great compared to all hotels around. More like home than any of the rest. And we stopped at several before we wound up here! Thankful for Julie's kindness and the family a**osphere she has created.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights and did NOT want to leave. My wife, upon checking in a room, brings out her antiseptic wipes and starts a deep clean. After looking around here, she said no need and let it go for the first time I can ever remember. The setting alone makes you want to just stay on the property and relax. Julie, the owner, is simply the BEST. She and her husband are the owners and you can tell the pride they take in the property. She is not always on site but you have a code to the common area in the office area and can go in at any time for a late night snack or play cards or board games which are there for guest to use. My wife and I travel a lot and this ranks right up at the top as far as overall experience. You will not go wrong staying here. We will go back to this area as often as possible and go out of our way to stay here if need be.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Rooms are very clean and they have a continental breakfast with anything you might want and a full kitchen to cook eggs and bacon which they supply. We gotlucky and Julie the owner cooked our bacon and eggs for us. You can go in after hours with a code if you are looking for a snack or coffee or tea, etc. They are also a great help with directions and suggestions. Will definitely be back.

Nice, quaint place in a good location. The street noise can be a bit loud but it wasn't awful. The walls in the room are very thin so you can hear the other people in the adjacent rooms a bit too much.

A lovely property made up of 3-4 buildings each with a few accommodations. We had a 2 bedroom family unit that was very comfortable, clean and perfect for 4. The lodge is very nice and accessible at all times to guest with a fire, games, books and tea/coffe

The Inn is a quaint comfortable hotel. The 2 staff I met were lovely…..welcoming and kind. But the inside and out needed a good cleaning. Floors, windows, porch, blinds, steps….bathroom needed to be cleaned.
