GGuest UserWhere do I start? First of all I never write review of hotels so this is a first for me. I stay in hotels all over the world 50-100 nights per year so I am very picky with any praise. I almost always stay in branded hotels because I normally can expect the consistency of the product that is the hallmark of the global five star hotel brands. However on this trip to Pengzhou - where we go often to visit family - I decided to take a chance and stay in a home stay. I can say we are truly grateful that we tried this. An Li and her husband professor Yang have done an incredible job on the property. They are first and foremost incredible hosts and are friends to all. But they have also created as unique a property I have ever seen. Sitting on a large multi acre piece of land abutting a small creek, they have designed and built an incredible home. The decoration and attention to detail is immaculate. The clean lines of the design along with the homely interior design touches make this a place that we felt like we were actually coming home to every night. The daily chef level breakfast by An Li was full of five star hotel details and taste. Every day was different from American style to local style and all in between and all delicious! Waking up to nothing but birds chirping and looking out the window at a beautiful field of crops was incredible. There are many things I am sure I am leaving out (comfortable rooms - check, water pressure - check, clean - check). You will have to stay there to fully appreciate all the extra touches that make this the best homestay we have ever had the privilege of staying in! We can’t wait to return !

Perfect
LLanJiangWhen you yearn for a different lifestyle but not ready to commit yourself to changes? For me, traveling is a way to get a sneak peek into “what would it be”, even if just for a moment. I feel incredibly fortunate to have come across Several Mountain Houses, and I’m grateful for the owners’ generosity in creating such a beautiful place and sharing their mountain life with guests.
Many guests have already praised the lovely courtyard, the nature-surrounded rooms, the sensorial bed linens, and the warm, earthy aesthetic of the space. I wholeheartedly agree. Beyond that, there was something even more special. I was wowed by the tidy kitchen, thoughtfully designed and completed with high-quality appliances and tableware. It’s a place that move your mind from “I’m staying in a B&B” to “I’m staying in a home.” The cherry on top? Having the owner made you a perfect cup of latte or cappuccino in the morning. Of all my travels in China, this is the first homestay where I’ve experienced that personal touch.
We arrived by Didi and had to drop off by the roadside, cross a wooden bridge, and then tackle a steep hill path. We called for help and the owner came down to meet us and made sure we felt welcomed. My friend told me she felt like we had stepped into a scene from a web novel—the little challenge at the start, the homey atmosphere, the owners and their charming “career life to mountain life” story all made the experience very special.
I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful mountain retreat. It's the perfect spot to unwind and reset.
A small tip: if you're in the mood for trekking, head up to the Wulong Gorge scenic area and work your way back. If we had known, we would totally skip Baiyun (White Cloud) temple / village and spend more time relaxing at the house.

AAndrewBWhere to start! If you are looking for a few nights away from the bustle of Chinese cities and you want to relax and unwind in nature then Suxi Qingshan Forest Homestay is perfect!
The hotel is easily accessible from Chengdu. A short 25 minutes train ride from Chengdu to Qingchengshan station and then the hotel staff will arrange to pick you up.
As soon as you arrive you will realise what an absolute gem this hotel is!
The hotel is nestled amongst the hills with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. This is a luxury hotel with the services and infrastructure to match.
We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea upon arrival and you also have the possibility to enjoy a hot water jacuzzi, a fitness area, walks around the hotel forest grounds as well as many other experiences proposed by the hotel.
The hotel is only 15 mins drive from Dujiangyan Giant Panda Centre and the hotel staff organised transport there and back for us. We would recommend this Panda reserve as it is much quieter than the reserves in Chengdu!
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay and the food was truly exceptional! We chose the set menu, which took us on a culinary journey through Sichuan. Each plate was refined, delicious and made using fresh ingredients.
The breakfast was equally delicious, fresh and healthy.
We would like to highlight the kindness and warmth of all the hotel staff. They were always available to answer any questions and organise activities to make our stay magical. The hotel staff were able to communicate with us in both English and French.
We stayed at Suxi Homestay looking for a relaxing few days away from cities and we were blown away by the experience! We would have loved to have extended our stay!

GGuest UserI really wanted to relax and take a break at a hotel at the foot of Mount Qingcheng, and it proved to be an excellent decision!
The moment I stepped into the hotel, it felt like entering a tranquil paradise, completely cut off from the hustle and bustle outside. The reception area was tastefully minimalist, with a subtle aroma of sandalwood lingering in the air, instantly putting one's mind at ease. During check-in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, thoroughly explaining the hotel's facilities and activities. My positive impression was solidified immediately!
My room, in a style I absolutely adore, had a calming Zen aesthetic, featuring wooden furniture paired with neutral-toned linens, making it simple yet inviting. The aroma diffuser they provided emitted a perfectly subtle fragrance, and drifting off to sleep with that scent in the air, I slept incredibly soundly.
The hotel's activities were equally impressive. Breakfast offered a diverse selection of wholesome and delicious food, including fresh fruits and vegetables, artisanal bread, and delicious meat buns. Every mouthful was both healthy and thoroughly enjoyable. For lunch and dinner, guests can choose between set menus or à la carte options.
My experience at Qingchengshan Hegushanju Hotel brought me a much-needed sense of peace and quiet. If you're yearning for a slower pace of life, this is the place to be – you definitely won't be disappointed!

If you like to find a place to relax on weekends in a noisy city, you must try it. 10,000 likes 👍🏻 I look forward to checking in again in the summer 😏 It should be more comfortable

GGuest User”Create the wilderness in the south, stay humble and return to the countryside”, the name is full of poetry and picturesqueness, but I went there because of the zero negative reviews. I thought what kind of B&B makes everyone like it so much that I can't bear to leave negative reviews. Stayed for one night and it was a really different experience. Simple, ancient style, ancient charm and a bit of Zen. If you wander around the courtyard for nothing, you will find a lot of ingenuity, such as throwing pots, shooting arrows, teasing the parrot that can only bark but cannot speak, and writing calligraphy; you can also watch Meditate, meditate, relax, and forget the troubles of the world with eyes full of green. In front of the hall, there is a cactus owned by Mr. Gu, who is over 80 years old, and it makes me deeply moved. I ate breakfast while smelling the fragrance of books. It was a really different feeling. The breakfast and dinner were exquisite and rich, and many arrangements surprised you. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home, all in all a pleasant trip.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and hygienic, but there were two drawbacks: the soundproofing was too poor. We could hear the people in the next room talking and laughing loudly late at night. We complained to the housekeeper many times, but we were still woken up by the noise at 1 a.m.; the second point was that there was no hot water in Huasha. The housekeeper came up to adjust it and said it was hot water, but the temperature was probably around 20 degrees. I really couldn't accept it in the winter.

The furniture is also a bit old, and it must have taken a lot of thought when it first opened. #Location Transportation is said to be halfway up the mountain, but it is more recommended for tourists who drive or hike. We told the store that we planned to take the cable car, so we listened to the front desk and took the small road to Feixian Temple and entered the scenic area from the side door. As a result, it was very embarrassing to get stuck in the middle. If you hike up to Laojun Pavilion, it will take another two hours. If you take the cable car, you have to walk down the mountain to the gate, and then queue up for a boat and cable car, which will delay time and waste energy. I wanted to save time and energy, but I was misled. It is also recommended that businesses do their homework before promoting their own location to avoid misleading tourists. #Room facilities The mountain view room is a double room. The space in the room is not large. The environment is the worst in this Chengdu trip. The environment outside the room is okay. Many facilities such as the gym and swimming pool lack maintenance. #Sanitation After staying for two nights, the sanitation was not cleaned. Only the garbage was taken out and the toiletries and towels were changed. The welcome fruit was not fresh. #Service The service staff were polite on the surface, but the service was not in place. In addition to the above problems, the service attitude of the restaurant is also unsatisfactory. On the first day of check-in, there were not many guests, so the breakfast was very simple. On the second day, there were many guests and a buffet breakfast service was provided. There were many choices. After all, the breakfast was marked as 68 per person. There was no explanation or compensation for the difference between the two days. The waiting time for dinner was even more outrageous. I made an appointment for dinner at more than 4 o'clock, but I didn't eat it until 7 o'clock. In addition, there was a pick-up service marked, but it was too far when I picked it up, and when I sent it, it was said that it would only be sent to the foot of the mountain. The experience was very bad. #Cost-effectiveness is not high. Five-star opening layout, four-star price, two-star room, and home-style service. Overall, it is not worth it.
