The hotel is conveniently located near Sha Tin Plaza, making it a great base for shopping and exploring the area. The location is definitely a big plus. However, the room felt a bit outdated—the walls had some yellowing and small cracks, and the overall cleanliness was okay but not outstanding. I’d rate it 7 out of 10 for cleanliness. It’s decent for a short stay, but there’s room for improvement in maintenance and upkeep.

This hotel is linked to a few malls and the MTR Shatin station is linked to one of the malls. Instead of taking train from the airport (needed to change at various interchange) there is a direct public bus from the airport to hotel which was superb since we were travelling with children and old folks. Rooms are spacious. Standing shower which is great for older folks and younger children. Self service laundry is available at this hotel. Excellent service from the staff as mentioned by my mum. She did not have sufficient stored value in her octopus card to proceed with her washing of laundry. Since it was already late into the night, the hotel staff was kind enough to use her own octopus card to help get the machines working while my mum paid the staff in cash. Thumbs up for the initiative by the staff. :) Would definitely recommend this hotel to those who are looking for spacious rooms and less packed vicinity.

It's not in the city center or a bustling area, but the MTR (subway) is close by, and having a shuttle bus is such a huge plus! (Schedule in Picture 5) The room was incredibly spacious and spotless! The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and the three-way split (toilet, shower, and sink all separate) was incredibly convenient! Shopping is super convenient too. Just hop on the shuttle bus directly to the Royal Park Hotel, which gives you direct access to Sha Tin Plaza, where you can find absolutely everything you need. For business travelers like me who don't need to be in tourist hotspots like Tsim Sha Tsui, this location is incredibly convenient! At a price point of 500-600, it offers exceptional value for money! This will definitely be my go-to place for future stays!

It was my second stay in Hyatt Shatin this summer. I enjoyed the stay, room is big, good view (I got upgraded to harbour view room, thanks), swimming pool is large, friendly staff, quiet location with easy access to shopping malls nearby. Only one thing was not good during this stay, the jacuzzi pool was out of service but without any notice on hotel. This hotel would be a priority option for my next staycation.

i paid through the agent to book a room a week ago. However, when i did the check in, front desk insisted i hadn't paid. To stay at night, i had to pay again with my credit card. Five days later, the hotel emailed me a refund.

I booked a double suite here a week ago. It was my first time in Hong Kong, and I assumed Mong Kok would be relatively unsafe. After reading numerous reviews of B&Bs, I felt even more apprehensive. So, I decided to stay for one night and then extend my stay if the environment was good. Arriving in Mong Kok, I was unfamiliar with the area, so I got lost for a while. Once I found my way, I discovered there were two entrances, one closed after 11 PM. There were also two elevators at each entrance, one for odd and one for even numbers. Upon check-in, the host was very welcoming. Perhaps because the double room was full or something else, they gave us a triple room with a window at no extra charge. The door had a combination lock, and the room was spotless, with spotless floors and immaculately white walls. There was no clutter on the bed, and the quilt was neatly folded. The bathroom was also spotless, with no odors or debris. It was a bit cramped, and the toilet had a long, lingering clatter after flushing, which I hope could be improved. There was also a small TV in the room, but the channel selection was a bit limited. The room also provided hangers, slippers, shampoo, and shower gel, but you had to bring your own toothpaste. Seeing this, I decided to renew my lease the next day. To my surprise, the double room seemed to be sold out. The landlord then asked me what I had paid for the room. Before I could find my bill, the landlord had already extended my stay for another night at 350 RMB, which was 2 RMB lower than the price on the platform! Overall, I personally felt the room was better than the promotional photos, exceeding my expectations. The landlord's service attitude also made me sincerely decide to write a positive review for her. 👍 I will definitely choose this B&B again next time.

Good location, very close to Mongkok station. The room is not big. Booked for 3 people, got 3 single beds. The entrance is a bit narrow for carrying luggage. Have to walk up the stairs and take the lift to the 4th floor to check in. The accommodation is on the 5th floor. The room is reasonably clean. The bathroom is not big according to the size of the room, but there is a separate toilet and shower area. Looks new. No breakfast, but near the market. Can walk to eat congee comfortably. The staff may mostly speak Chinese, but the service is good. There is only one officer. Went at the end of December.

Five-star praise 🩷Environment: This stay was a great experience! From the moment you stepped into the hotel, you felt the meticulous service. The front desk staff are warm and friendly, the check-in process is efficient and convenient, and the service attitude is excellent 💚Hygiene: The room is clean and tidy without any odor, warmly decorated, and the bedding is soft and comfortable, so you can sleep until dawn. The facilities are complete and well maintained. The bathroom has sufficient hot water and stable water pressure. 💛Facilities: All hotels have them. Slippers, shower gel, bath towels, and hand towels are all provided. In addition, the hotel is in an excellent location, with convenient transportation, shopping and entertainment. The environment is quiet and there is no noise disturbance. Whether you are traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is an excellent choice for location. It is only a few hundred meters away from the subway. It is also very convenient to go to the Mong Kok Deli Food Market for a few hundred meters. I will choose it again without hesitation next time. Choose here.

Where to Stay in Hong Kong

  • Tsim Sha Tsui: Tsim Sha Tsui, located at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, is one of the most representative and bustling areas in the city. It boasts a rich historical background and a modern appearance, and is renowned for its busy commercial district and multicultural characteristics. It features luxury shopping centers, internationally renowned hotels and high-rise buildings. At the same time, it retains historical traces, with many ancient buildings and museums. Showcase Hong Kong's culture and history. And don't forget to take a stroll along the Victoria Harbour at night and enjoy the breathtaking night view of Harbour City!
  • Sham Shui Po: Neon-lit electronics graveyards hide 80HKD(≈15.6 AUD) coffin hostel beds above secret hipster cafes. Steps from the cyberpunk Apliu Street flea market (protip: hunt for retro cameras at 7am before tech geeks swarm). Hong Kong’s Khao San Road—backpackers slurp $18 fishball noodles under dystopian signage, but post-11pm, it morphs into a Blade Runner set.
  • Central & Lan Kwai Fong: By day, finance bros sprint through IFC Mall; by night, Champagne soaks historic cobblestones. Gay bars hide behind Hollywood Road graffiti, with designer hotels (1200−3000+HKD≈235-587 AUD) along the Mid-Levels Escalator. Live for 3am chilli crab with baijiu shots? This is your neon-drenched playground—but avoid NYE: LKF becomes a champagne-supernova warzone where stilettos jam in storm drains.
