"For my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels, mainly across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of the hotels from best to worst in terms of overall experience, with value for money factored in: 1. Capella Sydney (Lower value for money) 2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (High value for money) 3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (Medium value for money) 4. Crown Towers Melbourne (High value for money) 5. Le Méridien Melbourne (Medium value for money) 6. Hilton Adelaide (Medium value for money) 7. The Langham Melbourne (Lower value for money) 8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (Best value for money) 9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (High value for money) 10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel, Melbourne (Lower value for money) 11. The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne (Worst value for money) The Park Hyatt Melbourne stood out as having the best service among all 11 hotels. We arrived around 5:00 PM and were informed our room wasn't quite ready, requiring a 10-15 minute wait. Before I could even react, the front desk staff immediately offered complimentary breakfast for the next day as an apology, along with a voucher for two drinks at the lobby bar while we waited. Of course, we happily accepted! The hotel's location is a little outside the very center, situated behind Parliament House and right next to St. Patrick's Cathedral, which you can see from the rooms. Fitzroy Gardens, home to Cook's Cottage, is also within walking distance and worth a visit. I was very impressed with the hotel's amenities. The room even had a three-prong power outlet, a feature I didn't find in any other hotel. The 'old money' decor gave it a grounded and understated elegance. Breakfast was excellent and very extensive, with freshly made Western pastries that were incredibly delicious. I heard their flat white is even better than those from popular specialty coffee shops. The heated pool was long and narrow, feeling like it was definitely more than 25 meters. There's also a tennis court available for A$50 an hour, though you need to bring your own racket."

"This hotel has an absolutely excellent location. It is very close to the airport bus stop, making the trip to the airport incredibly convenient. Since the hotel opened in 2004, the overall facilities are a bit dated, but everything is well-maintained and in good working order. A nice bonus is that the bathroom is very spacious."

"The Jacuzzi was good and the accommodated for my children in 1 room. The buffet breakfast had a good continental variety. But the bed was hard but there was a pillow menu to help a little more with comfort.. the sofa in the room was only 2 single seats. And parking was $30 per night and parking lot was a really tight space."

"The room was clean and tidy, perfect for two people. The hotel is located on the third to sixth floors of the Adelaide Stadium, in a quiet area. Breakfast is à la carte with a wide variety of options and excellent service."

"The room was a bit small and the cleanliness was just okay. Breakfast was the same every single day, which got really old. However, the location is great – it's lively nearby, close to Chinatown and attractions, making it very convenient for dining and shopping."

"Great view, decent service and location however I was put in the room next to the lifts and was kept awake/woken up for a large portion of the night until late, and early in the mornings on both nights of my stay. Complained at reception however they weren’t much help nor did they offer a discount on my stay. Very disappointed - otherwise great just make sure they don’t put you next to the noisy elevators!"

"Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy – just a bus ride and then two streetcar stops. It's an apartment-style hotel, complete with a microwave and a mini-fridge. I mainly booked it for the balcony, which offered a nice view. Despite there being businesses downstairs, it was surprisingly quiet. There's a small supermarket nearby and Chinatown is also very close."

"This brand new Marriott hotel is well located in the central area. The room is clean and nicely equipped as a five star hotel. It has lived up to the standard of a Marriott hotel, with amazing services by the team."

"Nice service appartment. Has all the amenities like feidge, washer, dryer, cooktop microwave. Located in good location near woolies and convinient to commute. Has private car park paid and unpaid both. Access to the rooms from carpark is bit tedious if you have luggage and kids. It needs access card to enter the lobby and lifts. Bathroom was bit tiny for a family with two kids. But i do recommend as its a good choice if you are staying in adelaide for more than one night."

"Rating: 3.5 / 5 Pros: Excellent location, spotless cleanliness, and a great overall vibe. Cons: Overpriced for the room size, and water wasn't complimentary. Overall, a lovely stay at Vibe Hotel with a great atmosphere and clean facilities. However, given the high price point, the room felt quite small, and it was disappointing that basic essentials like bottled water weren't included. Good stay No free parking!!"
