Hotel Solar Porto de Galinhas

"We came as a family of 7 and had 3 rooms. 2 of those were the ones with a jacuzzi (sadly we only used this once) but the room was perfect with all the facilities needed (coffee maker, kettle and a fridge/minibar that actually cooled things!) AC worked VERY well. The sea can be a bit rough but there's lifeguards stationed right in front of the hotel. The hotel is quite compact so nothing is far unlike many resorts in the area which i thought was a big plus. Food was mostly good and varied, so no complaints and all the waiting staff were attentive and helpful. Even during busy times it never felt too crowded.The wristband system worked perfectly and made life a lot easier. The animation team were the best part of the hotel, always keeping us entertained with dances, volleyball matches, challenges and quizzes during the day etc... Tia Bombom, Flor, Sol and Beijinho and Tio Tartaruga and Ninja are all incredible at their jobs! Having said that, if you want peace and quiet it is probably not the hotel for you as there's always (fairly loud) music/entertainment happening. I'd also say that the hotel could offer free filtered water/water fountain given it's so hot in the area. I got told off for filling a small bottle during breakfast and thought that gave a bad and stingy impression as it is something very simple and we bought many other drinks during the day. Overall a fantastic family friendly hotel and I would easily come back as we felt safe and well looked after!"

Pousada Ecoporto

"I didn’t stay here, I had dinner at the restaurant of Pousada EcoPort. The territory of Pousada is beautiful and very clean, the hall and restaurant area are also very clean. The restaurant service is excellent. but there are problems with the restaurant food. I ordered 2 different octopus dishes to try the taste from the chef, since there is an advertisement for the restaurant on the road. the octopus was either terribly overcooked or terribly undercooked, Both dishes were rubbery, impossible to chew. The ingredients added to both dishes were also tasteless and they were from the level of a cheap eatery . Don’t waste your money in this restaurant until they change the chefs"

"In Porto de Galinhas, most people don't speak English at all. Kembali Hotel has quite a few front desk staff who speak English well and are very friendly and will accommodate all your requests. I especially recommend the room service, it's delicious and reasonably priced. If I visit this area again, I'll choose Kembali."
